"A beautiful courtyard—unfortunately, with a disappointing ending - Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful farm. We were truly impressed by the location, the view, and the lovingly designed grounds. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the play barn and hot tub are great extras, especially when traveling with children. You can tell that a lot of heart and hard work has gone into this place. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by a situation with the hostess that was very unpleasant for us. After we had asked in advance if we could use the fire pit and were told we could, a lengthy conversation ensued the next day in which we were accused, among other things, of being inconsiderate, selfish, and ungrateful. It wasn’t the request itself that was the problem for us—we would have followed clear rules at any time—but rather the way it was communicated. It’s a shame, because precisely because we liked the farm and the grounds so much, we would have preferred a different approach. Nevertheless, we’d like to give credit where it’s due: the place itself is truly beautiful, and you can tell how much love has gone into it.

"A Heartwarming, Family-Friendly Camping Vacation in the Salzburg Region - We spent two and a half weeks as a family camping at this campground and had an absolutely wonderful time. We’d especially like to highlight the exceptionally warm, family-like atmosphere. When we needed help during a stormy, severe weather situation, we received immediate, warm, and unpretentious assistance. The campground’s manageable size fosters a real sense of community. People help one another, the children quickly find playmates, and they can play freely in a safe environment. The family that runs the campground is exceptionally friendly and dedicated. Our son was allowed to help out in the barn in the mornings and learned a lot in the process. They also helped us out effortlessly whenever we needed suggestions for day trips or restaurant reservations. The offerings for families and children are impressive: a play barn, animals, pizza-grilling facilities, an ice cream stand, a beverage fridge, and many other thoughtful touches ensure that boredom never sets in. For us, the location was ideal. By car, you can quickly reach numerous attractions in the Salzburg region and make the most of the benefits of the Salzburg Land Card. At the same time, the campground offers peace and quiet, nature, and a phenomenal view of the mountain landscape. Clean restroom facilities are always particularly important to us, and our expectations were fully met in this regard as well. We felt completely at home. There’s even one little thing we still miss now that we’re back home: the excellent fresh mountain water that comes straight from the tap there. For families who appreciate nature, hospitality, and a personal atmosphere, we can wholeheartedly recommend this campground. We’d love to come back.

"A really nice impromptu visit - A beautifully landscaped, quiet, and clean campground. Nice, clean kitchen and restroom facilities. An amazing barn playground for kids. Great play areas. Stunning views. So peaceful. All in all, a fantastic campground with very friendly owners.

"A Relaxing Family Getaway - The resort offers everything a family with young children could need. Kids can play all day long—whether with pedal cars, bicycles, or in the play barn; on the trampoline, in the pool, in the ball pit, or playing air hockey. For kids up to age 14 (rough estimate), there’s something for everyone. It’s also always nice to feed the animals in the morning. This gives parents some wonderful quiet time—moments when they can simply watch their children, since everything is located on a very manageable grounds and the whole place exudes a sense of calm. For parents with children, it’s a great place for a vacation in the mountains! We’ve been there three times now.

"Great campground for kids! - This campground, located on the mountain, is owned by a lovely family who put their heart and soul into it. There is an extra refrigerator and freezer. There are plenty of activities for kids. Since it's not very big, you can keep a close eye on your kids.

Profil

Our Oberhasenberghof mountain and children's farm with suckler cows at 1,150 m above sea level in Taxenbach, at the entrance to the Rauris Valley, in the Austrian Alps, offers magnificent panoramic views of the Salzach Valley. We are close to …the Grossglockner in the Hohe Tauern National Park. We offer four holiday apartments, a small wooden chalet Heidi Hut, and our campsite with 15 spacious pitches (10 x 10 m). As a children's farm, we have everything on site, from toddler equipment to go-karts for children and teenagers. When the weather's nice, the swimming pool, playground with trampoline, and many children's vehicles are popular. The children and adults ;-) like our play barn with a hay play area, air hockey, table football, table tennis, billiards, and a ball pit for the little ones. The whirlpool in the pavilion invites you to chill in the warm water (included in the price!). The sauna in the new building is available for an additional charge and requires advance reservation! The campsite sanitary facilities, newly built in 2025, next to the play barn offer 4 toilets, 4 showers and 4 sinks for washing up. Two additional showers and a toilet are available in the new building. The completely renovated holiday apartments are located in the two residential buildings (farmhouse and new building). The wooden chalet, the Heidihütte, is comparable to a mobile home. Small, but warm and dry. Some hikes lead from our farm into the mountains, for example, to the Rieser Aste (approx. 1 hour walk), Großglocknerblick (1.5 hours), Hochkönigblick (2 hours), or Hundstein (4 - 4.5 hours walk). Many other hikes and excursion destinations, such as gorges, caves, adventure rafting, gold panning, etc., are plentiful around Taxenbach. In summer, our campsite is open from the beginning of June to mid-October. Our campsite is closed in winter.
