The campsite is managed with attention to detail (e.g. small stickers on the sandwich bags or the child-friendly signage on the site or the super clean supply and disposal area and of course the beautifully laid out playground). The pitches... are spacious and well laid out. The mountain mill gives the site that certain something of charm. At the reception there is a selected range of shopping if you have just run out of something. And for those with a sweet tooth, there is a variety of ice creams from the ice chest :-) The access via bridges and the fully automated opening of the barrier via the license plate works without any problems. We were also greeted very warmly and with an eye for detail 👍🏻 We can't say anything about the surrounding area as we only stayed on the site.Samodejno prevedeno.
Jenny L.junij 2025PozitivnoQuiet location despite being close to the highway.NegativnoNot barrier-free everywhere!Great campsiteCampingplatz Bergmühle is somewhat hidden, close to the highway (but still very quiet) and has a beautiful old tree population. We were there for the first time at Easter 2025 and were thrilled. Anyone looking for a campsite with action and entertainment is in the wrong place.
It is a former mill, with... a stream, a playground, barbecue facilities for groups and small picnic huts dotted around the site.
The owners, Saskia and Peter Kumm, always have an open ear and are very friendly.
Getting here is also uncomplicated. You park in front of the wooden bridge, register either at reception or via a terminal and can then drive in with license plate recognition. Dogs are also welcome here.
The camp card, which is required for showering, can be obtained from reception. If you shower sparingly, you pay less. You are only charged for what you use. No annoying flat rates for a fixed time.
Behind the older (but very clean) bathroom, which is unfortunately not barrier-free due to the design of the mill, there is a washing machine and a dryer (for a fee). There are also two dishwashing facilities with hot water.
The campsite also has a lovingly furnished kiosk with fair prices and the operator also offers pizza to go. Which is also reasonably priced. The current prices (Whitsun 2025) are between €8.90 and €10.90. This is also restaurant quality and not cheap baked pizzas.
There is a nice little playground and a mini golf course for the children. Clubs, balls, pencil and pad are available for a fee.

There are also many excursion destinations for children within a radius of 100 km. We only ended up there because we couldn't get a pitch for a long weekend anywhere else in the area without a reservation.
We were all the more surprised when we ended up at this campsite with pitches still available....
The reception by the owner was extremely warm and courteous.
The Bergmühle campsite is an exceptional, lovingly designed yet natural, very dog-friendly and well-kept campsite for anyone looking for peace and relaxation.
You can go walking or cycling in the area. There are several small villages in the immediate vicinity, a castle with parks and a supermarket about 3 km away. The nearest larger town is Salzgitter, about 20 km away.
We rode our bikes to the Salzgittersee, about 15 km of cycle path, easy to ride.
The owners are extremely hospitable and recommended a place that suited us on arrival - just great!
In the small store there are fresh bread rolls every day and everything you need to live, you can even order pizza.
The sanitary facilities are very clean.
Showers for 4 minutes cost 1 euro.
Unfortunately, we deduct 1 small point here, as the time continues to run even if you turn off the shower in between.
The pitches are partly shady under trees, partly sunny on the grass - anything but boring!
There is also a small mini golf course and a playground.
There are plenty of great trails around the campsite for walking your dog.
Conclusion: An absolute insider tip for a few days of rest and relaxation. Absolutely recommended.

The chemical spout takes some getting used to.
Overall, you can feel that this site is being renovated bit by bit and that further investment is being made.
Located directly on the river "Innerste", the site is very idyllic and quiet.
Ideal for excursions in the surrounding area, for bike tours and for walks with your four-legged friend.
Dear operators: keep up the good work and this place will soon become the jewel of the region.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly among the guests and the Kumm family. It really is an ideal place for tent campers. After hiking, a short swim in the Innerste will revive tired legs, charging your cell phone quickly for the next day's tour... is also no problem and you can treat yourself to an ice cream or pizza in the evening. This year we also spent our summer vacation here for the first time and are simply thrilled. The natural surroundings are wonderful and offer a wide range of sporting activities. Even on very hot summer days, the many trees... keep the pitches shady and quite cool and if it does get too hot, the river invites you to cool off. Our children were able to ride their bikes around the site from morning till night and play in the fantastic playground, so they never got bored. Mrs. and Mr. Kumm are extremely friendly and helpful with requests of any kind. The stone oven pizza on offer is incredibly tasty and the ice cream selection at reception is also great. If you want, you can even cook your own pizza in the stone oven in the open air.

It really was a very relaxing vacation. The children were particularly taken with the squirrels and fireflies. We didn't feel disturbed at any time and we didn't have the feeling that others were disturbed by us. Unfortunately, that's not always the case with a large family. The Bergmühle is idyllically situated by the river, and those arriving are welcomed at the thoroughly welcoming reception. Attention to detail is really... important here and everyone is made to feel at home. Anyone with a problem of any kind will find open ears here. It is important to the owners that the campsite has a relaxed atmosphere in which you can relax.
The sanitary facilities are very clean and are cleaned daily, there is now also a really cute mini golf course and the little ones can let off steam in the playground. If you want to buy groceries, you can do so seven minutes away by car in Holle - Rewe, Netto and Edeka, pharmacies, bakeries - everything is there. However, the reception also offers a service for breakfast rolls! Just ask. :)
The pitches for tents, motorhomes and caravans are very well maintained and the prices are very fair. The tent pitches are conveniently located close to the sanitary facilities and there is also a small barrel where you can snuggle up if it rains. Also included is the orange tomcat, who likes to follow you around the site if you scratch his ears long enough ;)
