Very many permanent campers, few places for travelers.
Few places for campers
It was difficult to find a campsite near Novara, so this campsite was just right for us. We received a friendly welcome and had the choice of campsite. Unfortunately not near the lake.

lies in no man's land. Turin is too far away to use it as a base. Modest standard.
Far off the beaten track
September 2014:\_We were looking for a place to spend the night and found what we were looking for at Lago di Viverone. The site is dominated by permanent campers or huts and permanently installed caravans that can be rented. There is little space for individual tourists and it is probably very full... in the season. In the off-season, we were almost alone and an old couple made the reception. There is a small store where you can buy bread rolls in the morning as well as cheese, sausage and milk. Otherwise the shelves are pretty empty (which is probably logical given the frequency). The sanitary facilities are simple but clean. Hot water is available everywhere. There is a pizzeria nearby. On a 5-point scale, we gave the pizza a 3. The price-performance ratio was definitely right. Euro 21 for camper van, 2 people and electricity.
