"Large campsite with great sanitary facilities and its own attractions - Daftö Resort is a relatively large campsite. We were there after the season, so there was plenty of space. The sanitary facilities are great, the family shower is fantastic and intelligently designed. I can imagine that it is often busy. There's lots for children to discover here.

"Beautiful, but still room for improvement - We stayed at the Dafto Resort in August with 3 children and had the following experiences: Positive: + check-in and check-out are friendly and fast and there is a sufficiently large registration lane in front of the reception + the pitches are spacious, the location of the site is very scenic + the store offers a wide range of goods at reasonable prices + we liked the amusement park next door, although not quite cheap and unusual for us that parking fees are also charged there, but also within walking distance + WLAN free of charge and with super speed + beautiful pool landscape, which can be used even when the outside temperature is only just over 20°C Negative: - if you know central and southern European 5-star ADAC super pitches, you have to say goodbye to some expectations: less emphasis is placed on the cleanliness of toilets, washing and shower facilities and the dryers / washing machines in the north, due to the user habits this is probably even more difficult than in more southern areas, e.g. I have never seen so much dirt in a campsite.For example, I have never seen so much toilet paper lying around on the floor and I don't understand why this is done, but other countries, other customs... There is no round-the-clock cleaning of the sanitary facilities here, it was still sufficiently clean, but just not 5-star - the cleanliness of the sinks near the pitches is also not comparable, The plots are not separated from each other and, depending on the neighbors and the orientation of the tents/caravans, you sit quite open to each other - The night's rest is not monitored, young people splashing and bawling in the sea late at night are left to their own devices - Barbecuing with charcoal on the plots is permitted and the northerners indulge in this extensively, depending on how many neighbors come up with the idea at the same time, it can also be unpleasant - pitches are poorly prepared / not prepared at all I have not seen anyone (apart from us) who maneuvers their caravan onto the pitch by hand Normally it is maneuvered into place by car, if the wheel spins on the wet meadow, the water collects in the resulting track, we have not seen anyone during our stay who removes such residues before the pitch is re-covered. We ourselves also had a pitch where 2 large puddles formed in the awning after rain showers, and even a tarpaulin placed underneath did not help. - Notices about the campsite offers for children only in Swedish, the English version is only available on the homepage of the campsite in general: - due to the proximity to Norway, a high proportion of Norwegian permanent campers and weekend guests - when booking (for us already 1/2 year in advance) the entire price is already due, not a deposit as usual. If you want to leave early, nothing will be refunded, you should know that! - There are no sinks, only a kitchen in the sanitary buildings, but this only has a few sinks and is often used by the Swedes / Norwegians for cooking. Washing up is probably mostly done at the pitch, at least nobody was to be seen with dishes on the way to wash up. - not visible to us on the map beforehand: there is only a bathing beach in the "Södervikken" area, on the other side you can also get into the water in the area of the jetties, but it is not a bathing beach - tips from reception on things to do and excursions are limited exclusively to the immediate vicinity, you should find out about this yourself beforehand if you want to stay longer than just a few days and you want to explore more, There is also little information on hiking/biking tours or fishing, so you are on your own, there are also no organized activities on offer - renting a boat proved to be more difficult than expected in view of the great archipelago coast, we finally found what we were looking for at Lökholmens Camping about 25 km north. Incredibly, there don't seem to be any other providers. - You can't exchange money at the reception, you can only withdraw money with your Visa card, but there is an additional fee, there is an ATM about 4km away in the supermarket "ICA Kvantum Strömstad" - our overall impression was that the campsite is run with much less staff for cleaning / maintenance / security than you would expect from 5-star campsites in Central and Southern Europe, but the prices are also much cheaper than these. Conclusion: We would visit the campsite again, but next time rather as a round trip, but that has nothing to do with the campsite itself.

"One of the best places in Sweden - We were very surprised by this campsite. It is expensive, but the site is very well looked after and there is something on offer. We were here with a dog and were warmly welcomed everywhere. Every pitch has water and electricity. Well located for cycling and hiking. Many hiking trails well signposted. Amusement park for children (not included in the price) Place is to be recommended. You can see that there are other ways.

"Short vacation - Very large campsite with approx. 600 pitches. At first glance you don't realize that it is so big. Pool facilities are available, but some of the water effects no longer work - unfortunately.

Welcome to seaweed, salt and adventure. Experience Daftöland amusement park, featuring rides, games, theatre and pirates. The resort has restaurants, wellness and sauna, shops, pool area, beaches, padel tennis, adventure golf, boat trips and activities for the whole family. Stay …at the Pirate Hotel, cottages, camping pitches or the guest harbour close to Strömstad and Koster. Lots of activities are included during school breaks from Easter to the autumn event Spöktober. In between these breaks, Daftö is a nice place for relaxation and togethertime, with facilities that make your stay extra comfy.
