I can't understand how anyone can get anything positive out of this place.I should have been warned when I was told that I was only allowed to enter this place after paying.I was shocked, it has the appearance of a former military site for me, which was only very provisionally converted into a campsite,... including a bunker! The smelly sewage treatment plant is right next door and directly visible, not to mention the sanitary facilities - a no-go for me as I have to pay attention to hygiene for health reasons.Since I was still on another pitch, but it could not be extended and our tent was defective anyway due to the storm last night, we decided to go home and now got to know the absolutely bad, from goodwill - zero - track - service, a cancellation would not be possible a withdrawal also not, but I was promised, if I find someone instead of me, the booking can be transferred, I did that and now it was suddenly said that the colleague was new and had no idea and it was not possible, so I was left with the costs.I've never seen such an unsightly place with service to match, I'd rather sleep somewhere in my car and stay healthy.

very simple place in a great location
Medium-sized site on the outskirts of Le Portel south of Boulogne sur mer; Boulogne can be reached by bike in about 20 minutes (through a small park, residential area and harbor facilities); pitches partly separated by hedges, some pitches occupied by mobile homes; very uneven terrain in the rear area,... due to the location directly on the cliffs; almost all pitches with sea view (unless the neighbor prevents this); Le Portel and beach can be reached on foot in less than 5 minutes; mainly French guests, families, many young people. Sometimes a bit noisy in the evening, but the night's rest was respected. Sanitary facilities take some getting used to, the newer facility at the back is fine, but was usually very busy. Still okay for a few days. The Nausikaä aquarium in Boulogne sur mer is well worth a visit.

Not suitable for tents.
Very disappointed!
We had booked to celebrate my birthday with friends, two months before the date (August 16 for one night only). The booking number was overcharged, I had to take two pitches because there were 7 of us even though the number of tents didn't change, and I had to pay a bit more to have the two pitches side... by side. When we arrived on site yesterday morning, we were offered only two possible pitches side by side: overlooking the sanitary facilities or overlooking the sea, but on a higher level (pitch T). The staff assured us that there was "not too much wind" for the higher pitch, which appealed to us, in addition to the view. There was a seaside breeze during the day, but in the evening it was very gusty, so much so that our tent (with 20 pegs!) flew away! And so did the neighbor's tent, which wasn't there... The manager on the phone, no compassion, even haughty! We left in a hurry. I'm not even talking about the urine-filled toilets...
