- 3.0HKHeike K.september 20243.0HKHeike K.september 2024PozitivnoFree local transportNegativnoAircraft noiseGood transport connectionsThe campsite is away from the noise of the roads, but unfortunately there is a lot of air traffic here. The helicopters are annoying.
You can also hear the train with its freight traffic. (Even at night).
The transport connections are very good.
You can get to Bellinzona in 20 minutes by bus. Locarno... can be reached in 30 minutes by bus.
It is very good for hiking and cycling.
We liked the free Ticino ticket.
Shopping facilities are 2km away. Aldi and other supermarkets.
There is even beer for 5 Sfr at the reception. A tea bag costs 50 centimes.
Just Swiss prices!
The pool is very, very cold. 17 or 18 degrees. You can't be squeamish there.
The pitches are beautiful and very spacious.
The sanitary facilities are well maintained. There are even hairdryers.
OK for a 4-5 day stay.
The staff at reception are very friendly.Samodejno prevedeno.Še noben kamper ni označil te ocene kot koristno. The fact that the place was not directly on the lake did not bother us in any way. Ideal for cycling in a beautiful area with very pretty villages on Lake Maggiore. Hiking in the region is also very possible, but not directly from the... campsite. The young owners are very friendly and go out of their way. The sanitary facilities are of a good standard and clean. The pool is great for swimming due to its size, although it is not heated.
We will definitely be back.Samodejno prevedeno.Še noben kamper ni označil te ocene kot koristno. Bodite prvi! - 5.0HL
Heinz L.september 20235.0HLHeinz L.september 2023PozitivnoThe Super Square only offers advantagesNegativnoThere is nothing not to like!A top campsite in every respectThe Riarena has been our destination twice a year for some time now. Nicole at reception is friendly and helpful in person. The pitches are often very shady and pleasantly large. There are well-marked cycle routes and wonderful walks directly from the campsite. The site's own pool is brilliant and the... restaurant on the site is simply gourmet. I'm already looking forward to the next Filet Gulasch Stroganoff, a dream! We have already reserved another dream pitch for next spring. We are looking forward to our umpteenth stay.Samodejno prevedeno.1 kamper je to oceno označil kot koristno. - 5.0
Jürg G.maj 20235.0Jürg G.maj 2023PozitivnoThe location, directly on the cycle path between Bellinzona and Locarno. Close to a bus stop - tickets included in the price. Everything very clean. We ate very well in the campsite restaurant. Very nice people at the reception too.NegativnoBasically, we liked it very much.Very nice campsiteWe really liked the location, right on the cycle path between Bellinzona and Locarno. The proximity to the stores in Cugnasco is also an advantage. The bus stop is a 15-minute walk away and tickets are included in the price. The sanitary facilities and the whole site are very clean. We ate very well... and at reasonable prices in the campsite restaurant. Very nice people at the reception, where everything was perfectly prepared. Everything is just right at Riarena!NegativnoBut that's not the operators' fault!A wonderful campsiteAfter several years of abstinence due to other destinations, we once again visited Camping Riarena in Ticino and were not ready for it. The Berner family who run the site are friendly and helpful, the pitches are large, partly shady and partly sunny. We always found the sanitary facilities spotlessly... clean, but this is not only due to the cleaning staff but also to the guest pitches. I personally didn't use the fantastic pool area, but my sweetheart did and was delighted. My enthusiasm concerned the on-site restaurant. The lightning-fast, friendly and competent service and the food on offer are in no way inferior to a gourmet temple. The menu ranges from a simple pizza to an exquisite Stroganoff fillet goulash. The latter was a real treat, which I ordered on several days. As a dog owner and in the heat, I also really enjoyed the shady walks. My conclusion: everything is just right at the Riarena, so I'll be back again!Samodejno prevedeno.Še noben kamper ni označil te ocene kot koristno. Bodite prvi!

Close to the bus stop, 15 minutes walk away. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pitches are large enough and with the beautiful trees, some of them are nicely shaded. Marcel L.julij 20214.0Marcel L.julij 2021Pozitivno- uncomplicated, speedy booking process - Friendly reception - poolNegativno-Even without direct access to the lake; topThe Riarena campsite can easily keep up with the campsites directly on Lake Maggiore. Friendly staff and absolutely uncomplicated and speedy check-in and check-out. M.maj 2021PozitivnoWarm and courteous hosts, site with good infrastructure (we were given a spacious pitch for our large camper van), relaxing and quiet atmosphere, many sights and lake within walking, cycling or public transport distance, good restaurant and pool on site, fair priceNegativnoNothingQuiet place with very cordial hosts a little away from the hustle and bustle of the lakeYou feel welcome as a guest, which in our experience is not the case everywhere else in Ticino. For us, it is an ideal place for a vacation on upper Lake Maggiore with the Verzasca and Maggia valleys.
BTW: We have neither used nor rated all the sanitary facilities in the motorhome and the sanitary building.Samodejno prevedeno.1 kamper je to oceno označil kot koristno. - 5.0IVIrene V.april 20215.0IVIrene V.april 2021PozitivnoThe location, totally surrounded by greenery and the peace and quietNegativnoThe pitches are a bit narrow and not easy to park due to the trees. As a result, there are sometimes problems with satellite reception (for those who value it)Beautiful campsite in the middle of natureA very nice place right on the Locarno-Belinzona cycle path. You can do your shopping easily by bike, it's about 5 km. You can walk to the village and there is also a bus stop. The ticket is included in the price. The campsite is much cheaper than directly on Lake Maggiore and not as noisy. All around is just nature and idyll. We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. Any time again.Samodejno prevedeno.1 kamper je to oceno označil kot koristno.

- 5.0EFErnst F.junij 20205.0EFErnst F.junij 2020PozitivnoThe whole camping climate on the site, with large pitches. The Berner family manage the campsite. Good price - performance ratio, the always clean swimming pool and the sanitary facilities. Many nice campers on the site during this time.NegativnoRather high visitor's taxVisit during after the opening after Corona closureWe visited the campsite after the very difficult time of the Corona crisis. We were very surprised and of course very satisfied with how the campsite management and all the staff managed the opening in accordance with legal regulations. Really great work. Everything was always very clean, the water was... always hot, soap and disinfectant as well as hand drying paper and toilet paper were always replenished. The distances were regulated in an exemplary manner with windows and taps turned off. Despite difficult times, everything was solved in an exemplary manner. The management and all the staff were always very friendly. To our satisfaction, we stayed a week longer than planned. We will certainly visit the site again.Samodejno prevedeno.1 kamper je to oceno označil kot koristno.

We were allowed to choose a suitable pitch ourselves. The pitch was large, so we had plenty of space with our rather large caravan and awning and our two dogs. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained.... The waste disposal station is exemplary. The food in the restaurant is highly recommended.
