The CP site is right by the sea. The pitches are spacious and the sanitary facilities are modern and always clean and well maintained. The family who run the campsite are very friendly, extremely helpful and... obliging.
The site has everything you could wish for as a camper: a store, restaurant and other amenities such as a lounge, kitchen with hotplates, etc. and, last but not least, peace and quiet.

There is a small sauna, a spa (whirlpool bath), a heated outdoor pool, several playgrounds, restaurant, market, horses, petting animals, MonoCars, activity hall for bad weather with playstations,... ball pool, gym, viewing room, teen room and much more. We felt very comfortable. The site is quite centrally located on the "Danish mainland" and is a good starting point for excursions. However, you should be aware that - unless you love nature (e.g. by cycling) or are a water sports enthusiast - it usually takes at least 30-45 minutes to get to tourist activities. Example: Legoland: 2 hours, Skagen - 1 1/2 hours, Marianger 30 minutes. As we were there in the low season, the site was very empty and deserted except for a few days. In the high season, the large site (a good 1000m long) is certainly really busy. The nearby town was also pretty "deserted" during the week and only lively at the weekend. The market on the square is unfortunately a bit expensive - which is of course even more significant in relation to the cost of living in Denmark. A bread roll (Rundstykken) should cost 5 DKK (approx. 65 cents). That's why we switched to bread rolls from Aldi, which we baked in our kettle grill. In the nearby town of "Oster Hurup" there are 2 supermarkets and everything the tourist heart desires. A little further on - highly recommended - Super Best - you can really find EVERYTHING here. In Hadsund (approx. 20 km) there is an Aldi with a similar range to that in Germany. It is important to spend a lot of time choosing your pitch in advance. Would you prefer to be "at the back" and have a little more "peace and quiet" - or would you rather be in the center ... All pitches are quite close to the water - but the best are those directly behind the dune. You can hear the sound of the Baltic Sea (Kattegat) at night. The site is certainly one of the best we have seen so far (and apart from our active camping time with our own camper van, we have already gained experience with rented camper vans and our parents).
