Excellent restrooms, and warm, attentive service from the owners at this truly family-friendly campground. Sites shaded by pine trees—perfect for lunch, in short.... Well-located for various sightseeing trips and excursions on foot, by bike, or by motorcycle. Fresh bread and delicious pastries available. Party-goers need not apply, as the owner ensures a peaceful atmosphere with her gentle yet natural authority… I can’t wait to come back… Well done!

Great!

We had a wonderful vacation at Fontisson Campground! The chalets and campground are well-maintained. There are also plenty of shaded areas and lounge chairs by the pool. The location is ideal for various day trips, and there’s plenty to see in this region!

We had a wonderful stay at this campground. The owners are super friendly and very pleasant. The restrooms are very clean, which isn't always the case at some campgrounds. It's a family-friendly campground that we really love. I recommend this campground.

We are delighted with our stay in this beautiful region, and we will definitely be back. We received a very warm welcome at the Fontisson campground. You can tell that the owners are committed to making sure everything runs smoothly at their campground—where you can’t just do whatever you want—and that’s reassuring. They’re attentive to guests’ requests and very understanding. The pool is magnificent and well-maintained; the maintenance staff is friendly. All the shops are nearby in the village.

Châteauneuf de Gadagne is in a great location. It's about half an hour—sometimes less—from all the beautiful places worth seeing. We had a wonderful, very pleasant week.

Spacious and nice and quiet

Better lighting on the way to the restrooms at night

We stopped here for two nights as a quick layover with our RV. The campground was really great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant and around the campground in the evenings. The restroom facilities were clean and well-maintained.

Lovely site and staff

We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and they made us feel that way throughout our entire stay (17 nights). We had a site with private bathroom facilities—that was great!! A more than adequate shower, toilet, place to do the dishes, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. The campground is small-scale and doesn’t offer an excessive amount of entertainment or anything like that. However, Blandine, Eric, and Bruno do everything they can to make it a fun experience during peak season. This includes a mini-market, a music night, and grilled chicken to take home on welcome night. And there’s a lovely pool to cool off in.

One small issue we noticed: the trees and hedges aren’t maintained very well. From our spot, we could look out over the vineyard, but the hedge was a bit too tall to see over. Also, there were trees at our spot (we knew that), but the branches were scraping against the RV and the awning. We didn’t really like that. To get to the pool, you have to walk under a tree and along a hedge; you have to duck under the tree, and the hedge had quite a few protrusions that you kept bumping into. That’s the only thing I’d say could be improved.

After not coming for two visits, I was thrilled to see Blandine, Bruno, and Eric again—they’re still just as kind and attentive to their guests as ever. The campground has changed a lot, too! The activities offered throughout the week really set a nice pace for campground life! Having fresh bread and pastries is really great, as is grabbing a drink at the bar. It’s a beautiful place to relax and recharge—everything is peaceful, and the facilities are always clean. My daughter loved using the kids’ shower, playing the games, and borrowing a few books and board games from the front desk! Thank you!!

Aside from the staircase, which caused us a few headaches, there's nothing negative to say about this wonderful campground.

Very welcoming, a cozy campground with a human scale, and sites close to various amenities. A pleasant and quiet atmosphere

A few more trash cans along the path would have been nice. And it would be great if the wading pool could stay filled with water too—even if that’s beyond everyone’s control...

A quiet, idyllic, family-friendly, and clean campground. Everyone is very friendly, and the food at the restaurant was excellent.

A warm welcome—the owners are attentive and offer great advice on exploring the area. The campground is quiet, but there are still activities for those who want them, without disturbing campers who prefer to keep to themselves. The pool is a good size and clean, too. Kudos to the team!

Great, friendly, and neat

We had a very pleasant stay at the Fontisson campground. It’s very quiet, very well-maintained, and has a beautiful pool. The staff is warm and welcoming—we felt right at home at the Fontisson campground! So much so that we extended our stay. It’s ideally located for exploring the region. It’s great to be able to grab a drink, have some ice cream, or grab dinner in the evening. We’ll have to stock up on ice cream and waffles again—our daughters ate it all! Thank you to Blandine, Eric, and Bruno for your hospitality.

A pleasant, clean, and quiet campground. The activities for kids are great. The staff is very welcoming. Thank you.
