Simply driving past and hoping for a parking space doesn't work - at least in September during the grape harvest. The site (and other sites) is fully booked at this time. And yes, the traffic jams in Hagnau.... But that didn't bother us at all, as we had simply planned our arrival and departure accordingly. Everything is super organized and the good soul from Cologne at the reception has everything under control! The pitches are good,... sometimes a bit small, but you can book that in advance. The sanitary facilities were always clean, even in high season, and there were plenty of them. The lake is only a few meters away and the water was great. The sanitary facilities were very clean and adequate in size. We also had really great neighbors, some of whom have been... going to this campsite for years. The cycle paths are great, you can get everywhere easily. Very good connections by boat to all destinations in the town. Hagnau is only 600 m away. There you will find everything a camper needs, bakery, cafes, supermarket, wine shop etc.... You can order breakfast pastries (bread rolls) in the campsite restaurant.
The visitor's tax gives you a free bus and train ticket for Lake Constance.
