Pozitivno
the very beautiful location with a view of the Schlei from almost all pitches heavenly peace and quiet friendly reception
Negativno
There should be significantly more water taps
Highly recommended place for active rest seekers
Our expectations of a camping vacation on the Schlei were exceeded. The pitches for tourists offer plenty of space and mostly a wonderful view over the Schlei to the east. There is hardly anything better than breakfast in the morning sun with this view. The many permanent pitches are mostly in the upper... part of the site and are not a nuisance. The judgment about the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities is always determined not only by the cleaning quality but also strongly by those who use them. During our stay, both were excellent. The biggest plus point of the site is the heavenly peace and quiet in a location in the beautiful landscape around the Schlei. The only point of criticism is the insufficient number of water taps, some of which are also difficult to access.

Location of the square
Negativno
Strict adherence to the lunch break, although we would have liked to set up in the dry and a large area of rain was approaching.
Very nice place on the Schlei
Great location on the Schlei. Starting point for many cycling tours. Lots of permanent campers, but almost none of them were there during our stay.
Therefore no problems with the - possibly too small - sanitary facilities

Pozitivno
Nice and helpful owners, small but well-stocked store, bread roll service, the location of the campsite on a bend in the Schlei, the grounds in terraces, so you have a fantastic view from almost everywhere. The sanitary buildings are cleaned several times a day.
Negativno
The sanitary building at the entrance to the campsite is a bit outdated, but is always kept very clean! The entrance to the destination road in the village, as well as some bends on the campsite, are a bit narrow for large caravans. With enough care, however, it is still easy to manage.
Great CP in a beautiful area
We stayed for a good week in August 2024 with our dog and felt completely at home. A great campsite with nice permanent campers, a fantastic location and area and everything you need to be happy.

Pozitivno
beautiful view, friendly operators and staff, good price-performance ratio, clean sanitary facilities
Negativno
Access a little tricky for large caravans, uneven pitches
Nice little campsite
The campsite is located at the end of a small road in a residential area. Shortly before the campsite, you have to turn right and go around a large old tree. The residents have secured their plots with large stones. Getting around here undamaged with larger trailers is a bit of a challenge.
But now to... the pitch: registration is quick and uncomplicated. The lady who greeted us was very friendly and helpful. Registration is integrated into the small store, which has pretty much everything you need. You can pre-order bread rolls or just take the ones that are still available. Special mention: super tasty home-baked cake: large slice of cherry cake for €1.50, or meatballs / sausages with potato salad for €2!!! and that on a campsite!!! Simply great! Where else can you find such value for money?
The tourist pitches are spacious, but on a slight slope, so chocks are an absolute must. But there is a very nice view of the Schei. Very nice playgrounds, one for the very little ones and also something for the older ones.
For the dogs you can walk through the campsite, past the upper wash house, where you come to a farm track outside the campsite where you can go for a good walk.
The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but very clean. They are cleaned at 5am in the morning, so the normal operation is not disturbed.
It is about 20 minutes to Schleswig city center.
We were two adults with three dogs and a caravan. We were just passing through but felt very comfortable.

Camping site to feel good
We were here for the first time and had a terrace pitch with a view of the Schlei.
We were pleasantly surprised at how uncomplicated everything was.
Everything was based on trust: reservation possible by phone, no deposit, barrier card handed out without a deposit and no prohibition signs.
Both sanitary... blocks were very clean and practically furnished/designed.

In addition to food, the store also offered fresh cakes and one or two dishes.

We felt completely at home here.

So beautiful
We were guided by the many positive reviews and were not disappointed.
A fine little place in a cul-de-sac, with a direct view of the Schlei. Perfect for cycling, even if it felt like the wind was always coming from the front :-)
I would have liked to stay...

Secret tip (I hope it stays that way)
I stayed at the Wees campsite for four nights in September 2021. The pitch with a view of the Schlei was very nice, also because I had a great view of the Schlei due to the row in front not being completely occupied. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to be. There's no hustle and... bustle here. The surroundings are good for cycling (e-bike !!!! - if you have a Dutch bike with you - like me - it's bad) and hiking great.
The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful The camping store at the reception has a surprisingly good range - and very tasty bread rolls if ordered in advance. The sanitary facilities were always clean and there were plenty of them. But the showers are simply too narrow !!! 20 or 30 cm in length and width would have helped a lot!
WLAN is free, but only available at reception and in the lounge.
The price per night is reasonable, which should not be forgotten when criticizing!

Nice quiet place for water sports enthusiasts and cyclists. Nice owner with top shopping facilities. Delicious bread rolls. Almost everyone has a view of the Schlei thanks to the terrace location. Every decent camper probably has a pair of wheel chocks with them.

We are traveling with a seven-year-old child and a dog and find this place suitable for all of us. It's very cozy here. The small camping store has everything a supermarket should offer. You can find everything you need for everyday use here. It's great for swimming, boating and hiking. The Baltic Sea is also just 15 km away.

Directly on the Schlei, idyllic, absolutely quiet location, very clean, very friendly owners, family atmosphere.
Negativno
We have to go through Hamburg to get to the Schlei, and the risk of traffic jams can certainly be minimized by changing the departure times.
Idyllic location and very, very friendly, dedicated owners
We enjoyed our Whitsun vacation, even though the weather was unpredictable. There is a large common room with games, WiFi and TV, a very well-stocked store with a bread roll service, a nice selection of grilled meat and home-baked cakes every day. A very beautiful sailing area, jetty and slip possibility... directly at the site. The very well-kept, always clean sanitary facilities, which are thoroughly cleaned every night, are completely adequate and throwing in shower tokens is somehow retro and therefore funny. The highlight for us as a family with two teenagers was the blues session on Saturday evening. It's also great that you can get to the best fish stall by ferry and on foot and a few hundred meters further on to a cosy coffee shop. The Viking settlement of Haitabu, Eckernförde and Schleswig are within easy reach for cultural activities. We would love to come back, if possible during the summer vacation.

Pure relaxation
We spent 12 days here in August and had a wonderful time. Yes, the pitches are a bit uneven in places, the showers at the playground are a bit narrow and there are shower tokens - but none of that bothered us at all. The location directly on the Schlei, the friendliness of the owner, who tries to fulfill all special requests, and the Irish evening made our vacation a highlight.

Very nice place
One of the best places we visited this summer. The location was ideal, we had a direct view of the Schlei and no neighbors looking in. Despite the rainy weather, we felt comfortable on the beautifully laid out terraced pitch close to the very well-kept sanitary facilities. You can cycle short 15-30 km... and longer tours of 60-100 km a day and combine excursions with each other. Schleswig, Eckernförde, Kappeln and the Baltic Sea are within easy reach. The site offers small handicraft courses, canoe hire etc. The operators are very friendly, the small store is well stocked and you can spend a wonderful week there....we will definitely be back!!!

Extremely small shower cubicles with shower nozzles, some permanent pitches very unkempt.
Whitsun vacation 2016
There were two of us there, my husband and I. The location is nice, the price is perfectly fine. Too bad that there is no snack bar or a small cafe on the square. The sanitary facilities are ok so far, but a washing cubicle was missing, because some mothers think they have to take their sons with 9/10... years into the ladies sanitary facilities. The shower cubicle unfortunately with shower coin and as already mentioned by others extremely narrow.a little more on the hips and you could almost get the idea to soap up before and then fall in ;-)The place is very nice only the upper row (permanent campers) is horribly unkempt in some places, I would intervene as a groundskeeper / caretaker times.we come despite everything because it was otherwise really nice like again.

Beautiful place for water sports enthusiasts
We spent 14 quiet and relaxing days on the site in August. The friendliness of the operators is exceptional, something you rarely find on a campsite. The showers in the lower sanitary building certainly take some getting used to but are clean and tidy. The upper sanitary building is new and in top condition. The site is ideal for many water sports. We will certainly visit this campsite again.

Showers clearly too small
Tourist pitches good - showers too small
Our first port of call this summer vacation. Well suited as a starting point to explore Kappeln, Schleswig, Eckernförde etc. We liked the pitch for us (opposite the playground right next to the wash house)... Certainly everything is sloping and you should have one or the other wedge / block with you,... but that belongs in the caravan anyway... The staff were super friendly and open to all questions. But what was really annoying were the showers (in the wash house near reception - we didn't use the other one)... These are quite small and cramped, so if you want to have dry clothes after showering, it's better to undress outside... And as the doors open inwards, as a person with a little more girth you only have the option of trudging backwards into the shower cubicle to open the door... then you either have wet feet again or there's dirt from your shoes in the shower tray... suboptimal. And something else for the creepy cabinet (but not included in the rating): Walking through the permanent camper areas reveals abysses in terms of garbage and cleanliness.... If I were the groundsman, I would have thrown some of them off the site - because these wrecks are really not an advertisement - not to mention the possible attraction of uninvited small rodents. But as long as you only stay on the lower tourist pitches, this site is highly recommended
