Great location, with a beautiful view over the Achensee

Beautiful campsite with a great view of the lake. Super many excursion destinations possible directly from the site, whether great hiking routes, great cycle path directly around the Achensee. The sanitary facilities were always clean. The playground was the absolute highlight for our kids. Restaurants in the area were also highly recommended. All in all, a lovely place for families with children.

We booked a specific comfort pitch with a lake view 1 year in advance, because I spent my birthday here. On arrival we were then informed that they had given our reserved pitch to someone else, as someone else had spontaneously arrived for one night yesterday and he had extended his stay by another night..... Of course, the mood was in the basement, as I had booked a year in advance.... The alternative pitch was okay, but there was no comfort, i.e. no waste water etc... The only thing we could negotiate was a late check out on departure, but that was it. that was it.... In any case, better attention should be paid to this at reception. Spontaneous arrivals without a reservation now have to take second place here and get a place further back... Moreover, the place was half empty in mid-September!!!

Large comfort pitch. Very clean sanitary facilities. A cleaning lady is always on duty. Good restaurant and the small store with its breakfast delicacies is also very good. Everyone is accompanied to their pitch on arrival.

Very good location on the lake, facilities on the pitch leave nothing to be desired. The comfort pitches offer fresh, gray and black water directly at the pitch. Wash house, store and restaurant very modern and well maintained, all staff friendly and courteous. Very well organized, there is a check-in machine. Allocation of pitches on arrival. You can have a great vacation here!

Card payment in the store only from 30€, that may have its reasons, but nobody wants to see it in 2025...

The surroundings and the lake are beautiful. You can go on great hiking tours and swim in the lake or paddle a SUP. The staff at the campsite were friendly. The public lake area and playground are beautifully designed.

The two of us booked a "comfort pitch" for 80 euros including electricity. We were given a very small gravel pitch. The sanitary facilities were constantly dirty. Tufts of hair everywhere. Defective lights, hooks and washbasins. The public bathing establishment also used these facilities. The site was also completely overcrowded. Campers were even accommodated on access roads. There were no minimum distances. The site is an outrage. You get little or nothing for your money. We will never go there again.

There's nothing

We liked the spacious pitch right in front of the lake. And of course the variety on the site, that there is an extra playground with a water level and climbing facilities for the little ones. water level and climbing facilities for the little ones. And of course the nice restaurant with lots of delicious food. That there is a campsite but also an extra place for those who only come for one night. And best of all, the excursion places are all within cycling distance. A boat that stops almost directly nearby for an excursion on the Achensee. Super nice groundsman who always has a smile on his face, even though it's really full most of the time. It was so great that my husband surprised me and booked for next year. At most, because the place belongs to the municipality, normal bathers are allowed to use the beach and even the toilets, which sometimes leads to waiting times. That is not so pleasant.

The whole place is very well maintained, the staff is very nice and helpful. The location is very nice, everything is easy to reach by public transport. Whether on foot or by bike, everything is easy to see. We would love to come back.
