Nice place to stay in the Rioja region
A campsite with many permanent camper pitches and a number of tourist pitches. Most of these are pleasantly large, level and well laid out. The site is in a quiet location. The access road is not easy to find. The reception is friendly. The operators are helpful. Depending on the employee, communication... is sometimes difficult or almost impossible. Translators are necessary and helpful. The sanitary facilities are good and very clean. The site is located in a beautiful landscape. The short distances to many of the Rioja towns and sights open up many possibilities. Provisioning at the campsite and on site is not easy and needs to be well planned. Bread is available in the restaurant on the campsite from about 10:00 am (usually much too late for us). We chose the campsite as the end of a longer trip through Spain and Portugal. It was perfect and we would have enjoyed a longer stay in this beautiful place.

If you're looking for Halligalli, you've come to the wrong place
In the center of La Rioja - San Millan around the corner
An excellent starting point for driving through La Rioja with the UNESCO-listed Yuso Monastery nearby. The pitches are not too big, but the lush greenery gives the place the cozy charm of a garden. The people are very friendly and they serve simple local dishes. The sanitary facilities are largely OK. I felt very comfortable here - highly recommended!

Very quiet site with a large swimming pool. The sanitary facilities are spacious, but could be cleaner. The pitches are large.

Clean and well-run site in a very quiet location at the northern foot of the Sierra de la Demanda with bar, restaurant and public swimming pool; immediately north of the pilgrimage site of San Millan de la Cogolla (new and old monastery there), where Saint Millan carried out spiritual mobilization in... the marching grounds of the Spanish Reconquista. In the mountains, beautiful hiking trails across mountain pastures with goats, sheep and cattle. Good water, meat, cheese and honey. Towards the plain lots of wheat, vegetables and good Rioja wine. 16km to the north, Najera, an old royal seat and a stop on the Camino de Santiago. It's a good place to live.
