On the last day of our beautiful trip through Norway, we stayed at the Viubråtan Feriesenter/camping in Harestua. What a disappointment!! :-s This camping site really needs maintenance and looks very old-fashioned. In proportion to its state, the prices for the cabins are way to high in comparison with... other Norwegian campings where we stayed during our trip. Upon our arrival, the owner first "forgot" our reservation and said that all cabins were fully booked. After a while, she proposed to clean up an unused cabin for us. 2,5 (!) hours later, we could enter the cabin… The cabin itself looked cleaned as far as possible, but the mattresses were really stinking of sweat and cigarette smoke, really disgusting! The cabin smelled not good either. But, what was most disappointing to us, was the total lack of hygiene! We did not use the douches because they were really dirty. The washing bowls in the sanitary were awful too, with make-up and toothpaste everywhere. Not even talking about the shared kitchen, where we actually ran away because we found dog hairs all over the sink… We were very pleased about all other Norwegian campings we found on our way, but this camping we would really not recommend to anyone. We spoke to the owner in order to get her aware of the problems, but she found it quite "normal". Well, we certainly did not!
