The site is conveniently located for various activities such as cycling, paragliding, swimming, SUP and hiking. The restaurant is highly recommended. You have a wonderful view of the mountains.

We only used the campsite for one night on the way home. Nevertheless, a few comments. The campsite is located at the southern end of Lac d`Annecy in the "Chaparon" district of the town of Doussard. There are other campsites in the immediate vicinity. There is an outdoor (incl. slide) and indoor swimming... pool, a bistro/bar and a small food market on site. The bread for breakfast must be ordered in advance. The sanitary facilities were clean, toilet paper and soap were available. The pitches are very large and there are no hedges or similar to separate them. In addition, as is now unfortunately common, there are a large number of mobile homes. But that's just fine. The newly built indoor pool had not yet been plastered, which somewhat spoiled the overall positive impression of the site. The reception is very friendly and accommodating (English and a little German-speaking). Absolutely TOP! The "car-free" Annecy - Doussard cycle path is not far from the campsite. The campsite is also ideal for exploring the area. There is no infrastructure worth mentioning in the town itself (1 restaurant by the lake ["very expensive"], 1 pizzeria at the "Les Fontaines" campsite [well], supermarket), which also applies - with restrictions - to Doussard and the surrounding area. So our search for dinner ended after more than an hour in Doussard at the "Sympa" pizza restaurant. And lo and behold, very friendly service and good pizzas too!

The site is conveniently located on Lac Annecy. Ideal for paragliders and hang-gliders. The landing site is only 3 km from the campsite. Depending on the pitch, beautiful view of the mountains, no view of the lake. The lake is about 800 m away on foot, nice path. Tip: The really pretty town of Annecy... should be reached by boat. The excursion boat stops about 800 m from the campsite and you can buy tickets at reduced prices at the campsite reception. Very large pitches. Frighteningly unkempt sanitary facilities, especially the toilets were disgusting and despite this condition were only cleaned once a day. Unfortunately, not every Central European can use the toilets without a toilet seat. The showers were always nice and warm, but you had to press a button every 5 seconds, which was quite annoying. Apart from the sanitary shortcomings, I can still recommend this campsite.

On the beautiful hills above Lake Annecy, in a beautiful location, close to the bike path (too bad though: it lacks direct access to the path). The campground is beautiful, with superbly maintained grounds and truly exemplary pitches. The sanitary facilities would be above average, if it weren't for... the chemical toilet emptying which is bad, uncomfortable and unhygienic, and some other shortcomings in the details. The play area is quite large and includes a soccer/basketball/volleyball court, pools with 1 toboggan, and various games. Market and bar rather sparse. Very good prices for the level of the campground, too bad they ask for payment in advance (if you book, otherwise they ask for payment the day before departure).

Beautiful and well-kept site with nice and clean toilet facilities. However, a little slow on hot water, which was otherwise plentiful. Site staff very friendly and helpful. The site had some problems with wireless internet during the stay.
