"Interim report - Why the interim report. I had health problems after about a week. At the reception, Sofie, the manager, took care of it immediately. She phoned the clinic and I received the appropriate medical treatment in the emergency room. Once back at the campsite, Sofie asked about my condition at regular intervals. All in all, she was very attentive and helpful. A big THANK YOU for that. Our vacation will hopefully continue until 28.07.2022 without further complications. And now one more comment. The Englishman who complained about the campsite and the German campers is welcome to go to another campsite next time, I can do without him and probably the others too.

"Quiet but not recommended - We were here with 2 children. Both were downright disgusted by the sanitary facilities. However, these are basically usable, but do not invite you to linger. There is no water connection on the pitch. The WiFi is only very stable near the reception. There is no kitchen. It is better to use the entrance to the campsite with a guide. When campers meet, someone has to drive backwards and that is almost impossible. The beach is too far away. The site itself is actually ok. You always have to go to the sanitary facilities to get water. You can only wash up there with a bowl as there are no plugs. The site is fairly quiet due to the small number of guests.

"Convincing - A place without any real weaknesses. The management is calm, friendly, committed and helpful. The pool, whirlpools, tennis, table tennis, boccia and badminton are free of charge, including rental equipment (rackets, balls). The restaurant is tidy, if not particularly good. The most annoying thing is the mosquitoes that are out and about from 7pm to 9pm. The connection to the cycle path around Lake Balaton is great. It takes you to most places without coming into contact with "normal" traffic.

"Perfect stay - Very friendly staff and overall very well maintained facility. WLAN works perfectly throughout the site but is throttled every 24 hours after a certain volume is reached. Restaurant on site is inadequate but that doesn't matter there are plenty of options within walking distance.

"Quiet campsite near the Balaton - We stayed at the campsite for 2 days in June. Very friendly staff. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. We felt right at home with our three dogs.

"Now the Balaton with a dog is finally ticked off for us - After visiting the 3rd campsite on Lake Balaton yesterday and asking about bathing facilities for the dog, the dog is also allowed here for a fee, but is not allowed in the water or on the lake. So after an extensive round trip around Lake Balaton, we leave without having achieved anything and head back to Austria. Lake Balaton with a dog is neither a reality nor customer-friendly. We can only urge dog owners to ask very carefully whether the dog is really allowed in or out of the water. We left 3 places on Lake Balaton and Hungary today without having achieved anything and will certainly not be coming back.

Wellness Park Campsite is situated in Gyenesdiás, on the north shore of Lake Balaton, in the neighbourhood of the famous towns Hévíz and Keszthely. The area has a rich cultural and natural heritage to discover. Moreover, our campsite is very …popular amongst cyclists, since it is directly connected to the Balaton bicycle path. Our eighty-square meter sites are all equipped with electricity. Newly built shower and toilet facilities, different wellness and spa opportunities contribute to make your stay more pleasant. Our bar is a convenient place to enjoy a refreshing drink after biking, hiking or playing tennis. Wellness Park is pet-friendly, pets can be accommodated for an additional price. We provide our services in English, German and Hungarian. We are a match for any camp-sites of the country - not only in standard but also in price: One eighty-square meter site for two adults with caravan and electricity: 21 EUR (in the off-season) One eighty-square meter site for two adults with caravan and electricity: 25 EUR (in the high season) The price includes: - two adults’ daily rent, the fee of one car / camper / caravan - electricity (without air-conditioner) - hot and cold running water - access to our open-air swimming pool, bubble bath, Finnish light therapy sauna - access to the tennis court, petanque court, table tennis table - free WIFI Off-season: 15 March – 31st May 1st September – 1st November High season: 1st June – 31st August Wellness Park Campsite 8360 Gyenesdiás, Napfény utca 5. Fly Balaton Airport:17km, Highway (M7): 15km, Keszthely: 5km, Hévíz: 13 km, Budapest: 200 km, Beach: 900 m, Railway station: 900 m, Bus stop: 400 m From Linz/Vienna: You turn off the Motorway A1 towards Eisenstadt on the Motor-road A3 and …you cross the border in Sopron (Klingenbach). There is a highway leading through Ukk and Sümeg to Balatonederics (lake Balaton). If you take Road 71 westwards you can reach Keszthely within a short time. As you reach Gyenesdiás, by the board „dentist” please turn left into the Napfény street. From Graz: If you turn off the Motor way A2 towards Fürstenfeld you can cross the border in Heiligenkreuz (Rábafüzes). Lake Balaton from here is about 1oo kms. Through Körmend and Zalaegerszeg on the Highway 76 the journey by car takes maximum one and a half hour. Drive through Keszthely and Gyenesdiás and as you reach the „Torony csárda”, turn right into the direction of Balaton and you are already in the Napfény street.
