Despite 3 counters and only 5 new arrivals in front of us, we had to wait 20 minutes. In the end, we didn't pay any less, although I announced 2 days in advance that... there would only be three of us. Online, however, we were shown a lower price when canceling and rebooking - no one could explain this to us and there is no price list on the otherwise good website, and we didn't get an invoice either, just a receipt for the site fee and €3.50 tourist tax per person per night!
The long waiting time at check-in and the non-transparent prices are the only negative things about this site, otherwise we were very satisfied with the cleanliness, night's sleep, pool (unheated, unfortunately too cold for us in October), electricity and water on site, (expensive) supermarket with lots of choice, bus stop right in front of the site: 30 min. with line 14 to the city center for €1.70 one way. Yes, the shower room could be bigger and have more than 2 hooks, but it was enough for us and our clothes stayed dry.

The site is well run and very clean. You can get everything you need in the large supermarket.
Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are a complete failure.

The city campsite in Florence is very well catered for. The campsite offers its guests a very good restaurant and a well-stocked camping supermarket. There is a large pool area to cool off in the warmer months. However,... many pitches are too small, so it is often not possible to pitch an awning in front of the caravan. On many pitches, it is not even possible to extend the awning on a motorhome.
The vehicles often have to be placed crosswise on the pitches so that the vehicles fit on the pitch.
The sanitary facilities were clean during our one-day stay. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day, even though it was Sunday.
However, the showers take some getting used to, the shower walls are made of blue frosted glass and the showers are also narrow.
In the men's showers, a third of the showers had no hooks to hang up your clothes. The soap dish is mounted very high for smaller people!
However, the location on the Arno is simply brilliant, you only have to walk about four kilometers along the river to get to the city center. We were asked for a reservation and when we said no, we were offered a pitch for two nights for 170 euros plus 14 euros tourist tax. Despite the very expensive offer, we stayed on site due to our tiredness. In the morning, I approached reception again... as I couldn't find such a high pitch price in the price list. The same employee nebulous dismissed my plea with the words that different prices apply on this weekend. We had already seen in the reviews that you should choose a pitch at the back because of the road. However, we didn't read anywhere that a barracks was directly adjacent. At 23:30 there was a trumpet solo and in the morning there was a wake-up... call. The campers were also rather carefree when it came to the peace and quiet of the neighbors. The site is very well maintained. Checking in was very straightforward given the crowds. I looked for a pitch while my wife registered us. Some of the pitches are very sloping. But no problem thanks to the air suspension and wedges (without air suspension, however, they are). There is a small market which is well stocked and where you can also buy bread rolls. There is also a bar and restaurant. There is also a fairly large swimming pool. The shuttle bus stops near the city center - but you have to walk 20 minutes to get to the city center (with public transport you can get on and off in the middle of the city).clearThe campsite makes a tidy, clean impression. At the time, we had plenty of space to choose where we wanted to camp with our car and roof tent.
The sanitary facilities are large, clean and well distributed throughout the site.
It was fun to have a kind of alarm clock in the morning (music from the loudspeaker). The... on-site bar and supermarket are also very well stocked. The on-site restaurant is also worth a visit. An inexpensive shuttle takes you comfortably to Florence and picks you up again. For the fact that the sanitary building is so new, it is very strangely laid out. One washing cubicle or four washing areas, none of which have any storage space. Two showers could certainly have been exchanged for sensible wash places.... Supermarket without fresh produce, very basic but everything you need available. The restaurant was nothing for us. You could tell from the staff that they were just guests passing through. I found it disappointing for an Italian restaurant. Reservation for 1 night worked out; sanitary facilities are still clean, except the campers just leave their garbage lying around...!!! New pool area/restaurant/shop are nearing completion. --------------May 2016: Nice, very friendly, partly German-speaking reception. Clean, modern sanitary facilities, the showers have hooks for storage. Due to the adjacent thoroughfare, it can also be noisy. Very large pitches. The old town of Florence is easily reached by bike in 4.5 km. No bread service at the CP. Wifi free of charge and works perfectly. In the nearby pizzeria (Ristorante Pizzeria Casamatta Via Aretina, 360, about 5 minutes walk) you can eat excellent, only ital. Italian menu.
