A good place with a beautiful view
For me, this is the best place in Orava. The view of the mountains is much better on this side of the lake.

Shopping centre about 1km away About 500m is the restaurant Ranch u Edyho, food is average. No dogs allowed in the restaurant. Possibility to rent a cottage for 4 people with equipment(fridge, kettle, cooker plus dishes,tv) price 40E per night

Fantastic location, helpful staff
Like a living room on a beach with a panoramic view of the Alps
We spent a week and a half with our four children in a caravan at Autocamping Jami and enjoyed every hour of it. The campsite is small, but that makes it cozy like a living room. The tall, shady willow trees are like palm trees on a reservoir. Remarkable is the boss, who is omnipresent and helps everyone... in everything. The drive to the mountains of the western Tatras takes about 45 minutes, but is unproblematic and extremely picturesque. The other guests were 80% Slovakian.

a great place for a holiday
We were with a two and a half year old and were very pleased with the attitude, cleanliness, quietness and facilities. The cabins are perfectly equipped and perfectly located a short walk from the water. We will definitely come again.

Proximity to the lake and beautiful views of the High Tatras
Negativno
Very noisy during the day due to all kinds of motorboats near the beach
quietplace
Unfortunately, we had the misfortune of being there at a time when the owners of the campsite were on vacation (around mid to late August 2016). There was a dog chained up in the middle of the pitch that barked all night long. Eight days and nights of horror and torture at the same time. It would have... been even worse for the animal if it hadn't been for some campsite guests taking him for a walk. The grandpa (patron) was supposed to take care of it, but he didn't and certainly not at night. The sanitary facilities were not cleaned for days. You have to pay for the pitch in advance and so we had no opportunity to leave beforehand without losing money. The positive side of the campsite is the proximity to the lake and the beautiful view of the High Tatras. When the motorboats are at rest in the evening and the dog is not causing terror and the anglers are reeling in their constantly ringing fishing rods, it is peaceful and beautiful. A great place, almost an insider tip. The operators/owners came back the day before we left. The first and unfortunately last night without dog terror and the sanitary facilities had also been cleaned. You have to press a lot of buttons in the showers so that they finally do what they are intended for. I would have preferred no high-tech showers and to remove the dog from the site. Many campers unfortunately bring their own dogs and they all encroach on his territory that he is trying to defend. (An explanation but not an excuse for the terror)

All about money
We had a spot overlooking the water but a staffmember filled a small gap with an other tent we complained but he didn't care at all. Not returning! Yes you want to make money but other field was empty but the other guest wanted close to the water as well so two motorhomes without a view shame on you!!

The energy of the place
our favorite place in Orava
Since we found out this place, in Orava lake, we go there as often as we can. Amazing staff, very very very friendly and helpful. Probably one of the most peaceful places we have been in Slovakia. The facilities are almost too good to be true, very confortable, clean and modern. You won´t be bored, because... of the number of different activities you can do either in the water or on dry land. We can rent a lot of different equipments por water sports or cycling. The place is very quiet, perfect to relax and have some adrenaline in the same day. The cherrie on the top of the cake is Maximus, the funniest, friendliest dog. We recomend it, even when it is rainning and the weather not helpful at all.

Beautifully tidy grounds and showers. Lovely grassed area, and very peaceful.

Only two showers - they're so nice you might have to wait a few minutes...
Little paradise in namestovo
This is the tidiest, cleanest campsite with the best showers I've seen in europe in more than 17 countries. The owner is very nice, and his son is an excellent translator. It is right on the lake, with no noisy traffic within earshot. Town is an easy 15 minute stroll. I came here for two nights - ended up staying for almost two weeks... Much better than across the lake - extremely noisy...

Recommended CP; extremely quiet with many water sports possibilities
Highly recommended and, at least in the early and late season, extremely quietly located campsite with an extremely friendly owner (son speaks very good English); actually an insider tip; very well equipped sanitary building; top high-tech shower; hot water also at the washbasins, all without annoying... vending machine limits or coin slot; new and beautifully furnished and attractive wooden houses for rent (see photo); the only campsite on the lake with a direct view of the Carpathians if you look towards the water; perfect opportunities for water sports; you can rent a sailing boat, motorboat or pedal boat from the campsite. Photo); the only campsite on the lake with a direct view of the Carpathians if you look towards the water; perfect opportunities for water sports; you can hire a sailing yacht, motorboats, rowing boats, pedal boats and much more (see photos); the nearest restaurant is approx. 300 meters away (horse ranch with riding facilities); the town with all shopping facilities is approx. 2 km away; value for money at approx. 17 euros/night for 2 people and camping car is fine; WLAN is still being planned;
