Camping Neumühle Ocene

The staff throughout the campground were very friendly.

I haven't noticed any in this short time.

Camping Neumühle was cozy, not too big, and surrounded by nature, hills, and peace. It was a very relaxing experience. Dog-friendly. A big bonus was access to a playground for children and a small swimming pool. And... the bistro was nice! Another thing I really liked was the decor. It felt like there was something interesting in every corner. It was very clear that the owners had put a lot of effort into it. Besides, the owners were very responsive when we noticed something was missing in our kitchen. It was all taken care of in minutes. So, definitely a top recommendation for anyone planning to visit Luxembourg.

The campground, run by Ina and Mike, comes highly recommended. We’ve stayed at many campgrounds throughout Europe, and this one is probably the cleanest we’ve ever seen. The restroom facilities were extremely clean at all times, and we felt very comfortable there. The pool was a great way to cool off after our hikes—the area around the campground is perfect for exploring. A huge shout-out to the two owners, Ina and Mike!!

There are a few hiking trails starting right from the campground. The neighbor's rooster can be a bit loud at times.

The sites are a bit on the small side for a caravan. A caravan with an awning and canopy wouldn't have fit on our site. The restaurant is reservation-only. The restaurant staff wasn't friendly.

The fact that you could hardly use the pool at all, since people were just jumping in, diving, playing water polo, or playing around with huge air mattresses. Not to mention not showering after...

Our site was very spacious—8x11. The restrooms were great and kept very clean. It was quiet despite there being a lot of children. The staff was very customer-friendly.

There were a lot of mice at our campsite that had dug tunnels. Unfortunately, even our tent mat couldn't keep the mice's teeth at bay. The pool is on the small side. But it's great for cooling off.

The bathroom was clean and there was always hot water.

The welcome and interaction with the owner, Ina, are fantastic. She’s incredibly warm and helpful. The new restroom area is beautiful and is kept very clean. So no hassle with tokens or any other system to get hot water—it’s simply included in the price. The restrooms and showers are spacious. The campground is well-maintained and is conveniently located in the middle of beautiful hiking trails.

Is there any downside to mention? Some of the spots are a bit narrow lengthwise. You can often choose your own spot even if you've made a reservation. The managers are very flexible.

On spot 95 is the first power point very far away 25mtr cable was not enough. If you like peace and quiet spot 95 not suitable since this is located along the access road.

You have to pay for a door to the campsite if you arrive a little earlier. I understand if it is a long time before or if a motorhome is not ready. But a piece of grass?

Very nice reception

No disadvantages for my needs. One could mention that there is no store or gas station within walking distance. However, the campsite has a small store and also a restaurant, so you are well catered for.

The beautiful surroundings.

Called in advance for a spot of at least 100m2. Would not be a problem. Upon arrival we got a spot of 72m2. Conclusion: on one side half a tree in the tent and on the other side the sleeping cabin partly on adjacent spot. Helpfulness is not there, even with a sick daughter. There are bills everywhere with telephone numbers of doctors and you have to figure it out. Toilet building is also during corona only 1x pd cleaned. Showering with a kind of key, 4 min with a fixed temperature (usually too cold for me), especially washing hair is a race against the clock. Washing up water 2 min a piss jet for 50 ct. You walk around the campsite with your toilet roll just like in the old days. Swimming pool way too small for this campsite, while that is the only thing the owner is interested in (we heard). Rules should be there, but here it is extreme. A growler walks the campground, checks and corrects. When checking out we had to wait for 3 15 minutes because they were cleaning (reception-toilet building is at most 2 min walk). Left a week early because we were done with it. Owner seemed to think that was quite normal. No apology or asking where there was wrong then, nothing at all. The money paid for the last unused week is also not refunded. You do not feel welcome at this campground and you are only good enough if you bring as much money as possible into their pocket. Very unsympathetic.
