For us, short weekends in Ballum are like little vacations with great recreational value. Everything is just right: Linde and Klaas are simply great, the site is superb, the pitches are large. Supply and disposal... are very well organized, children and dog friendly and the price is right too. The proximity to Rømø rounds everything off. Even a dishwasher that is ready in 5 minutes.
So brilliant for Womo and tent campers.
The sanitary... facilities are also brilliant. There are family rooms with toilet, washbasin and shower. Everything is clean and tidy.
Bread roll service and a few groceries on site, otherwise you have to drive a bit to the shops.
The site was ideal for us, we had a camper van and the car and bikes.

The loudest noise was the cheerful chirping of the birds. We had a large pitch in an area fenced off by a high hedge with a total of 8 pitches. The pitch was very well maintained and the sanitary facilities were always in a clean condition.... The free use of the two dishwashers is a nice extra. We found the bread roll service with the option of placing an order online every day for the next day to be a very guest-oriented service. The friendly and always helpful campsite team made us feel welcome. The proximity to the island of Rømø with its large sandy beaches, but also walks on the dike along the Wadden Sea and through fields and forests contributed to a very relaxing stay. The only thing is that the shopping facilities nearby are very limited. The grocery store in Ballum seems to be permanently closed. There is a well-stocked thrift store about 15 km away in Bredebro. You don't get the feeling that the owner has been playing Tetris when dividing up the pitches. No problem playing badminton in front of the caravan. It is in the middle of nature with a wonderful view of the Wadden Sea. We particularly liked the fact that the site itself still looked very natural and not like a parking lot for campers. WLAN, no electricity flat rateAlternative to nearby islandsVery friendly welcome and free choice of seats. No problem in the low season. Here would be a better utilization if the autumn vacations were not calculated in the upper price. The electricity is not flat rate, a mini electricity meter must be connected upstream as an adapter. 0.47 € are due per kWh.... In addition a connection fee and.... which is not due on the first day, no daily 1,34€. The prices are typically structured in German and Danish in nested form to get the maximum out of them. A booking fee of €4.68 is also charged once. A pity, at least in the colder season an all-in pitch and person price without other fees would be attractive, even if electricity has to be paid separately. The pitches are relatively easy to reach if you have the trailer under control. There is not that much space in some bays (entrances). The size of the pitch itself is quite ok. Large vehicles are easier to maneuver on the right-hand side of the campsite. The sanitary area is combined and clearly marked. A family shower is available. The shower time is recorded and billed by chip card. Here it is recorded by chip 3 minutes for 0,13€. Waste water and water not on the pitch. Guests with an ASCI, ADAC or DCU discount card pay 20.00 euro per night. We start from the principle: The user pays. Paying for flat-rate electricity in the off-season costs us a lot of money. Nowadays the caravans... have underfloor heating and simply consume 20 kWh per day. Should we pay for that? The pitches are very spacious. From there we took a trip to Römö and visited the town of Ribe. The sanitary facilities were very clean and easy to use, no separation of male and female. There is a small living room, the kitchen area for washing up and cooking was large... and well equipped. Bread roll service was great. The pitches were absolutely flat, electricity and water directly at the site. The operators were very nice. Access conditions are a bit cramped for a 9 meter trailer. Bake Off breakfast is super nice. Bathrooms and toilets are modern and nice (Unisex). Kitchen is ok. Price level is a bit high. WiFi you have to pay for - it's cheap enough,... but like so many other campsites it doesn't work. It is ON-OFF constantly all the time.
