Welcome to AbbyVille In our orchard we offer an original and comfortable accommodation, surrounded by true Azorean nature. You will stay in a spacious vintage cotton tent and sleep in a bed with a real mattress. The cosy camp kitchen, …fire place, showers and toilet are shared. Our place is full of with natural details and a big variety of plants, trees, herbs and vergetables. Our garden in Biscoitos is near the famous natural swimming pools (5 minute ride), only 100 meters away from the wine museum and some of the best walking trails of the island start within a 10 minute drive. Our garden is your garden. Facilities In our vegetable garden with a view over our chestnut forest you find simply, but completely equipped bungalow style tents. Our spacious cotton shelters are located in a manner that they have shade at the end of the day, a welcome luxury in the hot summer months. For our guests the experience to cook in the open camp kitchen with a view over the garden is one of the highlights of their stay. In the social heart of our camp you also find the shower facilities and fire place. You will find a dry compost toilet in a comfortable distance of the tent. Please note that your tent are in the basic for 2 people. For an extra guest we can add an air mattress. We also have a baby crib available. Please send us an message with your requirements and we will make the best for your stay! Our garden The land of Abbyville is situated in the traditional wine area of Biscoitos, with characteristic stone walls that mark the small plots. We have a little forest of chestnuts, and figs, different types of citrus fruit, plum, pear and apple. Everything grows in a small scale and you won’t find a straight line on this farm. We are restoring the fruit farm and are experimenting with several species like passion fruit, guava and melon pear. You can enjoy the entire garden, walk everywhere and find shady places during the day. When we have harvest from our vegetable garden or eggs from our feathered friends we are happy to share them. Also you can find herbs and plants to make your own tea. Around AbbyVille - Natural swimming pools, 5 minute drive Most people would advise you to rent a car on this island, but being in AbbyVille you can also have a great time without one. The beach and museum are on walking distance and down the street there stops a bus that takes you to the cities of Angra do Heroísmo or Praia de Victoria and taxies are still affordable ( € 20,- to cross the island or airport transfer). Furthermore hitch hiking is definitely an option if you feel adventurous.
