But we were glad to have found such a nice campsite. Beautifully maintained site. The pitches are very large and spacious. You have a lot of privacy. The sanitary facilities were also really good. Completely enclosed bathrooms... with all the trimmings. The toilets were also each individually equipped with washbasin, soap, paper towels and disinfectant. Then we found the best, most comfortable and cozy kitchen ever. There are brushes, washing-up liquid, cloths etc. at every sink. Our pitch 136 was on a meadow with electricity and a view of the fjord and Roskilde😍you can go cycling or for a walk directly from the pitch. Nice playground, jumping pillow, kiosk/restaurant with ice cream, burgers, pizza, bread rolls in the morning. Good for swimming the water was quite clear, there are several jetties and a platform. One star deduction because the beach in front of the Cp is also public and therefore non-campers are also on the site. Someone had simply put a big thumbtack through the cushion of the seat!!! It went right through her. It's still with us now that we've left Roskilde and the square. I wanted to put up a note in English and Danish, but I forgot. I'm writing this so that other guests can be aware of what happened, and if they're still there, the ones who came up with it, maybe they can get some respect into their heads! (That is, if this is taken seriously by the site, which I have also written to.) If nothing else, other guests will be aware of it! We are completely traumatized by the disgusting thing that happened to our mother at your campsite. 14 days with good summer weather week 30-31 - which for us is the essential for good summer camping, so it was a more than annoying experience to check out!
Booking and payment was made back in February 2021 for summer vacation the same year which was canceled due to confirmed illness which... gave us a few weeks left for my mother. Therefore, I contacted Roskilde camping about the situation for the cancellation of vacation 2021 and who kindly suggested moving the booking to 2022 or refunding the amount paid. However, with the corona economy, they would prefer moving the booking to 2022 - which I accepted. Back to check-out 5/8. At the reception I was handled by an older lady, I judge from behavior that there is a manager or owner. I handed over the 2 cards for use for bath / toilet and stated numbers from the electricity meter. It was over 800, -kr - which I found expensive if we use gas for the refrigerator. When asked about the price, I was briefly informed that the price for camping had increased since our booking in 2021 - and that "everything goes up - and she would not discuss that - it is also in our conditions"
I paid with the comment that we had followed up 2-3 times on booking by email to be sure of a place for the holiday - and no rising price had been stated for our booking (where they had had our money for a year and a half !!!) - to which I just got a cheeky reply "you could have just asked about that" I did not answer but just left the reception and we drove home to Aalborg - with some practice after an otherwise excellent holiday. After returning home, I checked their website with price lists, rules and regulations and booking - where there is no mention of reservations for prices - so I have to say that we have been cheated. They mention 5 star conditions - and it is far from it in terms of lack of cleaning of shower/toilet conditions - which is more the even.
But again - again it was the weather, Roskilde city and all the friendly campers who pulled it all up and the maybe 500, - we live with.

The sanitary facilities are among the best we have ever found on campsites and the campsite kitchen is definitely the best we have ever seen. Good location and visually appealing pitch layout.
Not so nice:
1. many pitches are so uneven that there is hardly anything to be done with... wedges.
2. sea view is the exception rather than the rule. We can see the Roskildefjord between two rows of trees, but if the pitch in front of us is occupied, that's that.
We actually wanted to stay for several days and considered asking for another pitch on the first evening, but after looking around we abandoned this idea. In the end, we left the next morning.
Which might have been worth a try: To the west, there is a barely used area with an unobstructed sea view, but without electricity connections.
Conclusion: Good sanitary facilities alone are not everything. If the glasses slip off the table because the motorhome is so crooked, the fun stops.

Wide range of cultural activities.Great campsite with a view of RostkildeWe stayed at the site for a week with our caravan. It is highly recommended. You can be in Copenhagen in 30 minutes. Rostkilde is also well worth a visit. A beautiful town with flair. The surrounding area offers a lot of culture... The campsite has great wash houses and a very modern kitchen. - Mario H.Avgust 2019PozitivnoLocation, close to Copenhagen; great sanitary facilities and amenities; super friendly and helpful staffNegativnoPitches often with a natural slopeGreat place with lots on offer in the surrounding areaWe stayed here for 2 nights in the 2019 high season. The only drawback: the site is often very hilly and sloping, so you can't avoid wedging with the motorhome. But the site scores with everything else! The sanitary facilities are super modern, clean and comfortable - you practically have your own "private"... bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. The other facilities (kitchen, dishwashing station) were also really modern! Camping here is fun even in a tent ;-) The location is also great, although it is initially relatively remote from Roskilde. However, you can cycle into town. Or you can take the bus, which takes you directly from the campsite to the center in about 15 minutes for 48 DKR (approx. 6€ p.p. for a return trip). From there, you can take the train to Copenhagen in another 35 minutes (50 minutes in total from the campsite). Perfect for a day trip! The best way to do this is to use the City Pass Large (24 hours), which you can buy for 160 DKR per person from a machine in the station. We really enjoyed our stay here and can recommend the campsite without reservation!Аутоматски преведено.

Brand new kitchen facilities and bathrooms that are top notch. The site is for both permanent and vacation campers (both caravans, tents and motorhomes) and is a good starting... point for sightseeing in both Roskilde and the surrounding area and not least Copenhagen. I am a permanent resident at the site and use it as our holiday home. Roskilde Fjord should be really good if you are into windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. Highly recommended.Аутоматски преведено.
