"Small, cozy campsite with direct access to the sea. - It is a small campsite that is run with a lot of love. The beach is beautiful with sand and gravel and you can also swim in the river Sele. The campsite is frequented by Germans and Italians. There is a mini market, bar and small pool. No animation. Pitches are in the shade under trees or directly by the sea in the sun. There is a very good fishing spot right where the Sele flows into the sea. The ruins of the Roman city of Paestum are also very close and well worth a visit. The manager of the campsite cooks in the evening and you can order food. Sometimes a fisherman comes to the campsite and sells his catch. We were there with our children and caravan and we really liked it. Unfortunately, there is only cold water for washing up and hot showers cost 50 cents but that's bearable. Please note that caravans are occasionally cleared out in the afternoon when you are bathing!!!

"Very good - Very nice couple with helpful children, great pitches right by the sea, simply fantastic. Pizza tastes excellent. We had great weather and were able to enjoy the sunset every evening. I can recommend it to anyone with a clear conscience.

"Dream place for relaxation and culture - I can only rate this site positively, on arrival we were greeted by Fernando and his wife with a handshake, we were allowed to choose a pitch where we wanted, even with ACSI, whenever Fernando rode across the site on his bike, he greeted us in a friendly manner, he is the boss of the site, pizza chef, advisor etc.. The campsite is a family business, Fernando also invited the campers to his nephew's birthday party, the first time I have experienced a campsite like this after 38 years of camping, we will be back when we come to this area. We wanted to stay 4 days, it turned out to be 12 days.

"Vacation with friends - Simple, beautifully situated campsite under very, very nice management. Good location for excursions into the surrounding area and the well-known sights. The sanitary facilities are simple but functional and clean. The restaurant deserves special mention. Fernando, the groundsman's wife, cooks there and the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

"Beautiful place by the sea - We were there in St preseason, so we can't rate the restaurant. The operator is exceptionally nice. Always eager to help, brings bread rolls personally to the pitch in the morning, cleaned a pitch especially for us. Permanent campers in the middle of the site. Outside space for guests. At the edge shady sea without shade. Outside the square rather run-down (neighboring square, garbage in the pine forest, ....)

Profil

La Foce dei Tramonti is a family-run campsite, an oasis of nature and conviviality where it's easy to make new friends. Located in Capaccio-Paestum, just 7 km from the archaeological site, it's directly by the sea, at the mouth of …the Sele River. We have different kind of pitches: - spacious fenced pitches, approximately 85 square meters, are well-defined with plants, hedges and fences; each has an electrical hookup and a sink with drinking water. - pitches along the riverside or directly by the seaside, with electric hookup and sinks with drinking water in a shared area. Restrooms and showers are shared, just as the free common area with a stovetop. The campsite has direct access to the sea. The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles, and each pitch is no more than 70 meters away. At the campsite, you’ll find a peaceful and comfortable environment, dedicated to nature and relaxation.

How …to find camping-side LA FOCE DEI TRAMONTI “the sunset estuary”: By Inter city train: station of Battipaglia or Paestum. By Inter regional train: station Capaccio. Naples airport: 100 Km. Coming from the South: Motorway A3: take the exit for Eboli, forward Paestum. Arrival at “Santa Cecilia” district, at the roundabout continue straight along the coast (main road 175), at the end of the road turn left, forward Paestum/Agropoli , at about 2 km after the bridge of the river Sele, turn to the right and follow the signals for the camp-site. Coming from the north: Motorway A3: take the exit for Battipaglia*, forward Paestum, arrive in the district “Santa Cecilia”, at the roundabout continue straight along the coast (main road 175), at the end of the road turn left, forward Paestum/Agropoli , at about 2 km, after the bridge of the river Sele, turn right and follow the signs for the camp-site. *If there is a queue between Salerno and Battipaglia, at the Fratte exit, take the town ring-road (tangenziale) direction for “Arechi” stadium. At the “industrial area” (area industriale) continue along the coast (main road 175), driving along the beach for 20 km.
