Everything was great—the staff was friendly and responsive. We arrived in the evening, and the man came right away when we called him to turn on the gas; he was very kind and thorough. That was nice. The apartment was clean and functional. I recommend it!

The Location

The mobile home is 26 years old, and honestly, you could really tell—it was dirty.

The campground is peaceful and close to the beach—even though the beach is covered in seaweed along the shore, it’s still an ideal spot for families, with sandy areas and shallow water far enough out. The young staff at the front desk are very friendly and always smiling 😃

The Idaho Eco rental bungalows are really small; for example, you can’t get into the shower with the bathroom door closed. They should add shelves in the bedrooms (above the bed) and in the living area. More trees should be planted, especially around the children’s playground, which is unusable in the morning because it gets too hot. In the meantime, add reed screens or shade sails over the playground.

The bungalow was really too small for four people. In the shower, you couldn't bend down to reach the soap on the shelf, and if you're even slightly overweight, you couldn't close the shower door. The water pressure couldn’t be adjusted. With four people, it was impossible for everyone to have hot water at the same time. The water couldn’t be regulated at all. That’s really a major downside.

We were really lucky with the weather... Exploring the coastal trails was great for hikers—the scenery is beautiful... I'm glad we got to go for a swim...

A large shower with good water pressure?

I wasn’t expecting much, but I’m still disappointed. It’s more like a sloped parking lot filled with RVs than a real campground. No activities, no services, nothing. The access road is in terrible shape, full of potholes, and the price is completely unjustified: €350 for 3 nights in a “comfort sea view” site, even though there’s no view at all because it’s blocked by the neighboring mobile home At that price, there are no sheets, no towels, no housekeeping, and no mosquito nets. The amenities are practically nonexistent. Honestly, at that price, just stay at a Best Western or move on.

A warm welcome

The restrooms are ridiculous—they're so tiny, it's ridiculous—and the shower is the same; it's absurd. You'll never see anything like this again at your campground.

The pillowcase was very dirty; I stepped in dog poop on the lot where my RV was parked. Besides, that poor dog was left alone at night, so we had to put up with barking for a very long time, and to top it off, there was a small truck parked right in front (it wasn’t parked to the side like everyone else), so we had a hard time parking—not to mention that the driver left the engine running for 10 minutes at 7:00 IN THE MORNING. To top it off, the face-to-face layout offers no privacy.

Cleanliness and noise—since we were on the side facing the road, we were woken up by the garbage collectors, people talking very early in the morning... and so on; The mobile homes aren't on the right side.

For taller people, those who are a bit overweight, and especially seniors, the Eco mobile homes are best avoided. I’m disappointed that there are still mobile homes with such ridiculously small dimensions: it’s practically impossible to get into the shower without bumping your head, and if you’re even a little overweight, you can’t fit in there at all. The showers and toilets are cramped—is this the standard? You end up getting lured in by the attractive listed price.

The bungalows are much too close to each other. There is very little vegetation on the campground besides the trees. It's impossible for children to ride their bikes on the campground, which is very steep.

On booking.com, I booked a campsite with a pool—Le Méditerranée—with a mobile home for one adult and two teens. But to my great surprise 😲—and my children’s disappointment—I found myself at a campground without a pool and in a 12-square-meter mobile home that wasn’t at all suitable for two teenagers and an adult, which led me to leave the campground earlier than planned.

We had a wonderful stay at this campground with an exceptional view of the sea. We had a great spot, right at the top of the campground—it’s a bit of a climb, but it’s worth it. The staff is very friendly, as were the technicians who came to help us out during our stay after the intense thunderstorm we experienced. The campground is well-located, 150 meters from La Badine Beach and the start of the coastal trail (be sure to bring plenty of water). The bus stop for Line 67 is a 5-minute walk away, which is very convenient for exploring all the wonderful sights...

On the downside, the campground is quiet, but the surrounding establishments don’t keep the noise down when they host parties. This happened almost every night during our stay. The music was very loud, and someone was speaking into a microphone at full volume. As a result, our nights were restless and not at all relaxing. Apparently, many people complained. We notified the front desk and the security guard, but no one seemed to know where the noise was coming from. We were told (at Bar le Noé) that it might be the VVF Belambra, the one in the pine forest at the very top... That was a major downside.
