The campground was perfect for that—it was very dark at night, and we could see a huge number of stars (and shooting stars).
During the day, despite the heat, it was easy to handle thanks to the many shaded spots, and cooling off was no problem at all thanks to the nearby outdoor pool.

It was tidy and clean with shadow-spending trees, a playground and the clean facilities. The owner takes care about the guests and the nearby pool is fantastic.

There are also good restaurants in the area and the town of Dingolfing is not far away. The newly renovated leisure pool / outdoor pool, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes and also has a lot to offer for children.MinusuriEverything a camping vacation needs is offered here. I can't see any disadvantages.Very well located campsite. Everything available, what you need. FriendlyBeautifully situated campsite with many leisure activities. In the immediate vicinity there is a newly renovated and modern outdoor pool with slides and many other possibilities for young and old. Not far away is the large Steinberger See with beautiful sunsets. It never gets boring here. If you like... sports you are of course in the right place . from jogging by the lake to cycling or inline skating or even water sports , here is much possible .
There are several Bavarian inns in the area.

Ideal both for those passing through and for a longer stay. The pitches are generously sized and offer plenty of space to feel at home. My children were very disgusted in the toilets. We didn't use the showers at all. Something urgently needs to be done here. Not just renovation but also in terms of the state of cleaning. Otherwise, there's not much else on offer in the surrounding area. The swimming pool is also currently closed for renovation and the lake wasn't really inviting for a swim. No shopping facilities on site or nearby. Also no bread service on site. Too badGoes like thisClearly investments need to be made here to keep the place going. Sanitary area really horrible...

The site is clean, showers and toilets are wonderful. Not a star campsite, but that's not what it's supposed to be.
Outdoor pool around the corner, lake within walking distance with a small snack bar. All around, great for cycling with children,... who are also allowed to run around on the site.
Nothing for shopping or eating out nearby, but even that can be reached by bike in 15 minutes.

The lake is not, as one might expect, connected to the campsite. Therefore the name "am See" is misleading and only remotely correct.
