Positive ting
Schöner ruhiger Campingplatz
Negative ting

Positive ting
Large lot Great amenities Top-notch service
Negative ting
The outdoor kitchen sink is getting a bit old.
Very friendly staff, very large lots, perfect for families
Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of activities and options for families.
Large sites with the freedom to choose your own spot (which is helpful when it’s windy), and everything you need is right there. The restrooms are clean and tidy.
We’d love to come back and would definitely recommend it.

Positive ting
Der var ikke langt til handle muligheder. Og der var en hunde indhegning
Negative ting

Help
My wife and I were touring northern Europe in our motorhome and afternoon before we arrived at Ballum my wife broke a tooth. Linda, the manageress was so helpful in arranging a dentist for her. She even showed us on Google where to find them.

Positive ting
The site is spacious and well maintained. Price performance is right
Negative ting
WLAN is chargeable on the pitch. Not at the reception
If you've been there a good 50 times, it must be true
In short, we were in Ballum almost 50 times in the period from Whitsun 2018 to September 2025. For us, short weekends in Ballum are like little vacations with great recreational value. Everything is just right: Linde and Klaas are simply great, the site is superb, the pitches are large. Supply and disposal... are very well organized, children and dog friendly and the price is right too. The proximity to Rømø rounds everything off. In short, everything was perfect

Always beautiful
As every year, we had a few relaxing days. We like the family atmosphere and the tranquillity of the campsite. The operators are incredibly nice and uncomplicated. The bread delivery service also works perfectly with the help of the app. We are completely satisfied. See you next time

What more could anyone want apart from Ballum
We have been coming to Ballum since Linda and Claas took over the campsite and every time we feel the improvements and the efforts for us guests, we can't notice that we are missing anything, we love staying with you.

Wonderful vacation spot
Our first CP in Denmark. The facilities are excellent. Lounge, kitchen with very good equipment. Starting with the kettle, microwave, hotplates, oven, pots and pans and crockery. Everything is free to use.
Even a dishwasher that is ready in 5 minutes.
So brilliant for Womo and tent campers.
The sanitary... facilities are also brilliant. There are family rooms with toilet, washbasin and shower. Everything is clean and tidy.
Bread roll service and a few groceries on site, otherwise you have to drive a bit to the shops.
The site was ideal for us, we had a camper van and the car and bikes.
And the owners were super nice.

Positive ting
Friendly team, large pitch, quiet location, well-kept sanitary facilities
Negative ting
For us there was no
Pure relaxation
The campsite is located just outside the small town of Ballum. The loudest noise was the cheerful chirping of the birds. We had a large pitch in an area fenced off by a high hedge with a total of 8 pitches. The pitch was very well maintained and the sanitary facilities were always in a clean condition.... The free use of the two dishwashers is a nice extra. We found the bread roll service with the option of placing an order online every day for the next day to be a very guest-oriented service. The friendly and always helpful campsite team made us feel welcome. The proximity to the island of Rømø with its large sandy beaches, but also walks on the dike along the Wadden Sea and through fields and forests contributed to a very relaxing stay. The only thing is that the shopping facilities nearby are very limited. The grocery store in Ballum seems to be permanently closed. There is a well-stocked thrift store about 15 km away in Bredebro. But all in all, we had a very relaxing week here. We will be happy to come again.

Very relaxed place
This pitch impresses with its layout. You don't get the feeling that the owner has been playing Tetris when dividing up the pitches. No problem playing badminton in front of the caravan. It is in the middle of nature with a wonderful view of the Wadden Sea. We particularly liked the fact that the site itself still looked very natural and not like a parking lot for campers. A must for nature lovers.

Very well-kept campsite in completely quiet surroundings.
Large pitches and clean sanitary facilities, everything is very well organized despite Corona.
Good location for excursions to the offshore islands including Sylt.
And the owners are always friendly and helpful.

All highly recommended.

Positive ting
Good starting point for islands and sightseeing tours on the west coast
Negative ting
Pricing low season, no incl. WLAN, no electricity flat rate
Alternative to nearby islands
Very friendly welcome and free choice of seats. No problem in the low season. Here would be a better utilization if the autumn vacations were not calculated in the upper price. The electricity is not flat rate, a mini electricity meter must be connected upstream as an adapter. 0.47 € are due per kWh.... In addition a connection fee and.... which is not due on the first day, no daily 1,34€. The prices are typically structured in German and Danish in nested form to get the maximum out of them. A booking fee of €4.68 is also charged once. A pity, at least in the colder season an all-in pitch and person price without other fees would be attractive, even if electricity has to be paid separately. The pitches are relatively easy to reach if you have the trailer under control. There is not that much space in some bays (entrances). The size of the pitch itself is quite ok. Large vehicles are easier to maneuver on the right-hand side of the campsite. The sanitary area is combined and clearly marked. A family shower is available. The shower time is recorded and billed by chip card. Here it is recorded by chip 3 minutes for 0,13€. Waste water and water not on the pitch. Water points can be tapped in various areas.

Thank you for your review and visit to our campsite. So many people, so many opinions. Guests with an ASCI, ADAC or DCU discount card pay 20.00 euro per night. We start from the principle: The user pays. Paying for flat-rate electricity in the off-season costs us a lot of money. Nowadays the caravans... have underfloor heating and simply consume 20 kWh per day. Should we pay for that? The pitches are very spacious. If you want a larger pitch for a large caravan, take an XL pitch of 170 m².

Very nice, large pitches. Nice operator. Good location
Beautiful, quiet, friendly
This place was the first on our little round trip through Denmark. From there we took a trip to Römö and visited the town of Ribe. The sanitary facilities were very clean and easy to use, no separation of male and female. There is a small living room, the kitchen area for washing up and cooking was large... and well equipped. Bread roll service was great. The pitches were absolutely flat, electricity and water directly at the site. The operators were very nice. We will come back again.

Nice breakfast bread, large pitch.
Nice campsite.
Very friendly site hosts. Good information on arrival. Nice large pitches. Access conditions are a bit cramped for a 9 meter trailer. Bake Off breakfast is super nice. Bathrooms and toilets are modern and nice (Unisex). Kitchen is ok. Price level is a bit high. WiFi you have to pay for - it's cheap enough,... but like so many other campsites it doesn't work. It is ON-OFF constantly all the time. The campsite is large and there are the facilities that are needed without it oozing luxury (We were not looking for that either 😊) Good campsite that we would like to recommend.

Positive ting
friendly, clean, close to nature, bread rolls at the CP 😍😍😍😍
Negative ting
somewhat small entrance for train of 16.5 m 😉
Very friendly operator
Very nice quiet CP, sheltered from the wind, great starting point for exploring the islands and the nature reserve. Very friendly operators (since 12/2016) - multilingual (German, English, ...), unisex sanitary facilities - very clean and tidy, extra fenced area for the dogs, waste separation also very good and with translation. The islands of Mando and Röm are highly recommended (shell hunting).
