A campground worth visiting again, right on the lake

The campground is very well-kept and maintained on an ongoing basis. The front desk staff and everyone else are consistently very friendly and welcoming! 🤗
The restrooms are cleaned regularly and are in very good condition. The shower right on the beach and the designated non-swimmer area, where our... kids have a blast, are especially convenient. The playground is also very popular.
The restaurant right on the campground has a spacious interior with a wonderful view of the lake, as well as a beautiful terrace. The prices are reasonable and very family-friendly.
The location right on the lake is simply priceless. We’ve been spending our vacations here for many years and are always happy to come back.

Wi-Fi isn't stable enough
Great campground in a fantastic location

The campground is located right on Lake Waginger. The shore is no more than 100 meters away from any of the campsites, and of course there are also sites right on the water. You can choose between sunny, partially shaded, and tree-lined sites. We opted for a sunny spot and didn’t regret it. The restroom... facilities are adequate and are cleaned twice a day. There’s a restaurant right on the campground where a local bakery sells fresh rolls and other items in the morning. A free shuttle bus runs twice a week from the campground directly to Salzburg and once a week to Königsee. The campground is in a great location for bike rides and hikes. The town of Waging is about 2.5 km away and offers both shopping and dining options. There are also plenty of activities for children there. The campground itself has separate areas for non-swimmers and swimmers, as well as a small playground right by the water. The Beeker family, the campground’s owners, are extremely friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much once again and will definitely be back in 2027.

Wonderful Days at Schwanenplatz
As always, our stay in 2026 was perfect once again.
We enjoyed the lakeside location, the nice weather, the nearby bike paths, and the places to stop for a bite to eat.

Highly recommended
A beautiful campground right on the lake. Perfect for anyone who loves peace and quiet, hiking, biking, and swimming.
We enjoyed taking the bus—which stops just before the campground—to Salzburg for 10.00 euros per person with a guest card. You can’t usually get there and back for such a low price.... Simply great!
The lakeside restaurant serves excellent, reasonably priced food.
Fresh bread rolls every morning!
Overall, the campground is beautifully situated and very clean. The same goes for the modern restroom facilities.
The Beeker family is a great team👍

A great stopover by the lake
We stopped at Schwanenplatz for an overnight stay; we arrived around 2 p.m. and were greeted very warmly at the front desk. The campground seemed pretty much fully booked, but we managed to get a great shaded spot for ourselves and our van. The restrooms were in great condition and very clean, and the... lake was just a few steps away—perfect for swimming. At the nearby restaurant, we could enjoy a drink outside in the shade and have a really good meal. The staff there was also very friendly. The value for the price was absolutely right. We’ll definitely be back!

A Great Vacation at the Schwanensee Campground
A very nice little campground. Everything is clean and well-maintained. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Lake Waginger is simply enchanting. The water is warm and clear, and it’s great for stand-up paddleboarding. Plus, the entry into the water is nice and shallow.
From 7 to 10 a.m., you can... buy fresh rolls right on the campground at the restaurant.
The surroundings are beautiful. The only downside—though it’s not that big of a deal—is that the Wi-Fi reception isn’t great. And strangely enough, cell service is also poor, even though the internet shows Telekom’s coverage as 5G. But we’ll still be coming back here next year because it’s just great.

A very nice, quiet spot
It was another wonderful and relaxing stay at the Schwanenplatz campground. The Beeker family and their staff are very friendly and always go out of their way to ensure their guests are satisfied. Once again, we were able to use a very nice and clean laundry facility, and it’s rare to find a campground... that’s so well-maintained and natural with such great sites.
Thank you very much again, especially for helping us resolve our reservation issue, which was caused by our car.
We’re already looking forward to next year.

a place worth recommending
Our stay with them was a success. Top-notch restrooms, a friendly welcome, a good selection of baked goods, a great restaurant, and level campsites. The only thing is that the size of the campsites varies greatly. There are very large and very small sites, and I pay the same price for all of them. When... we booked in January, we were offered two available sites, but it wasn’t clear how big they were. We were then unlucky enough to book the rather small spot No. 60. We then spoke with other campers who had significantly larger spots—who reportedly booked later and were also offered significantly larger spots. We didn’t think that was quite right.

Hallo
Mein Mann und ich haben uns auf „dem alten Platz“ kennengelernt. Danach waren wir mit unseren Enkeln hier. Jetzt genießen wir den Platz zu Zweit. Egal wie, es ist immer wieder großartig hier zu sein. Jetzt, mit dem eigenen Wohnmobil , werden wir wieder öfters kommen. Besonders möchten wir den freundlichen Brötchen Service hervorheben.
