Better than expected
Last year was our first time at the Südhörn site in Tinnum. Intuitively, of course, Kampen/Wenningstedt was our first choice because the location is more exposed. Westerland and Rantum have less interesting campsites from the outside. And Südhörn was free. So we (fortunately) ended up there for the first... time and enjoyed a better vacation than we had expected. The site is carefully managed, everything is clean and easily accessible. Of course, you have to cycle 10 minutes to the beach if you want to go into the surf. But the shops are really just around the corner. And the farmer plows his fields next door. And, importantly for Sylt, the costs for accommodation are incredibly cheap. Of course, there is no children's entertainment, evening program, funfair, etc., as you would expect from the Adriatic or Denmark. So, if you know what you want, you're in good hands here.

Good location, very clean, friendly staff
A small, centrally located campsite with pitches for caravans and motorhomes. There is also a meadow for tents. The pitches are clean and have water and drainage connections. The ground is covered with a well-kept lawn. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained and in perfect condition. The buildings... are a little older. Unfortunately you can see that. The beach of Westerland can be reached in 15 minutes by bike. Cycle paths lead from the site in all directions of the island. Ideal for cyclists. The car can stay on site. Good shopping facilities. The site is ideal for relaxing due to its quiet location. The playground for children is modestly equipped.

Clean, friendly, perfect location for island excursions
Super campsite!
The site has everything you REALLY need: clean sanitary facilities, a mini-kiosk for fresh bread rolls in the morning etc., a great restaurant ("Janke's") and above all peace and quiet to relax... Drinking water and electricity at every pitch... and a great location!

Platz is centrally located on the island. From there you can quickly get to all places on the island. Toilets were often only cleaned thoroughly once every 24 hours. Otherwise there was little going on on the pitch.

Super place
Campsite with very friendly and helpful staff. Sanitary facilities very clean. Separate shower/WC for people with disabilities. Reasonably priced snack bar on site. Centrally located for cycling tours.

Small, fine campsite
Small campsite with very friendly and helpful staff. One or two things could be renewed, but you can't have everything. Sanitary facilities very clean. Reasonably priced snack bar on site. It's not far to Westerland, Morsum or Keitum by bike.

Super place . Very quiet. Clean and well-kept sanitary facilities. Very helpful and friendly operators. Were there for the second time, certainly not the last time.

Due to the central location very suitable for bicycle tours in "all directions". Definitely recommended. Only surpassed by the campsite in Kampen.

Very quiet location in the middle of fields. Everything is within walking distance. The good thing is that the site is open all year round.
