With gorgeous summer weather, we were able to enjoy every moment both on and off the campground!

His team is also super nice and efficient. The owner’s wife is just as warm and empathetic. You immediately feel right at home. A beautiful, peaceful campground in the green valley of the Eifel. (Unfortunately,... there are only a few shaded spots, and not many trees on the grounds.) But there’s plenty of shade in the surrounding area.
The perfect starting point for mountain biking and hiking. Historic sites nearby.

Overall, a quiet campground with relatively few children in early August. Very quiet at night and mostly clear, starry skies....
There’s plenty to discover in the surrounding area—whether it’s sports, cuisine, or history.

Bodite prvi! - TGThierry G.julij 2026PozitivnoThere are plenty of attractions (Monschau, Bad Münsterweifel, even Phantasialand) within an hour's drive at mostStunning locationThere were a few campers who were making quite a bit of noise late in the evening (until 11:30 p.m.) at the tables with benches at the Hetzinger Stüffgen.Otherwise, no complaints, except for the fact that after 6:00 PM you can’t drive your car up to your trailer because of the barriers. Maybe a pressure... sensor could solve this, so that they open when a vehicle approaches?
Our stay was good, and I’ll definitely recommend your campground to friends.Beautiful location, although I did have to take a deep breath when driving down the mountain side on our way out—with a few hairpin turns—since I’d never done that before.

We’re happy to take your suggestion regarding the shower system into consideration. The 1-euro solution is actually the result of a deliberate decision:... Our campground consists of three areas with very different restroom facilities—ranging from basic to fully equipped. With the standardized 1-euro chip, we’ve tried to find a fair and straightforward solution that works for all areas. Whether this is always the best approach in terms of flexibility is open to discussion—and we sincerely welcome any ideas on how we can improve it further!
We know that other guests particularly appreciate our restroom facilities—for example, one five-star guest wrote: “Modern and clean restrooms—everything is impeccable!” That’s our standard, and we intend to uphold it in the future as well.

The owner, staff, and long-term campers are all very friendly and welcoming. A beautiful location below Nideggen Castle, right on the Rur River.NegativnoFor large trailers, the access road to the upper campsites is a bit narrow, since you have to navigate a very tight "hairpin curve" here. With our trailer (2.5 m × 7.5 m), we barely made it.A very nice, friendly campgroundThe two of us, along with our dog, stayed for 10 days from late July to early August 2026 on a comfort campsite with electricity, water, and sewer hookups in the upper section of the campground.
The ground there is quite rocky, so we recommend using flat-head Spax screws or steel stakes to secure the... awning. On the plus side, rainwater drains away very quickly without forming large puddles.
If you orient the awning toward the east, you’ll have a unique view of Nideggen Castle from the campsite.
The restroom facilities are in very good condition and were clean at all times.
There’s even a package locker in front of the washhouse, making it easy to have packages delivered directly to the campground.
We’ve never visited a campground with such a friendly atmosphere:
From the reservation, through our stay, to our departure (even though we forgot to pay the electricity bill... ;)), the owners and staff were always very friendly.
The long-term campers in our area were a particularly pleasant surprise: They were all very open-minded, friendly, and eager to chat.
There was absolutely no trace of the usual reserve toward day visitors that you often find elsewhere!
By the way, the train that runs through the campground isn’t a serious source of noise, since it honks at a few railroad crossings but not near the campground itself.
