"Camping near Lucerne with great mountain views - TCS Camping Horw is a beautifully situated campsite directly on Lake Lucerne. From here you have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and can reach Lucerne in just a few minutes. The site is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are a little older but always clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and create a pleasant atmosphere. The direct access to the lake with bathing facilities right next to the campsite is particularly nice. The small bistro has the essentials and we appreciated the bread service

"Friendly place near Lucerne - We felt comfortable right from the reception and check-in. Noemi took the time to explain everything to us, including how to get to the city by bus. The perfect place for a trip to Lucerne and the nearby mountains.

"Stay at TCS Camping Horw Lucerne - On the road with camper, 7.50 meters + trailer with car. On arrival we were told that neither car nor trailer were allowed on the site. (We have been traveling through Switzerland for 5 weeks, it has never happened to us before! ) Therefore we booked a large premium pitch. We were told that this was on the website, we couldn't find it and neither could many other guests. The car + trailer must be parked in front of the campsite, an unguarded parking lot. We have a vintage car that we don't like to leave unguarded and far away. After much discussion, we were "accommodated" and were able to park the car on our pitch for an extra 10 francs per night. This is not a concession but pure business!!! We booked the most expensive pitch especially for this! If we had known this beforehand, we would never have chosen this campsite! We were offered to get our money back and look for another campsite, which is of course hopeless in high season! So we stayed! The manager Rebecca was very friendly and tried to put us at ease with a chat. The price/quality ratio is not right here at all! TCS should clearly inform its guests in advance on the website that cars, trailers etc. are not allowed on the site. This seems to be a general rule of TCS campsites which is not clearly visible when booking! Conclusion: we paid far too much for a premium pitch that we didn't need. The opening hours of the reception are also very customer-unfriendly! For us: never again TCS Camping! Our experience at TCS Camping Bönigen was even worse, where we were cheekily advised to stay in a 5-star hotel. Everything was very unprofessional and extremely customer-unfriendly and inflexible!!! "Great place - Beautifully situated place, ideal for transit, as it is also very well located in terms of transportation. Bus ticket (guest card) to Lucerne included in the overnight price.

"TCS Camping Luzern-Horw WIFI experience - The Wifi service did not work, we could not connect to the Internet. The reception staff did not spend a minute trying to help us to solve the connection problem. Very dissatisfied with the treatment received by the reception staff.

The 3* TCS Camping Lucerne-Horw is located in a quiet and idyllic spot on Lake Lucerne, a short distance from the north-south route of the A2 motorway near Lucerne. This makes it not only a perfect base from which to …explore central Switzerland, but it is also ideal for a stopover on your journey south. The view of the surrounding mountain landscape is breath-taking. Enjoy sunbathing in the adjacent lido or a refreshing dip in Lake Lucerne. A leisurely walk along the nature trail around the campsite is a relaxing way to leave everyday life behind. There is also much to discover and experience in the heart of central Switzerland: Take the world's steepest cogwheel railway to the top of the mountains. Take a ride on a nostalgic paddle steamer to the origin of the Swiss Confederation. Or enjoy culture and art in nearby Lucerne and stroll across the oldest wooden bridge in the world.
