Not recommended with a dog, sanitary facilities horrible. Staff unfriendly. The lake is actually a carp pond a really horrible brown soup

The operators are overwhelmed, no plan, there is a wannabe security person running around and tells every dog owner that the dog belongs on a leash 24 hours a day. The dog bathing area is a joke and the medical center was never cleaned all day, so it was really dirty.

A dream
A dream pitch. It's a good thing we rented it as a permanent pitch. We are in Geras almost every weekend. We use the pond a lot for swimming and the pizzeria next door. The children's playground is very well equipped. The operators always have an open ear and are not too shy to lend a hand when something... needs doing or helping. Even if someone has forgotten to bring their own wheel chocks, they will organize something.
The best thing, however, is the private bathing jetty on site where I can also swim with my water rat (dog).
Very good contact with the other campers, whether day guests or permanent campers. Sanitary area always clean and plenty of hot water always available. A baker comes to the site 4 times a week with a huge selection. Every 2nd Sunday there's a local market which we never miss for fresh food from the region.
I can only recommend it to everyone to spend a vacation. There is also a rental caravan and a rental room.
A tip. Go alpaca walking 4 km away in Harth🦙

A very quiet campsite maintained with love
For us, one of the most beautiful and quiet campsites. Wonderful for relaxing, with wonderful nature and hiking trails all around. The national park is less than 1 km away. The pitches are very well maintained and there is even a brand new dog jetty by the lake.
There is a large playground and separate... bathing area for children.
There is also a small pizzeria with a view of the lake.
The most important thing: the new operators are very nice, always friendly and very helpful.
We will come back again and again and already have our regular spot. It's well worth a visit. There is much more, come and discover for yourself.
