Great place for excursions in the Harz Mountains
The site is in a really great location for excursions in the Harz Mountains. A bus stop for the line to Goslar and Hahnenklee stops right in front of the barrier and the trips are free of charge thanks to the Hatix Card.
If you want to spend all your time on the site itself, the adjacent main road and... the few opportunities for children may be annoying, but if you plan to go on excursions in the Harz Mountains, it's not a problem. At night, the main road was definitely not a nuisance.

The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was great despite good occupancy at Easter, but of course it also depends very much on the behavior of the other campers. Apart from a few exceptions - for which the operator is not responsible - we were very pleased with the cleanliness.
The shower cubicles are a bit cramped, but the hot water is always available.

The staff are very friendly and the arrival through the barrier with prior reservation works perfectly.

The pitches themselves are half grass and half gravel. This is really great, especially in rainy weather, as you can set up awnings over the gravel part, which doesn't get soggy and stays quite dry.

We will definitely return to this site on our future trips to the Harz Mountains. Price and performance definitely match.

The fact that you now pay extra for electricity at most campsites is probably the norm. This is also the case here, although the cost of €0.80 per kWh is still within an acceptable range.

We would have liked a charging station for e-cars on the pitch, but perhaps that will happen again.

Overall a very well-kept and well-equipped campsite. Playground is also very nice. Clean, tidy and well maintained.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this site. From the reservation to the check-in to the actual camping experience, there is nothing to complain about. Great sanitary facilities, super clean, great infrastructure on the pitch itself. We would love to come back !!!

Very neat, well kept campsite, beautiful and conveniently located about 2 km from the beautiful town of Goslar. Spacious pitches, excellent sanitary facilities, friendly staff, bread service, restaurant where you can eat well, and all at acceptable prices. Adjacent road may cause some nuisance to the pitches on that side during the day.

I have been on vacation in tents and campsites in Europe for 50 years. But I have never experienced such an unfriendly female person at reception as I did today on 05.08.2024 around 12 noon. This woman does not belong in a registration office. She should be cleaning the toilets to learn decency and respect... for older people. Since when do you address older people as 'YOU' without knowing them? When I asked her to give us a brochure of the place (lay next to
her) I was bombarded with nasty remarks.
Then we left the room. This person ran after us with insulting words. Luckily she didn't smash our car window.
Never again in this place
Fortunately, there are many others with nice staff.

We (2 adults and a dog) would love to come back.

This campsite stands out due to its excellent location. It's easy to travel in all directions from here - both by car and by bike.

The site looks very tidy and spacious, even when fully booked.

The number of sanitary facilities is sufficient and were... always clean. The standard here is also modern.

My personal highlight was the chemical toilet cleaning machine. I had never seen anything like it before and had to try it out straight away.
The price, including filling, was absolutely justified.

I definitely recommend going out for an evening meal in the restaurant on the square. If you want to enjoy good local cuisine, this is the place for you. But: make sure you book the day before or expect a late dinner. It was actually always full here, partly because many guests from the region came to eat.

The noise level during feeding times at the animal shelter, which was located directly across the street, was not so nice. You should also not forget: You are right next to a busy country road that motorcyclists also love above all else.

Nevertheless, we look forward to stopping here again sometime and exploring the rest of the Harz region.

Perfect short vacation
Campsite in an ideal location. Super friendly operators and staff. Sanitary facilities were clean at all times and were constantly checked. Good restaurant on site with self-service. Price-performance ratio was very good. Bread roll service was great. For us there were no points of criticism. Apparently... the site is used by many campers passing through with a 2-3 day stay. So there is always something going on. Perfect hiking and biking routes. The Sternberg Alm is recommended here. Good footpath and cycle path to Goslar.

Beautiful campsite
With these facilities, the campsite is one of the top sites in the Harz Mountains. The bread roll service is simply brilliant and the rolls were always fresh and not "soggy". The operators and staff were always helpful and very friendly to us. You can also eat well in the food barn and the daily selection... of cakes was delicious and reasonably priced. Due to the high number of short-term campers, it is difficult to socialize as a camper there, which is better and easier on other top sites in Germany. Perhaps events with a joint barbecue evening etc. could make a difference here. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

A lot of work has been invested in the entire facility. A nice children's playground, a large sanitary building with plenty of showers and toilets. If you like, you can eat in the "Futterscheune". Good bus connection to Goslar.

Many campers from Holland and Denmark use the site as a stopover, so it's always busy... Right next to the place runs the main road, a popular biker track, noise permanently, the shower house is closed from 22.00 to 7.00 and still not cleaned in the morning.
If you like it tight and loud, this is the place for you....
We did not feel comfortable. The constant noise, the impersonal atmosphere and the cramped pitches in the motorhome port were not good. The electronic locking and unlocking of the shower house from 22.00 to 07.00 is reminiscent of a prison. I like to get up early and have to wait to get into an unclean shower block. The toilets are cleaned at peak times in the morning... We won't be back.

A bit noisy during the day, you get used to it (traffic on the main road), bread rolls a bit soggy, wifi sometimes a bit unstable, not suitable for streaming. Water only at the sanitary building.
Absolutely recommendable
You really feel at home here. A modern booking system simplifies check-in, wide paths lead to the pitches. You should have a wedge with you here, as some are a little sloping. The caravan or camper van is parked on gravel, with the lawn in front of the door.
The main road is clearly audible during the... day, but it is extremely quiet in the evening and at night. But you soon get used to it. The sanitary facilities are top! Super adjustable showers, everything invlusive. It was always absolutely clean, including the toilets. The operators always have an open ear and are very friendly. The restaurant offers handmade dishes with products from the region. We were there every day it was open and were always delighted. By the way: the red cabbage was sensational!
There is an automatic cleaning station from Camping Butler at the campsite. This box is the first one I've tried that makes the container absolutely clean! Highly recommended.
So: this campsite is on my bucket list and it certainly won't be the last time I've been here.

The campsite is highly recommended.
The staff are always friendly. Everyone can find something to suit their taste in the food store.

The good bus connection to Goslar should be emphasized.

This site is very well maintained. The sanitary facilities were always clean.
It is a good starting point for exploring the surrounding area. Nearby Goslar offers its guests a great backdrop. The same applies to other towns such as Bad Harzburg, Wernigerode etc.

Very friendly and nice service right from the booking!!!! If you want to hike, this is the right place for you! Many tours can be started directly from the campsite.
The site is super clean and well laid out! The restaurant is highly recommended and thanks to the chef!!!! Finally a chef who understands good German cuisine!!!!!

The site offers a good starting point for Goslar and the southern Harz. The service at check-in and check-out was smooth. The range of home-baked cakes and the bread roll order was very good.
The site lighting is not sufficient if you are standing on a pitch behind the sanitary building in the dark and... want to go to the front.
The sanitary building is modern and pleasant. However, the shower cubicles could definitely be more spacious.
The cleaning time of the toilets at around 9.30 in the morning was incomprehensible.
The driving noise from the main road passing by is a bit annoying.
