- 5.0CLChristian L.september 2026PositivaIn a quiet location, but not "remote."NegativaWe didn't find any.14-Day Dream VacationWe had no trouble getting here from North Rhine-Westphalia, which is quite a distance away. The drive is also easy for vehicles with trailers.
Check-in was hassle-free.
The campground itself is cashless. All charges are added to your booking account as they accrue—bread rolls, gas cylinder exchanges,... electricity.... It’s all handled very easily.
I highly recommend the gas cylinder exchange—they tend to run out just when you want to grill or heat up the place. The prices are reasonable, and it’s right on-site.
Within walking distance is a decent restaurant at the neighboring campground and a fish stand.
Since the campground is located behind the dike, wind and other elements are well managed.
You can take lovely walks with the dogs, including along the beach. Alternatively, there are also very nice bike routes you can access directly from the campground.
On the campground itself, the sites are assigned and large enough for a trailer, awning, and car. The sites are on grass, so tarps aren’t allowed—only breathable mats. Electricity and water are easily accessible. Wastewater is disposed of in the restroom building.
The restroom building has plenty of shower facilities; it’s very clean and spacious. It was never dirty at any time, even when it rained. :) You can wash dishes next to the building, and clean your fish in front of it. There’s also a dog shower at the restroom building.
The vacation apartments (my in-laws stayed there) are very well furnished and spacious. The rooms are nicely laid out, and there’s a great terrace. Each apartment has a "handcart" for transporting groceries and luggage from the parking lot, since you can’t drive a car right up to the apartments (nature reserve). But this is handled very well and conveniently via footbridges.
We enjoyed it so much that we booked our next stay for 2027 during our very first visit.
By the way, electric car drivers can charge their vehicles on-site. :)Automatiskt översatt.Inga campare har markerat det här omdömet som hjälpsamt ännu. Everything you need is right there. If you need anything else, just walk a few meters further and you’ll find a small store and a restaurant. We’ve been there four times and enjoy it every single time.NegativaThere's nothing negative we could mention. As always, relaxing and peaceful. This is our fourth time here, and we just feel right at home. The sites are very large, which is really nice and gives you a sense of “freedom.”Automatiskt översatt.Inga campare har markerat det här omdömet som hjälpsamt ännu. Vara den första!
- 5.0NBNadine B.augusti 2026PositivaSee comment!NegativaAbsolutely no downsides!!!An absolute natural paradise—we'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Our stay at this campground was simply perfect in every way. If you’re looking for nature, this is the place for you: Right behind the campground lies a gorgeous, idyllic landscape—an absolute dream for dog owners looking to take long walks.
You can tell at every turn just how much passion and attention... to detail has gone into this facility. Everything is spotless and exceptionally well-maintained. The highlights on-site:
Restroom facilities: Super clean, modern, and equipped with a convenient family bathroom.
Top-notch amenities: A fully equipped, top-notch camping kitchen and a lovingly tended herb garden where you’re welcome to help yourself to herbs for your own meals—a wonderful touch!
Variety of accommodations: If you don’t want to pitch a tent, the cozy construction trailers, cabins, and tiny houses offer great alternatives with real charm.
A huge thank you goes to the hosts, Manuela and Jonas: They’re incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to lend a hand whenever you need help. You feel welcome from the very first moment.
We had an absolutely amazing time. This definitely wasn’t our last visit—we highly recommend it!Automatiskt översatt.Inga campare har markerat det här omdömet som hjälpsamt ännu. The first time we rented a cabin, the second time a small trailer. The properties were well maintained and had great facilities. We really liked the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities.
The operators are two incredibly nice and courteous people. For us, this... is a campsite where you can feel completely at ease. We won't have been there for the last time. It's also not far to the sea (about 500 m), where you can enjoy wonderful sunsets in the evening.Automatiskt översatt.Inga campare har markerat det här omdömet som hjälpsamt ännu. Susan W.maj 2025Positiva- very nice and helpful staff/hosts - very clean sanitary facilities - Herb garden where you can pick your own herbs - old telephone box, which is equipped with loan books - close to the beach - beautiful surroundings - child-friendly - Animals are also welcome (not the rule as we have already discovered). There are also chickens and goats. - close to shopping facilitiesNegativaDisadvantages? I don't understand what is meant by this in relation to the Flüggerteich campsiteAgain and againI think the advantages say it all. We were there for a week in May and are looking forward to arriving tomorrow. We will then stay there for ten days. It's always nice and worth a vacation. The campsite is not big, but that makes the whole thing a bit more personal/familiar. The Krausen family are always... ready to help. Thank you very much! :-)
I have now always clicked "very good". Don't think it's an "AI rating". I am a real person who simply has nothing to complain about. But I think that everyone should make up their own mind. Have fun! :-)Automatiskt översatt.Inga campare har markerat det här omdömet som hjälpsamt ännu. Vara den första! - 5.0

The site is very well maintained, the operators are super nice, friendly and always ready to help. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The pitches were huge. There was plenty of room to sit in front of the awning. Also the way to... order bread rolls and book the washing machines, all doable via cell phone/online. That was a great thing.
There are also paths mowed through the reeds behind the pitch. Super walk for the four-legged friend, just great.

The site offers enough space to enjoy the peace and quiet and the view. Fortunately, there is no entertainment, but there are offers such as the Easter bonfire with bread and drinks for children and adults by the extremely committed, friendly couple who run the site. You can cycle around the island on good cycle paths (70km). The lighthouse can be reached on foot and the beach is just a few minutes away.
Many thanks to the Krausen family for their tips, helpfulness and, despite the busy season, always on the road with a smile.Automatiskt översatt.Inga campare har markerat det här omdömet som hjälpsamt ännu. Vara den första! - 5.0ABAlexander B.juni 2023PositivaSpacious pitches, lots of water taps, almost everything digital, very clean wash house, also ideal for camping with a dog, extensive run across fields. Bonus: no bouncy castle, but a very nice playground. Fresh bread rolls every morning.NegativaNo real disadvantage, but you have to like the nocturnal "songs" of the frogs or stuff something in your ears.Idyllic little campsiteYou can really unwind here. The pitches are generously sized and if you're lucky, you'll find one between the edge of the pitch and the pond. Everything is up to date and in really good condition. Showers are free, but limited to 5 minutes, although you can stop the "soaping time", which is enough. Bread... rolls can be ordered the day before and are ready for collection from the office in the morning. Mobile phone reception is modest, but the Wi-Fi is good and acceptable at one euro a day.
There are quite a few dogs on the site, but this doesn't cause any problems. There is a lovely circular route through fields and meadows.
The small pond is richly blessed with frogs, which give a formidable nocturnal concert. If you can't sleep at night, you'll just have to stuff something in your ears.
There is plenty for children to discover in the area and thankfully the obligatory bouncy castle has been dispensed with.
There are plenty of taps for water.
The wash houses are extremely clean and in good condition.
From here you can easily explore the island by bike or go to one of the many beaches.
We can recommend this place without reservation.Automatiskt översatt.Inga campare har markerat det här omdömet som hjälpsamt ännu.
