Simply driving past and hoping for a parking space doesn't work - at least in September during the grape harvest. The site (and other sites) is fully booked at this time. Everything is super organized and the good soul from Cologne at the reception has everything under control! The pitches are good,... sometimes a bit small, but you can book that in advance. The sanitary facilities were always clean, even in high season, and there were plenty of them. The visitor's tax gives you a free bus and train ticket for Lake Constance.
