We spent two wonderful days in Castellane and at the Notre Dame Campground

A wonderfully peaceful little campground with neat mobile homes. We stayed there at the end of the season.

We received a very warm welcome and some great tips about the area. The owner really works with you to find solutions. A spacious, shady spot. It’s on a fairly busy road, but we didn’t find it bothersome. We’ll definitely be back.

Update on the bathroom facilities—although they were already quite clean.

The campground is in a great location, just a stone's throw from Castellane; the staff is very friendly, and the bungalows are new and well-maintained.

We had a very pleasant stay at a lovely, shaded campground. The bungalow was spotless, and the staff was very welcoming.

The owner is very approachable, cheerful, friendly, and welcoming… absolutely fantastic!!! He’s especially helpful during big storms—he stops by to check on everyone!!! He offers many paid services, of course, such as laundry and drying, deliveries through his partnerships, and great recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, beaches, and more… It’s a small, shaded campground, even the campsites… The town center is very lively, beautiful, and bustling thanks to the shops and restaurants, and it’s a leisurely 10-minute walk away.

Better Wi-Fi connections—my 4G worked better. More space between the mobile homes, in our opinion.

A Perfect Trip

We chose this campground for its proximity to the heart of the village and stayed there for two days. The welcome was very warm and pleasant. The restroom facilities were very clean. The showers were just like at home: a showerhead with a mixer faucet, so no splashing, and water at the desired temperature. The little path leading down to the Verdon is idyllic and charming. They provide you with a map of the village and information on walking trails, and explain them to you. In short, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
