Falkensee Campground
I was there for a long weekend. I really enjoyed it.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean.
The area is great for biking. The food was great at a reasonable price.

Absolutely the best 👍
Great place with everything you could ask for. And, of course, as dog owners (with three furry friends), we were really happy that there was an alternative spot for the pups to swim, since the main lake was infested with blue-green algae. All in all, a really lovely place, and we had a great vacation.

Wedding with Overnight Stay
We booked various accommodations for our son’s wedding. Everything went wonderfully. All the guests were absolutely thrilled—both with the accommodations and with the celebration, which took place at the SeeHuis. It was a fantastic event all around… the food was top-notch, the service and the location… everything was just great!

Perfect for families
Perfect for kids.... Great places to swim and a playground. The area has traffic-calming measures, so you can let the little ones run around without worry.
Everyone is considerate.
Lots of nice neighbors and an excellent restaurant with great service and good value for the price.

Highly recommended
Everything's great. One small suggestion for improvement: The showers could definitely use a bit more water pressure. Unfortunately, washing out long hair is a bit of a hassle.

No quiet hours after 10 p.m., crowded restrooms, the typical camping crowd
Overall, a nice place with more and more partygoers
This was our fourth time there, and I’m sorry to say that I didn’t enjoy it as much this time around. The crowd is heading in a direction I can’t relate to: many people are just there to drink alcohol, listen to music, or make noise late into the night. It’s also not as camper-friendly as it used to... be—people snap at you, and rules are ignored. Plus, there are just too many e-scooters zipping around, most of which go way too fast and ring their bells to get you out of the way. I find that really borderline. Every day (understandably) there are 3–6 truck deliveries, which doesn’t exactly help you relax. And it feels like there are at least as many dogs as people on the grounds, which can also be disruptive. One dog was barking and howling until midnight. All in all, it’s now mostly the party crowd that gathers there. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with a relaxing camping vacation anymore.

And just like in previous years, there’s practically no Wi-Fi. At times I had full signal bars, but nothing would load and the connection kept dropping. I walked all over the campground—no matter where I went, it was always the same. I also find it downright outrageous that they’re still advertising Wi-Fi availability. NO ONE! gets Wi-Fi reception there. The only thing that actually works is the Wi-Fi from the Seehuus.
Unfortunately, many trees and bushes were also removed or cut down, leaving very little shade on the campsites. At the Seehuus, the campsites are now practically right next to the parking lot, which isn’t great either. But I’m sure they had their reasons.
I also have some issues with their pricing policy: there’s now a holiday surcharge, which I find really annoying. Especially with kids, you can only go on vacation during school breaks, so families are now being “penalized” even more. And you have to book at least 7 consecutive nights during the holidays.
The campground has expanded a bit; there are now also sites on the large meadow for RVs, etc., with electricity. Overall, it was extremely crowded there. And as a result, the restrooms and showers were often occupied. And the restroom building on the peninsula might not have been very well thought out: there’s always water on the floor in the washrooms (I don’t know what people are doing in there), and the humidity is indescribable. It was really unbearable in there. In the orange restroom building, it’s somehow different—better.

Well, of course, some of this is just nitpicking, but we’d just come back from a road trip through France (which isn’t exactly known for its great campgrounds), and there, some things were actually a bit better thought out. You can probably tell—we probably won’t be coming back a fifth time. But that’s not a big deal; four times is enough ;) Falkensteinsee will still have plenty of visitors even without us.

Basically, it’s a nice place. I think the restaurant is great—they have super delicious burgers there. The lake and the beaches are great, too. In recent years (including this one), there’s always been a circus there. The kids’ activities are okay, but not very varied. So, it’s definitely worth visiting at least once. But a week is more than enough.

Top Campground
It was our first time at that campground, and we’d come back anytime. The campground is definitely worth recommending.
The only negative thing we have to say about our vacation is that we had the misfortune of having the youth fire brigade right behind us on the field, making a racket all night long.... It finally quieted down at four in the morning. However, this didn’t last long, because at exactly seven in the morning, the JBL speaker blasted “Good Morning, Sunshine.”
We’ll definitely be back.

The speed limit is often ignored and rarely enforced. Cars drive around the lot all night long.

It has grown too large too quickly, and there appear to be problems with the cleaning of the restrooms in general due to a shortage of staff

The location and the site itself are fantastic, with the lake, and the outdoor areas are well-maintained and attractive.
We’ve stayed with you many times, but unfortunately, you’ve expanded significantly in recent years.
As a result, hygiene has noticeably suffered...
The bathrooms were never really... clean, and we only saw staff once in 8 days.
The restroom buildings and dishwashing areas are also reaching their capacity limits.
We’ve been camping for years and aren’t picky, but cleanliness—with so many people and such high traffic—is the be-all and end-all at a campground.
We do think, however, that this can be addressed...
So here’s to continued success!

A very nice campground
We set up our family tent on the south beach of the campground and really enjoyed it there; our kids had a lot of fun, too.

I’d especially like to highlight the super-friendly staff and the spotlessly clean restrooms.

I don't need a party
Our first camping vacation with our own trailer at Falkensteinsee was absolutely fantastic. It really feels like home here—the campground, the people, the lake, everything around us. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you so much for the wonderful time.
