The location is really great and with the Ritten Card you can use all public transportation and the cable car to the Rittner Horn.

Very small pitches, far too expensive
Small pitches and very expensive
The pitch sizes are purely imaginary and do not come close to reflecting the actual size. Our caravan (2.30m wide) plus awning (2.60m wide) just about fit on the pitch. My complaint was only laughed at, because the pitch is supposedly 8*10m. We paid over €80 for our pitch with two people plus dog without electricity and tourist tax. I actually expect more for this price!

Ecxlusive location, but far too expensive
Exclusive location, which must also be paid for. 2 adults, 2 dogs, electricity, 103€. That's quite a lot, although some of the pitches are very sloping. Clearly too expensive for me. There are much cheaper places with better pitches. The whole site is very natural. Very narrow driveways.

- Perfect location close to the city of Bolzano via a beautiful winding road through the vineyards, but still in a quiet natural setting right next to the forest - Numerous possibilities for activities - Not yet relevant for us but numerous options for children - Unchlorinated bio pool and sauna - Insanely clean - Great dining options - both delicious pizzerias and fine dining during the day and in the evening - I could go on writing forever....

The doors to the showers and toilets understandably work with a door card that you forget in the camper from time to time. But more of a personal problem :)
Great camping vacation on the Schartneralm
I spent 1.5 weeks at the Schartneralm with my partner in our camper van at the beginning of June and we really enjoyed our stay immensely.

The bread roll service (yes, you can order fresh warm bread rolls in the morning :)))))) greeted us warmly every morning, the check-in went smoothly, the information... at reception about the Schartneralm itself and also about possible activities was well prepared and comprehensive.

We particularly enjoyed the BioPool with mountain views and sauna to wind down after e-bike tours with rented bikes.

The culinary offer with bistro, pizzeria and a chic restaurant offers everything you need and the service was always fast and very friendly:)

All in all, a great vacation and we would love to come back!!!

The advantages are numerous: from the ski/bike depot, to the central location, to the high-quality sanitary facilities, to the ideal location and starting point for hikes, to the many highlights in the immediate vicinity such as the Ritten Arena, the earth pyramids, the narrow-gauge railroad, the quiet location, the small family campsite, the outdoor Finnish sauna, the numerous gastronomic refreshment stops in and around the campsite and much much more...

Feel-good place in the heart of South Tyrol
We only discovered the Schartner Alm by chance when we were passing through, but it is a special place that we will definitely return to

what a great place above Botzen.
quiet, very high-quality equipment (everything has been thought of), well maintained
super pizzaria and top restaurant.
Hiking trails at the campsite, great view of the Dolomites
