A Fantastic Campground
We felt right at home as soon as we changed our spot
(we spent one night in the Free Zone)! There are beautiful swimming coves that aren’t very deep—
perfect for wading in—and the water is very clean and not very salty! The restrooms are cleaned throughout the day,
the showers are spacious, and there... are sinks both outdoors and in wash stalls! A washing machine and dryer are available!
I really enjoyed taking part in the yoga and Pilates classes.
The front desk staff are always ready to help with any problem! The ladies and gentlemen who work here are very friendly. The campground is beautiful and always full—be sure to make your reservation well in advance!

Restaurant Maris Prices & quality poor Other restaurants simply closed Pool bar only open from time to time Pool extremely cold Access for everyone possible few toilets and showers Supermarket manageable
Not worth 5 stars
Unfortunately, an absolute failure for us. If only 1 restaurant on the site is permanently open, but unfortunately it is of poor quality, you are forced to go shopping by car or eat out every day.
You had to plan a lot of time to go to the showers as there were always too few free ones.

Passing through, but it would also be nice for several days
We were actually just passing through, but could imagine a longer stay. Very friendly staff, very clean, a perfect restaurant. Clean water, good access to the sea in several bays.

There was also a freely accessible pool for those who were "afraid" of the sea water.

Great location right by the sea with crystal clear water and very friendly staff
Negativno
High prices with poor quality in the site's own supermarket and far too many dogs
Nice place, but the too many dogs are a nuisance
A beautiful and well-kept campsite with a great location right by the sea, especially if you have a premium pitch.
The staff (from reception to the gardener/electrician) are very friendly throughout, especially Valentina at reception.
especially Valentina at reception.
The (unfortunately only) restaurant... on site offers good food at fair prices.
However, the prices in the supermarket are very high and the quality (especially of the vegetables and bread rolls) is poor. In addition, they don't have the full range of products every day, but sometimes one thing today and something else tomorrow.
But the many dogs - or rather their owners - who don't follow the rules and lie with their dogs on the actually dog-free section of the beach and take them onto the SUP are really bad. And then you come across the dog poo while swimming, so we left early. Unfortunately, the management does nothing about this dog nuisance.

Beautifully landscaped pitches
Negativno
Very far away from everything
does not deliver what it promises
It was our first time here and we were very disappointed. The pitches are nicely laid out, but that's where it ends. The price/performance ratio is not right. The taverna and beach bar advertised on the homepage is not available. When asked at reception, the answer was, "The boss knows about it, but... doesn't do anything". The restaurant was expensive and not comparable with the restaurants outside, plus the waitress deliberately ignored us and ended up ripping us off. The wash houses look nice from the outside but the showers are dirty and smelly. 11€ per night for a dog is also cheeky. The human costs €14.50.
Evening entertainment not really available either.
Except when paying, the staff at the reception seemed very listless. Unfortunately, no transfer is offered from the campsite to the larger towns.
The bus/taxi transfer offered is expensive and does not belong to the campsite.
For us one of the worse places in Croatia.

Sanitary clean
Negativno
Absolutely overrated
Clean place
We spontaneously became aware of the site because of the Google reviews and the 5 stars. We had one of the premium gravel pitches near the rear wash house. The sanitary facilities were clean, but even small defects such as broken towel rails in the showers were not repaired during our stay.
The restaurant... was good, prices reasonable and the staff very friendly.
The ladies at reception were also friendly, if a little undercooked.
The location close to the refinery and airport cannot be glossed over, but this is clear to everyone on maps before booking. The cultural offerings in the immediate vicinity are manageable, but the island itself offers plenty to see.
The beach bar, pool bar and bar were closed all the time, despite the pitches being almost full.
Overall, the stay was absolutely fine, but 5 stars are incomprehensible and the price does not match the service offered.

The size of the pitches. The very friendly reception staff.
Negativno
The beach is man-made and consists of crushed rocks. Access is only possible with shoes or bathing shoes. The sanitary facilities are super modern and clean, but are not adequate. Defective lighting, soap dispensers, privacy screens in the men's showers are not repaired. The prices in the restaurant are not reasonable. The offer in the supermarket is poor and the prices are exaggerated.
The campsite is overpriced
The campsite is overpriced. The trees and bushes are still very small and therefore offer hardly any shade. The sanitary facilities are super modern and clean, but not adequate. Defective facilities are not repaired, from the lighting in the showers to the privacy screens in the men's showers, etc.
The... restaurant was not to our taste and the prices are exorbitant. This also applies to the supermarket.
The campsite has potential, but more attention needs to be paid to maintenance.

Restaurant, friendly staff, very clean and well-kept. Well-stocked supermarket Very close to the water
Negativno
Gravel floor on all pitches. Very loud due to animation. Little shade. Some let the dogs out alone in the evening. What they leave on the beach is disposed of by the staff in the morning.
Unsuitable for camping
All the pitches are on gravel, which makes hammering in pegs a big challenge. As we didn't know this, the stones made a hole or two in our tent floor. There was children's entertainment etc. which was combined with loud "summer hits". In front of the well-stocked supermarket, one or two people were waiting... for their wives with their engines revving. That's really annoying. From 6 o'clock onwards, the first pensioners appear and pull the sunbeds across the beach to reserve them with towels. If you like all that, you're in good hands here. it wasn't for me.

Dog excrement on the paths and on the beach Dogs on the non-dog beach and by the pool Power cuts every 20 minutes
Dog litter tray with storm guarantee
I have a dog myself but this was a vacation in the dog toilet! The dogs pee themselves on the non-dog beach and it stinks because it rarely rains. We parked our sun loungers by a tree and it stank terribly. We didn't want to leave our child sitting on the peed-up gravel. The dogs are even taken to the... pool and parked on the sun loungers. The sidewalks are full of smeared excrement. Cigarette butts everywhere on the beach. Power cuts every 20 minutes during the day for weeks on end. Only cold showers several times. If you get one after queuing for half an hour. 16 cabins for the whole site, a joke. Everything in the wash house is unkempt. You can hardly see anything in the mirrors. Some of the hairdryers don't work. Broken door locks or not there at all. Shelves and hooks missing, only holes left. A shower without light, you are completely in the dark. Floor extremely slippery when wet. Toilet bowls creak as if they are not screwed down. Soap dispenser constantly empty. It doesn't help that the very nice cleaning staff do their best. Nobody cares. Others have also complained and the reception manager just said: "Then go somewhere else!" That's how you do business, because every dog brings in extra money. Totally overbooked and therefore full. Barren landscape, but nicely laid out. Water very clean. You should be able to manage without an awning. Had a week of constant wind with gusts, couldn't pitch anything in the second row. Others had it worse. Even in the sheltered grove !closed! roof hoods flew and that in August.

Pozitivno
Very spacious parking spaces (Premium)
Negativno
Very large repair backlog
Good place, but no 5 *****
We received a very friendly welcome on Sunday, July 31, 2022. What made us a little suspicious was the handing in of the travel or identity documents. You only get these back on the day of departure (must be changed, you can no longer identify yourself in Croatia)
The site is generally well laid out,... the Premium pitches are very large and equipped with water, waste water and electricity connections.
As it is still a young site, the tree cover is quite small. We did not use the pool area.
The restaurant at the entrance area and the beach restaurant a little further away are recommended (but also expensive).

We noticed some negative things:
Toilet paper is missing, you have to come up with something :-) or you want to have your chemical toilet cleaned at the vending machine (3€ invested) and when you open the vending machine blind you get the "sausage".
My daughter and I just wanted to play table tennis, when we asked when the table tennis table would be repaired (it must have been broken for some time), we were told: "Not at all, one possibility would be in the direction of Omisalj (10min)."

The repair backlog is far too high for a "young" campsite:
Mirrors defective, locks in the shower doors defective/missing, all doors "hanging/not adjusted"

We personally think that the campsite does not deserve 5 stars! Too bad actually!

Ps: All those who are in the 1-4 row should urgently take additional fastening material for the awning / awning, of 14 days 5 days were EXTREMELY windy (45km / h).
Don't forget an impact wrench!

Pozitivno
- Modern, new-looking facility - Good pitches - Great clean bathing bay
Negativno
- Assortment of the small market
All well and good - but also more appearance than reality
The site is beautifully laid out in terraces. The access roads are narrow in places and pitching is a challenge and involves maneuvering back and forth. The hard ground on the pitch makes it almost impossible to hammer in pegs. Not atypical for Croatia, but it is challenging here.

The sanitary facilities... are modern and quite clean. On closer inspection/use, however, you soon realize that showers don't work, the toilet door can't be locked, soap dispensers and taps are stuck, etc.

Unfortunately, the small market has an unbalanced range and is only of limited use for everyday use. If you are not mobile and can shop outside, you will quickly reach the limits. However, you can get bread, cold cuts, cheese and drinks.

The restaurant on the square looks nice, but the prices are relatively expensive. The drinks in particular are in no way inferior to those in Germany/Switzerland.

All in all, this is a nice and good place and we would be happy to come back for a stopover. However, the price-performance ratio is in the upper range.

No heated sanitary building in winter
good place to spend the night
Everything relatively new, entrance to the (ACSI) pitches quite narrow, could be a problem with larger caravans. Super nice reception, clean sanitary facilities but unfortunately not heated in winter due to the architecturally appealing open design. In our time there was only one restaurant open with a small menu. As far as we could explore, there is not much to do on foot, except for a long walk along the water.

the large beach, free sun loungers, nice and clean wash house, could leave earlier than booked and only had to pay for the days spent
Negativno
maintenance of the site facilities, few pastries in the store
our favorite place in Croatia, but not perfect either!
We have now been to Omisalj for the second year in a row and will definitely be back. The refinery on the other side near Rijeka and the maximum of 10 airplanes on Saturdays don't bother us.

The garbage collection would be nice if it didn't arrive before 7, but you can live with that if necessary.
...
The staff were all very helpful and nice.

We noticed the following negative things:
Maintenance doesn't seem to be taken that seriously. Some of the tiles in the pool are falling off and have not been replaced. The doors in the sanitary facilities are sometimes difficult to open and the handles are all crooked and loose. There are no more shelves in the showers. And the foil on the outside showers is still being broken and has not yet been replaced with anything useful.

The bakery in the supermarket sells baked goods. Unfortunately, you can come almost whenever you want, there is hardly anything. It's more like a game of chance. The place was completely full in August and the same game every day. It's a shame that they don't just bake more here.

Otherwise, we liked it again and will be back. The fact that the nearest village is not within walking distance and that the pitch is very windy has already been written about and cannot improve in the future. We have now left earlier in 2021 because there was only storm in the forecast. The reception was very accommodating and we only had to pay for the days we were there. This is often not the case at other campsites. You often have to pay for the booked time no matter when you go.

All in all, it's more of a place for people who want a quieter place and for families with small children because of the swimming bay with gravel.

It's not for people who want action or a beach promenade. But if you want to relax, it is ideal
Wonderful and very relaxing vacation
The CP was a dream for me. Quiet and very calming. It was not overcrowded, not even at the weekend, very clean and well maintained, without exception all the staff were keen to solve or answer any problem or question immediately. The pitches are so big, the food super tasty. Our son, 16, was thrilled... and that means something. Our dog was given water without being asked. A great bathing bay, ideal for children, big and small. There is hardly a moment when no one is cleaning the sanitary facilities. The staff also help out with washing powder. 😊 I would come back at any time.

No shade, small bathing bay, view of refinery
Disappointed
Unfortunately, we were blinded by the many positive comments and beautiful pictures on the website. The pitch is relatively new and offers no shade, but this is well known. The pitch is nicely laid out, the sanitary facilities are of course relatively new, but you see the cleaning staff more often on... other pitches. The advantage of the upper pitches is that some of them have a sea view. The bathing bay is ideal for families with small children, but otherwise the view on the beach or in the first row is directed towards the mobile homes opposite or the large oil refineries on the other side. So not really inviting. The aircraft noise is not exactly pleasant either. Unfortunately, the village of Omisalj is not inviting either, there is absolutely nothing on offer here.
To summarize, everyone has to know what they want, but the price of the campsite is very high, which is also appropriate for the corresponding service, e.g. in Krk or Strasko etc., but unfortunately it cannot keep up with the overall package here.

Super clean place, location special, view with compromises
Beautiful, new campsite. Super nice welcome and really remarkably clean facilities. What is really annoying is the really modest view of the oil refinery. It's certainly nicely lit at night, but during the day it's a nightmare. Unfortunately, the location is also not great, as all the nice little towns... can only be reached by car and nothing is in the immediate vicinity. There is also an airport right next to the campsite, sometimes planes take off very early.
