"Very cozy - Small but nice, with super nice drivers and very fine cinnamon buns.....for breakfast The nearby nature reserve is beautiful and the way there as well.the sanitary facilities are very clean, if the place is completely full maybe a bit too little...anticyclical showers help ;-)

"Falkudden - Very friendly and always helpful operators. You can go boating and fishing there. You can also hire fishing equipment.

"Sweet place, super nice operators! - We were greeted in a very friendly manner in German. After we had chosen a pitch, we were guided there and instructed by the operator. Even after setting up, he asked again if everything was ok. Mega! The operators are always on hand with help and advice, whether you need tips for excursions or have problems with the shower card. :-) Unfortunately there is no store on site, the nearest one is 12 km away by car. On the site itself you can order bread rolls, buy fresh vegetables from the neighbor's garden and ice cream. The sanitary facilities are unfortunately too few in my opinion, 4 toilets in total and three showers. They are also getting on in years and you need a shower ticket (50 SKE / 4 min). Unfortunately, the time doesn't stop even if you turn off the water in between. Conclusion: Nice little place, super nice operators but here and there it could be a little cleaner. Nevertheless, we would come again.

"Small all-rounder - I can confirm previous comments in a positive way. You should feel comfortable here. Showers 2019 4min. for one unit (5kr). I didn't have to queue at any shower. Everything was ok. The corrugated glass above the doors takes some getting used to, but the showers have a curtain. The current operators are gradually improving everything here. 👍 Here on the edge of Dalarna is a good starting point for various leisure activities. We've already visited a few places, and this one is just right for what we want to visit here "star-shaped". Service is provided in German, Dutch, English and Swedish. The operators also have excursion recommendations and discounts that are interesting for families. The parking lot can be reached very quickly due to the size of the site. This makes the car-free zone even more attractive. This also makes the campsite quieter. But that doesn't mean that you can't drive up to load and unload. WLAN free, and great mobile phone coverage for those who need it. You can also park large caravans or mobile homes here. Shopping, if you need something more than what the site or petrol station has to offer, can be done in Horndal or everything your heart desires in Avesta. There are swings etc. for children. You can play ball games on the beach/meadow. You should not play between the caravans here either. That makes sense. There is a small "soccer pitch" for the little ones behind the parking lot. A boules court has also been set up here.

"Small, clean, warmly run campsite - Due to our itinerary, we were unfortunately only able to stay there for 4 days. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival and were able to choose a nice pitch. In all our years of camping, we have rarely met operators who really look after the well-being of the individual guests. From the bread rolls left outside the door in the morning to the evening tour of the site, where you are asked if everything is OK. Even if the sanitary facilities are a bit old, they are always clean. As the site was only taken over by the previous owner 3 years ago, I think that will also change.

Profil

Camping site Falkudden is beautifully situated; lying near to a mouth of the river Dalälven. The camping site is a little and cosy place with a sand beach. The unique location gives you the possibility to swim, to fish, to …canoe, to hike and to bike. For small children the water is suitable and there is a bathing jetty. In the surroundings we have the Färnebofjärden National Park where you can make magnificent hiking tours. We have 35 camping pitches and 12 stuga’s. Owners spreak German, Dutch, Englisch and Swedisch.
