Right on the French Atlantic coast – less than an hour from Nantes – Camping de L'Hermitage des Dunes offers you a seaside getaway! You can pitch your tent or park your camper right by the sea. From the bar, …restaurant, and some pitches, you’ll have stunning views of the tides and the ocean. Local tip: Try “foot fishing” – collecting fresh shellfish right from the beach! Your pitch with the sound of the sea As soon as you arrive, you’ll feel the calm and relaxing atmosphere. The pitches are spacious – and some even offer sea views! If you prefer more comfort, cosy mobile homes are also available. In summer, you’ll meet many French families with kids; in the off-season, the site attracts peace-seekers from around the world. The sanitary facilities were fully renovated in 2019. Swim, dig, and collect shellfish Love water? Great – the heated indoor pool opens as early as April. There’s also a paddling pool for the little ones. And the beach is just 50 metres away – go through the gate and you're there! Depending on the tide, the beach is ever-changing – wide and sunny at low tide, perfect for mudflats, walks, or cycling tours. And don’t forget: you can go foot fishing and collect your own mussels and shellfish – then cook them fresh at your pitch. Tip: Bring water shoes for the kids – the shells can be sharp.
