The site was quite relaxed a few years ago, but is now regularly overcrowded and people stand on each other's feet in the guest area - a shame. It has therefore become difficult to find peace and relaxation.

The sanitary facilities have been partially renovated. They were always clean.
There are plenty of cycle tours in the surrounding area. The district town of Nienburg is not far away. We can absolutely recommend this site. Also the snack bar. When you arrive, you look for your reserved pitch and set up. There are three pitch areas. The tent meadow is a little off the beaten track and is probably intended... more for 1-2 person tents. Otherwise, there are some pitches directly on the Weser and a large camper area on the meadow. Sufficient supply and disposal facilities are available. A very well-kept site, with many permanent campers. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately no longer up to date. You can cycle across the fields to the town of Nienburg in 15 minutes.
The price-performance ratio is absolutely ok.

The site is located directly on the Weser cycle path and invites you to go on extensive bike tours. Due to the corona protection measures, the sanitary facilities were closed, so no rating can be given. The pitches are of a sufficient size. The site managers are friendly... and helpful. Everyone is on first-name terms and trust is very important on this site. If you leave when the operators are away, you simply put the pitch fee in an envelope in a letterbox. - Sabine S.Septembar 2019PozitivnoVery quiet, no cars, except for rude fellow guests who don't drive on the bottom at times when you shouldn't (from 10 pm), but that's not the operator's fault. Pure nature, my angler loves it. And where else can you get that for the price?NegativnoThe cleaning lady washes her cleaning cloths in the washing machine. Your own laundry smells the same, what a shame... The cleaning takes place daily in the shower (and also WC) but unfortunately there are always users who leave a real mess behind. I strongly advise not to accept the English groups with 20 or more people, riots and dirt everywhere. It was good that we left after 24 hours. It was impossible to sleep at night as there was no control and no emergency service for rioters (apart from the police), which was too extreme for us. But it was nice and we would love to come back...Small and beautifulA week's rest at a mega price. We went fishing and explored Nienburg and the surrounding area.
The restaurant nearby was great. We are going back in 2021, that says it all or.
Not so good was that the sanitary facilities/showers were so dirty from guests in the course of 24 hours. The operator can't... help that, but you should take shower slippers with you if you are not the first one in the morning. I found it difficult to find someone to talk to on the day of arrival, as there is no real office that is staffed. Someone is running around somewhere :-).
WLAN worked perfectly and free of charge. Watching movies was great without a SAT system.
If you are afraid of mice (they live on the hedges) you should set up camp in the middle of the guest meadow, we had fun with them and plenty of photos adorn our adventure vacation in the photo album with them. Definitely recommendable, because I think every place has its little flaws and I can live with those here.
The bird life is something special there and the fish also come right up to the jetty. Nature in the Weser area with lots of peace and relaxation. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, fog on the water in the morning, if that's what you're looking for, this is the place to be... Boats rarely pass by. The nearby weir is also worth a visit, as is the historic Drakenburg Gate. And if you've never seen groups of wild geese by the hundreds, you can marvel at them in the meadows here.
