A Wonderful Vacation for the Whole Family
The campground is really beautiful and has been designed with a lot of care. The water park offers plenty of play options for the kids, and since it’s not too deep, you can let them splash around on their own. The sandy beach is very nice—it’s a great place to jog and go for walks. A trip to Amsterdam... isn’t too far either—the location is actually ideal. The accommodations had everything we needed, and the staff was very helpful. The kids were constantly busy, so we had some time to ourselves, which was nice for a change.

Family-Friendly Vacation
The campground is very family-friendly. The cabin was clean, and the service was excellent. This was our second time staying at this exact campground, and we would go back again and again. We’ve always had unforgettable vacations there with the kids.

Late arrival, after reception closing time, no problem. Well-kept, clearly laid out complex. Access to the beach. Water park, swimming pool, playgrounds. Bike rental uncomplicated. Very clean accommodation, functional. Good value for money.

For our personal feeling, somewhat uncomfortable beds. For a few nights ok, for a 1 or 2-week vacation to reconsider.
Great short vacation
Great, spontaneous and above all relaxed (short) vacation with our children (11,13). Late arrival at 22:00 was no problem. Communicated beforehand by e-mail and telephone (German/English), our key for the accommodation was ready and easy to find near reception. Accommodation found quickly as parking... map was included in the documents provided. Clean, well-kept accommodation (Habana Top TV 4). A little cramped, but functional. You stay outside anyway. Well-kept, clearly laid out grounds. The children loved the water park. The area for swimming and sliding was also clean and well maintained. Bike rental uncomplicated. We had e-bikes. Great bike tour to Almere, Nijkerk, Zwolle etc.

If I were a dog ... The huge dog beach alone with regular bag collection points and garbage cans was great. Very nice location on the water, separated only by the dyke.

Man ... find a great beach and full garbage cans everywhere, which are not emptied sufficiently.
A lot of things seem careless and uncoordinated.

Many repeat offenders have commented, as previous writers have done here, that things were better before CAPFUN took over. But I can neither confirm nor deny... that ... First offenders!

The general cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired and the condition of the wash houses is questionable. Despite several reminders, neither toilet paper nor soap was replenished regularly. The - far too few - showers were only cleaned in the mornings and evenings for the mass of users, MUCH too few in relation to the number of showers to people (6 showers for an estimated 400 people).

Two (yes, TWO) more showers were not opened, with various explanations. The one I found most interesting was that these two showers could only be used by paying 50 cents and that the guests didn't like that???

Complaints about this were regularly ignored.
In my opinion, the store only has a very limited selection of items available for the size of the campsite.

I would like to award negative points for the sanitary facilities ... but I can't.

... Yes, we won't be back!!!

The new water playground is great and the location right on the lake

It is very unclean. The toilet paper and soap were constantly empty. The wash houses were also taken over by spiders. Opposite us was a permanent camper with 6 constantly barking dogs. We were in the last compartment and our driveway was constantly being used to turn around. It felt like someone was driving into your living room several times a day. The only restaurant here is really expensive and doesn't offer particularly good food. It's also a shame that there isn't a single fish dish to eat for miles around, even though we are right on the water.

We had to fight our way through brambles to get to our water and electricity connection and the only restaurant here is really expensive and doesn't offer particularly good food. It's also a shame that there isn't a single dish with fish to eat, even though we are right on the water. We definitely won't be back.

The advantage is that you are welcome even with 3 dogs. The place is prepared for dog owners and everywhere you will find bag dispensers for dog poop...long dog beach with lots of space to romp, swim and enjoy...we go there several times a year

A really very well maintained place on earth...toilets and showers are always tip top clean there are charlets for rent...caravan pitches...motorhome pitches...small supermarket...harbor...everything really great...the staff is very friendly and always helpful

Terrible since takeover by Capfun
Before the Capfun chain bought the site, it was great - but that has now changed completely.
The site is still really great for dogs, but for the masters and mistresses it is sometimes an imposition.
On the one hand, it was no longer possible to select a pitch when booking, but only to add comments.... There was never a response or booking confirmation with the pitch number. Also basically no communication with the booked parties. Only requests for payment were sent immediately.
In addition, it was not communicated that there was a large fence with a gas tank on our pitch, which extremely restricted comfort and visibility. To make matters worse, we were also told to stand lengthways behind the fence, which made it impossible to use the caravan without restrictions. However, this was resolved after some discussion. But there's more...
At check-in, even after asking twice, I was given the wrong barrier card, so that I actually had to pay a €5 parking fee when I drove in with my car after reception opening hours, which I was not reimbursed for. Furthermore, the electricity was not switched on for us on the first evening. Only after dialing the emergency number of the CP could then be helped.
Then we were given the wrong shower tokens for a wash house 500m away, whereas "our" shower house was just 25m away.
The icing on the cake were the extremely dirty toilets and showers. When asked, we were told that they were cleaned 3 times a day. However, this was demonstrably not done for at least 3-4 days in a row. The cleaning crew drives up, signs the cleaning slip and sits comfortably next to the wash house and does nothing until they leave again. We observed this several times. It was only when we arrived for the long weekends that a thorough clean was carried out.
In addition, the garbage cans were emptied three days ago.

Nice time spent over Easter
The accommodation was super nice !!! The dog beach was a dream for our dogs 2 km long, seat possibility were available! Toilet at the beginning of the dog beach! Dog fence could also be borrowed 16 euros for the entire vacation! Up on the dike the dogs were allowed to run free! The surroundings very... nice !!! We would love to come back !!! We liked it very much! Except the restaurant has inflated prices but the snack bar next door is top and inexpensive and delicious 😋 But everything else was super nice !!!

Spacious site with large, level pitches, easy to reach even for large caravans or motorhomes. Sanitary facilities are clean. In high season, there is a well-stocked store with a bread roll service. Great for dog owners. Walks and bike tours can be made from the site. There are many opportunities for children. There is a boat harbor with a nice restaurant on the complex.

Alternative to the coast
The large site is divided by a dyke. On the water side are the tourist and seasonal pitches. On the other side, there are plenty of pitches for motorhomes and the "mobile homes" that are common in the Netherlands. A high visitor frequency is to be expected during the season and at weekends. Also with... the corresponding number of dogs. As dog owners, we were also surprised by this. The 1.5 km long dog beach at the end of the resort is great. There are dispensers for poop bags and garbage cans at short intervals. Fortunately, most dog owners stick to the rules and clean up after their pets.
The area generally makes a well-kept impression.
The staff are friendly and professional.
As already mentioned, the sanitary facilities are not modern, but very clean.

I liked the fact that you could take your dog with you on a lead and that there was even a beach with an area for dogs to run around. Despite the large number of dog owners, we only discovered one dog that had not been cleaned up. The location and the tips for leisure activities from reception were very helpful.

Less customer-friendly handling of complaints
Not customer-oriented and little insight into mistakes
We received a booking confirmation with information about the arrival time from 2pm.
The reception was only manned until 12pm that day, so we didn't meet anyone on arrival.
As a result, we had no access to the wash houses, toilets, shower and dishwashing area. There was only a note on the door with the... pitch number and instructions to check in the following day from 10am. For us, the first day was therefore only a WoMo pitch and not a camping pitch as contractually agreed.

The campsite operator did not agree to any price reduction for the service not provided.

We have been waiting for a written clarification of the situation with a repeated description of the same without any response from the campsite operator.

For us, this is not customer-friendly behavior. Apparently, once money has been collected, they don't want to give it back. For us, it would only have been fair to charge the first night as a motorhome pitch.

We will probably not visit this campsite again, such ignorance drives us into friendlier hands.!!!!

The noise level on the caravan site is unbearable. Construction noise every day. There is chopping, sawing and other activities that make it impossible to find peace and quiet. The owner does not react at all. Noise pollution from 8:30 - 17:00.
Great with a dog, but...

Paradise for campers with dogs
Unfortunately, the "April weather", which was accompanied on some days by a strong storm and the destruction of the awning, did not make the stay entirely positive. Nevertheless, many wonderful excursions were undertaken. Only the outdoor activities had to be carefully coordinated. The pitch is attractive... and also suitable for larger caravans/motorhomes. The shower system was initially off-putting, but ultimately proved to be very user-friendly and more economical than the coin-operated machines.
Overall, the site is very pleasant to stay on. That's why it won't be my last visit to the site.

Nice place, especially because of the very large dog beach, but quite far (many kilometers) outside the nearest towns. Unfortunately, the site is run VERY commercially. There are quite high fees for reservations and also for pitch requests! So if, for example, 2 motorhomes want to stand next to each... other, these fees even apply to both. Cancellations are VERY difficult, even in the event of illness. Even in this case there is talk of travel cancellation insurance. This means that it is VERY difficult to get your money back. We will not be traveling there again.

Good campsite with dog
This is a great campsite for all dog owners. There are poop bags at every corner, the dogs are allowed to run free on the dyke and on the dog beach and anyone who comes here without a dog will probably feel a little strange. Dogs must be kept on a lead on the site itself, except in a special free-range... area. There are two dog showers at the wash houses.

Unfortunately, there is also a maintenance backlog in some areas, including the play equipment for children. For example, there were sharp edges on the fence of a football "cage" where bars had simply been cut off, which poses a risk of injury. There is a mini-golf course where the fairways had potholes, defective edging with open screws and obviously never cleaned.

The cleanliness in the wash houses was sufficient but also no 5 star, here too you can see a certain maintenance backlog.

The pitch we were on had an electricity and fresh water connection, but this is not standard on every pitch.

There is an associated restaurant called DE JUTTER, but this does not get a recommendation, staff obviously unmotivated and overwhelmed, the associated mini golf course looks like nothing has been done there for years.

Great location - place has a slight renovation backlog
It is a huge site with pitches at the front close to the water or behind the dyke. There are a number of pitches by the water with beautiful views if there are no trees or bushes in the way. There is also a huge settlement of Dutch permanent campers behind the dyke. A paradise for dogs - with its own... dog beach. Many campers have their own dog fence around their property.... The campsite must have been in top shape in the past, but some of it seems to be in need of renovation. The sanitary facilities are small and the washing up is done right next to the toilet :-( It was very annoying that the superbly located restaurant was not currently open. There was only a better chip shop.... Long distances from the water in front to the reception, e.g. to get bread, is almost like walking .-) The car must not be parked at the caravan, but must be parked in one of the parking lots.

too nice a pitch to leave again in case of shortcomings
We were there for 14 days. We had a wonderful pitch right by the water (101 Rietstrand) with free access to it. The water is only knee-deep for ages, so we didn't have to worry about the children, who can't really swim yet, it was relaxing, but there was a lot of algae in the water, which got in the... way of swimming. If you're looking for real peace and quiet with quiet times, you're not in good hands there overall. There was a youth camp further back in the first week that had fun - partying from midday until deep into the night, running loudly across the pitch and looking for Georg.... also the motorized water sports enthusiasts whizzing past are always very active, or the dogs romping around. You need a "thick skin" - we had that;-) On the subject of dogs - we have never spent such a relaxed vacation with them, we had both of them with us and were outnumbered. Many have 3 or more. You can rent a dog fence at reception, which is great. There are very nice opportunities to run and romp with the four-legged friends and what we found the best, there is a dog beach but also on the other sections they are allowed in the water without it being forbidden!!!!There is no such thing here in Germany;-)There are plenty of dog waste bags and disposal options for these. Let's move on to our daily "disposal" .... where the dogs have a head start on us. The toilet is equipped with a sepkey, as are the showers. The key has a credit for showering on it and you have to put it in while you shower right next to the tap. What we found a bit strange and what really bothered us was that it is a sanitary building with a main entrance. At the front you do your dishes and are then confronted with farting, smells and other toilet noises from the right and left, because there is NO intermediate door - i.e. men go to the right into the toilets and women to the left...no DOOR in between, everything is open. For example, one woman let the man do the washing up and talked to him loudly while she herself did her business in the toilet, farting. That's not my thing, I have to say:-( We didn't wash up there either when we saw that others were washing their fingers there after going to the toilet*Oops* Some people will say "it's just camping".... I prefer "glamping";-)The showers and toilets were also too small in relation to the number of campers, with three in number and only two cabins for men. Unfortunately, they were not very clean at times. Approx. 60 pitches share a sanitary building with 3 people per pitch, that's already 180 people sharing 5 cabins.... so really much too few - you shouldn't get diarrhea!!!! The site is very large and wide..... i.e. a bike is helpful if you want to get bread rolls from reception (10 minutes one way). You can also rent some, but none for children anymore, which is outdated, as well as only canoes and pedal boats, nothing else that is still in the brochure. Our children were happy about the free W-Lan network, because unfortunately they didn't like the animation, which was due to the fact that the program was only in Dutch, including the posters with the instructions, and they didn't understand anything. Some of the activities looked really nice. The children's playgrounds were also all very far away, so our children were not allowed to go there on their own! When booking, it was great that you could book the pitch directly. It wasn't great for us on the day of departure, unfortunately it was raining for the first time after the bull heat and we had to be down by 12 no problem BUT at 10 o'clock the "NEW" people were suddenly standing there and then sat on our necks because they wanted to get on our pitch and spread out - something like that doesn't work at all and is a complete mistake in planning, it really annoyed us so much that we packed up our wet awning and left in a huff. For water sports enthusiasts: in Zeewolde there is boattogo- you can rent a variety of boats by the day. It's great fun;-)
