Andrea R.september 2023PozitivnoOK for an overnight stayNegativnoAccording to the staff you have to book 2 days in advance. This is also stated on the homepage. We followed the camping guide. No one is there after 7pm. You have 2 phone numbers you can call. We were there at 19:15 !!! We called and were first told that it was closing time !!!!! And we should have booked two days in advance !!! We were supposed to drive on (30km to the next campsite) but then they graciously left us on the site gelassen☹️. But we were told to be at reception the next morning at 9am. !!!! Garbage fees are charged with 2,50€ although we had no garbage. All in all ...... we will definitely not be going back here !!!!! But .... the place is nice and the toilets and showers are ok (according to the age)!Very unfriendly!We will definitely not be going here again !!!!

- Norbert C.avgust 2018Franconian nightmareIdyll by the stream! Yes here you can switch off, no wrong, here you have to switch off. There is no cell phone network (sometimes only D1 very weak), no WLAN and also no telephone booth in the whole place. The registration desk is only staffed in the morning at 09:00 and in the evening at 19:00. There... is no kiosk on the site and no store in the village. There is only one bakery left, but it has delicious things. We were shocked when the first train passed us about 30 meters away. The campsite is right next to the railroad line. Freight and passenger trains run day and night. The church clock service, which tells you the time of the trains at night, doesn't really help either. If you have a dog with you, you will be told to only walk it outside the square, regardless of whether you have waste bags or not. However, you still have to pay for your four-legged friend, as it is breathing the campsite air. There is no possibility to drive over to dispose of waste water. Emptying the camping toilet is also not really exciting. You have to remove a grimy cover from the bottom inlet and then you will see a small 10 x 10 cm sieve where you can empty your container. Just no paper scraps or anything else, because then only your finger will help. The play equipment and benches on the pitch are very old. The TÜV would probably have problems with them. There are also no fire extinguishers on the site, only 2 on the group campsites because of the campfires. It's dark at night and you can't find the washrooms without a flashlight. No waste garbage cans on the site, only one garbage can in front of the registration with opening hours? It can also be expensive when visitors come. You then have to pay €4.00 per person. If you like it that way, you have a nice place.Samodejno prevedeno.

The campsite is very well maintained and invites you to feel at home, with an adjacent swimming pool, which we enjoyed visiting in these hot temperatures. Ski lift!NegativnoRailroad line!Rustic and well-kept, ideal for groups!We liked it last year, so have just booked again for this summer. I can't really understand the previous reviews. Cleanliness and friendliness were a given for us (August 2015), the railroad line only bothered us a little as there were hardly any trains at night and we were always on the move during... the day. Also that the place has no kiosk probably only bothers people who want to have as little movement as possible on their vacation :-) In the village (approx. 400m) you will find a bakery, grocery store, butcher and restaurants. Beautiful climbing possibilities in the surrounding area. Ski lift in the immediate vicinity. Free adjacent outdoor pool for campers. Conclusion: Rustic but well-kept site, ideal for groups, active vacationers and the young at heart. Not for luxury campers!Samodejno prevedeno.

- Langer A.oktober 2014PozitivnoSimple, good value, clean sanitary facilities, location ideal for via ferrata, climbing, Therme Hersbruck, etc..NegativnoTrain journeys, although infrequent, are a little annoying for sensitive early sleepers until around 9:30 pm.Beautiful and inexpensive tent meadow with campfire siteWe were there with a 10-person youth group and spent 2 days on the camping meadow. The site with its stream/fire pit/sitting and play area was ideal for us. The price of the overnight stay was reasonable and appropriate to the standard. Mrs. and Mr. Maul were very friendly, the entire tent area was mowed... again for us, despite the late date in the year (October). The showers worked with shower tokens, which were okay in terms of price and, above all, finally a place where the duration and heat of the water was sufficient for showering. The nearby train tracks were a bit annoying for sensitive early sleepers, but only for them.Samodejno prevedeno.

- Jacky R.junij 2011Unfriendly owners -> no matter what you're immediately told off and the word "sorry" never comes up. In my opinion, the campsite deserves a MAXIMUM of 1 star, that's the biggest of feelings. In my opinion, the prices are also too high for the atmosphere and the leisure facilities. Overall verdict: okay for short breaks but not good for long-term campers as the treatment is too unfriendly.Samodejno prevedeno.
- Hans L.junij 2010The site is cut through by a busy railroad line (loud diesel traffic!). Front sanitary facilities: Shaky shower heads, not fixable, temperature hardly adjustable, showers in urgent need of repair. Reception only open in the evening, before that no shower tokens and therefore no shower facilities. Two... nurses who do not keep their promises: I was verbally promised a refund of an advance payment for a larger group in the event of bad weather. Despite constant rain and a practically unusable space, the operators no longer felt bound by this verbal promise and reacted in a very unfriendly manner. The rear meadow was simply no longer usable after prolonged rain due to a lack of suitable drainage. The halfway usable pitches still available would not have been sufficient for a group camping together. Nevertheless, the advance payments were withheld.
