"Beautifully situated nature campsite - We think it's a great place to spend a few relaxing days. It's worth having a sup or boat with you. The surrounding area is great for exploring by bike or on foot.

"Great pitches - I've never experienced such large pitches on a campsite before, simply fantastic! You're on your own, if you're lucky you get a pitch right on the banks of the Vechte and experience pure nature.

"Naturnaher Campingplatz - Wir haben die heißen Tage genutzt um nochmal weg zufahren mit unserem Hund. Der Platz war super geeignet. es gibt viele schattige Plätze und Möglichkeiten in der Vechte zu baden. Ommen ist ein schöner Ort und auch die Stadt Zwolle ist gut erreichbar.

"It's a super nice place, we've been going there for years - We have been going to the campsite with several families for years, with children from one year to 18 years. There's something for every age group on the site, whether it's one of the many playgrounds or canoeing on the Vechte. The pitches are very large and you can really relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

"Summer vacation 2017 - A very nice campsite situated on the river Vechte. Positives: Large pitches Many children's playgrounds Swimming for young and old Lots of nature City close to the city of Ommen approx. 5 kilometers No annoying animation No dogs No cars on the pitches Great mini-market Large shower cubicles you can take 2 children inside Bicycle rental (good bicycles no scrap) Unfortunately there are also negatives: Too few toilets and showers (during the summer vacations) Cleanliness of the washrooms No children's washbasins No children's WCs

"Our favorite campsite - This is the third year we have spent a camping vacation at Camping de Roos, the first year as a couple, the next two years together with our three children. The great thing about this campsite is the beautiful location and the incredibly spacious pitches. Although we were there at a time when the campsite was fully booked, we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet and the lovely atmosphere. The pitches are very different in their characteristics. You can choose a pitch on one of the large meadows, you can stand right next to the river or on a dead side arm. Alternatively, there are pitches in the forest or somewhat isolated pitches surrounded by flowering plants. Younger children can play in the playgrounds or on the children's beach, while older children can play soccer or baseball, go fishing or swimming in the Vechte. A number of hiking trails lead across and past the campsite. You can also go on beautiful cycle tours in the surrounding area. The campsite's homepage lists a number of excursion destinations. We tried some of them and were always satisfied.

CAMPING DE ROOS (27 ha.) is a spaciously designed nature campsite in an area of outstanding natural beauty set against the backdrop of the gently rolling river dune landscape of the Vecht river in the Dutch province of Overijssel. This …singular landscape, which can scarcely be found in the Netherlands these days, is comprised of sand dunes overgrown with blackthorn, hawthorn and imposing old oak trees. The campsite is not only situated on the shores of the Vecht, but a river tributary also runs right through the property. This combination makes Camping De Roos unparalleled in the Netherlands. In addition to the beautiful location, the wide variety of spacious (120-150m²), naturally-situated camping pitches is remarkable. There is literally enough space for nature and for all the campers to coexist. At Camping De Roos, relaxed camping in a harmonious atmosphere is still possible. The calming ambience that reigns over the campsite is enjoyed all over the grounds and is the result of the unique combination of the lovely landscape, the balanced incorporation of the facilities, the carefully selected activities, and, last but not least, the guests of Camping De Roos. It is not everyday that man and nature can exist together so happily. It is unique experience - come and be enchanted.
