Really nice and clean
First, the negative: We were just passing through and HAD to book two nights, even though we only stayed one night. That was about €50 down the drain. Very annoying. The positives: Super friendly welcome, good campsite, clean and plentiful restroom facilities, central location at the Deutsches Eck with convenient ways to reach the Old Town (ferry/taxi).

Absolutely not recommended
The campsite on the shore was beautiful. Unfortunately, that’s the only positive thing I can say. The distance to the nearest water source meant that the only way to fill the water tank was with a watering can. The circuit breaker kept tripping—but none of that would have been such a big deal on its... own if at least the restrooms had been clean. The cleaning cart, which seemed to be parked there every now and then more as a token gesture, contained cleaning supplies that hadn’t been used in quite some time; the entire cart was filthy (as evidenced by photos!). The trash cans in the restrooms were emptied only sporadically and were, in some cases, overflowing. The floor wasn’t cleaned or swept either; the same dead insects and cobwebs were a constant presence during my 4-day stay—and no, they weren’t new ones.The area for emptying chemical toilets in the entrance hall hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time either. Cobwebs and the like were everywhere. At this point, it can no longer be excused with arguments like “it’s nature” or “we’re outdoors.” Bottom line… the price is absolutely unreasonable, and we’ll definitely never return to Knaus Campingpark Koblenz. We seriously wonder if we were at the same campground as the people who rave about the restroom facilities in their reviews.

Weekend Trip to the Moselle
Overall, the site doesn’t make a good impression. The shore power connection is too far from the parking spot (more than 25 m). The water tap looked like a watering hole in the Serengeti that was about to dry up. The restroom facilities weren’t cleaned regularly. Furthermore, they urgently need to be... renovated. (Broken faucets) The available Wi-Fi network was simply too weak, so we couldn’t connect. The trash disposal area didn’t look very organized and detracts from the overall appearance. The restaurant was good—when it was actually open. The service was very friendly. Conclusion: The view is beautiful! The campground has room for improvement!

Weekend Camping
We received a very warm welcome both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The food was simply delicious. The campground is in a beautiful location; with the Liesel, you can get to the Deutsches Eck in no time. The only thing is that the restrooms could have been a little cleaner—there are more spiders than campers.

Great place in a great location
We had a really wonderful guys’ camping weekend at this campground, which is ideally located in Koblenz. The staff was very warm, accommodating, and friendly. It was a lot of fun!!!
The campground is also beautifully situated, and the access to the campsites is good and not too narrow.
It’s conveniently... located for getting into the city center. Even the ride back by taxi is reasonably priced.
The restrooms are fine and generally clean—the cleaning staff can’t be blamed for any mess left by a previous guest.
I’d love to come back!!!

Good with potential
I received a warm welcome along with lots of helpful tips for my stay. The electrical outlet at my site was quite far away. I was given an extension cord at the front desk. The restrooms were quite clean—though, of course, the people using them play a big part in that. What wasn’t so great was that,... throughout my stay, the trash cans were constantly overflowing with trash. Overall, it was a nice stay, even though there’s still plenty of room for improvement at the campground. Would I come back? Absolutely!

A Visit to the Festival in Koblenz
We booked two nights in the back section of the campground. It was a bit more expensive, but it was totally worth it. Here’s a tip: book early to snag a spot right on the shore.
The orientation for the campground was great—everything was explained clearly and concisely, very easy to understand and informative,... all spiced up with some Rhineland humor.
The washhouse and restrooms were clean.
Access to the campground is currently a bit restricted due to construction. It’s not the campground’s fault, but I just wanted to mention it.
From the campground, you have a beautiful view of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the Rhine. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the old town, or 5 minutes if the ferry is running.
I’d book this campground again anytime and would definitely recommend it to others.

This time, it was a disaster
This was our third or fourth time staying with you. This time, we were completely dissatisfied. The spot by the water was small, dirty, and, frankly, an outrage given the price charged. Right in the middle of our already very small spot was the power pole serving all the surrounding spots. Directly across... from it is the makeshift container serving as a washroom. And for this “stylish” ambiance, you’re charged the highest price as a “prime spot” 🙃.
We were at the campground specifically to take the ferry to Koblenz’s old town. After checking in, we were told that the ferry wasn’t running today (Thursday) 😡. In short, it was clear to us that we’ll never be coming back.

Koblenz Campground at the Deutsches Eck
We got our online-booked lakeside campsite in the first row, so we had a prime location and a view of Ehrenbreitstein Castle, the monument, and the Rhine with its boat traffic. The campsites are on the lawn, and we had plenty of space for a table and chairs. However, we sat by the fence—that is, at the... front behind our car—to get a view of the sights. There was no hot water in the first restroom block, but there was in the second one further back. Since we only used the restroom, it didn’t bother us. The fresh water and waste disposal station was fine. We felt comfortable there for two days. There’s a bistro on the grounds, and a Netto supermarket is about 500 meters away. It’s about a 10-minute bike ride to the historic old town, which is well worth seeing.

Overall, the campground is very nice, and the restroom facilities are clean and well-maintained.

We had a campsite right on the shore. However, it was very rutted and mostly unpaved. There was grass only along the fence. Without a groundsheet or an outdoor rug, it gets very dirty very quickly when it’s wet and muddy.
The location is great; the small ferry takes you quickly to the other side of the river and thus into town.

Great, shady spot with a fantastic view
Absolutely beautiful spots practically right on the water. We really enjoyed it. Three nights were perfect for exploring the city and the fortress while still having plenty of time to relax. I especially liked the customer-focused service at check-in: I was able to easily switch spots to be closer to... my girlfriend. Awesome! It would be great if there were also an exit at the back, but that’s not really a criticism—just a nice-to-have. On the other hand, you feel very sheltered, especially in the back area—so everything has its advantages 😉.

I'd love to do it again
A beautifully situated campground. Check-in went smoothly and the staff was incredibly friendly. The old town of Koblenz is easily accessible by the small ferry.
The campground has a small restaurant with friendly service and good food.
