"Beautiful campsite directly on the Saalach - Beautiful campsite in a beautiful location. Very large XXL pitches. One part of the pitch is gravel, one part is meadow, you should place your motorhome/caravan with awning on the gravelled area of the pitch with the door facing the meadow, this is also logical. We don't understand why some people are complaining here. When you arrive, you are advised not to walk across other people's pitches, and this is also stated again on the pitch map that everyone is given. For us, this is also a matter of course. Unfortunately, people still walk over other pitches, sometimes even cycling over them. There is also an extra area for campers with dogs, this is located at the exit of the campsite in the direction of Saalach, but dog owners still walk their dogs in the dog-free area and let their dogs do their business on the pitches. But the campsite operator is not responsible for any of this, it is the fault of the inconsiderate guests. There is also an area where only campers without children are accommodated. The XXL family bathrooms live up to their name, they are really spacious and beautiful. In the room with the sinks you have a beautiful view of the mountains, unfortunately no window can be opened here and the sun heats up the room in summer. In the months of July and August you get the Saalachtal guest card. This entitles you to a number of free admissions and rides. The pitch price for the XXL pitches is therefore reasonable. My husband even received a small gift from the campsite for his milestone birthday, something we had never experienced before. The restaurant has an upmarket price range, but it also offers high-quality food. There are also other restaurants within walking distance in St. Martin, e.g. d'Henasteig`n is a good and inexpensive restaurant that can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. The camping store is overpriced.

"Summer vacation 2025 - We felt very comfortable in spite of the rather poor weather. The family bathrooms are some of the best we have ever seen and clean at all times. The large and spacious plots offer good privacy at all times and lead to a lot of peace and quiet at night. The lack of a midday rest is therefore not a problem at all. Unfortunately, there are always people who can't read. The camperclean was also used during the night rest, even at 01.00. The campsite could remedy this by means of a closing time in the machine (as seen on other campsites). But the main problem is the people who use it despite the sign. The pizzas from the campsite's own service were of excellent quality both in the restaurant and as a takeaway. The mini market covers everything you need, even if you forget something at home. The staff were always friendly. We would love to come back and can only recommend the campsite.

"Great, large pitches in beautiful surroundings - The pitches are large and very well maintained with water and electricity connections on site as well as waste water. Ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours.

Here you can experience a camping holiday with plenty of space and magnificent views. Camping Grubhof in the Salzburg region is a quiet campsite on the banks of the Saalach river, which impresses with its dreamlike location and spaciousness. The wide range of different pitches and rental accommodation – from XXL pitches, to XXL tent meadows, camping huts, an Alpine village with rustic Alpine huts, to rooms at Grubhof – offers the perfect holiday home for unforgettable holidays in Austria at any time of year. Pitches are equipped with electricity, water and sewage connections (most also have a gas connection in winter). When choosing camping accommodation, we recommend that families consider our six camping cottages as a possible addition to their caravan or tent space, in addition to our great XXL pitches. There are also three Alpine huts in the Alpine village at Grubhof for a rustic holiday in the Salzburg region. Above all, a successful camping holiday for families and children includes a child-friendly range of indoor and outdoor activities and plenty of things to do and see for the whole family. You will find children's playrooms in the main building of the campsite, a youth room with table tennis, table football, family showers in the sanitary facilities, baby baths and nappy-changing rooms. We don't offer round-the-clock entertainment, but see our main focus as opening up the holiday environment and the wide range of sports and leisure activities to you. At our campsite with sauna and wellness, you can enjoy the soothing warmth of our sauna landscape. Unwind in the saunas, steam bath and heat cabins while camping with sauna pleasure. Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash at all times on the entire campsite!
