Very nice location; new, clean sanitary facilities
High above the lake
Some of the pitches offer guests a wonderful view of the lake and Murol Castle, but the other pitches are also beautifully laid out. Wedges are sometimes needed to level out uneven areas. There is a newly designed sanitary building and a slightly older one. The older one was closed in the low season.... The new one is well thought out, can be heated and has nice large cabins. It was always clean during our stay. You can also enjoy the view of the lake from the restaurant and its terrace. Unfortunately, we were unable to try the food as we were there shortly before the end of the season and the restaurant was already closed. However, the bread roll service in the morning still worked perfectly.

Recreation at high altitude
The site is situated at an altitude of 1040 m above Lac Chambon. I was there with my motorcycle and tent and had the tent site to myself in May. From there you have a wonderful view down to the lake and Chambon-sur-Lac. The wash house was very clean and big enough. The focus of this site seems to be... on rental accommodation. However, it is wonderful for tent campers. The meadow is great, even if there is little shade. The high altitude location was very pleasant in summer. There is a petrol station and shops in Chambon-sur-Lac.
