THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME HERE. THE SITES WITH PRIVATE BATHROOM FACILITIES WERE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL; THE SITES WERE VERY LARGE, PARTLY COVERED WITH GRAVEL AND PARTLY PAVED. OVERALL, THE SITE MADE A VERY WELL-MAINTAINED IMPRESSION, AND THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. WE WERE TOTALLY IMPRESSED BY OUR SANITARY... FACILITY—IT WAS QUITE LARGE AND VERY CLEAN. THERE WAS EVEN A HAMMOCK ON THE PITCH. WE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE. THE LARGE SANITARY FACILITY ON THE SITE ALSO MADE A VERY GOOD, MODERN, AND CLEAN IMPRESSION. WE WOULD HAVE LOVED TO STAY LONGER, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE WEATHER WAS GREAT. WE CAN DEFINITELY IMAGINE VISITING AGAIN NEXT YEAR. We also would have liked to try the pizzeria on the grounds. Unfortunately, it was closed due to illness.

Spacious campsites, private restroom facilities at many sites. Very well-maintained Beautiful bike paths in all directions. Close to Sassenberg, which has several supermarkets and a great ice cream shop.

Great Campground
We really liked the campground. Everything is very clean and beautifully landscaped. It feels like you’re at a campground in the south, with lots of palm trees and other tropical plants. The campsites are large—some even very large. Many sites have their own bathroom facilities. While they aren’t very... large, they’re sufficient, featuring a shower, sink with mirror and cabinet, hair dryer, and toilet. In front of the bathroom facilities is a nice, large sink with plenty of counter space. The campsite has a lovely patio, a lawn, and the parking area is covered with gravel.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the morning, they serve fresh rolls, which you have to order the day before.
We can definitely recommend this campground and will certainly visit it again.
The only downside was that the restaurant was closed due to illness. But that’s not the campground’s fault.
However, about 300–400 meters away, we had a very good meal at the Silberfuchs restaurant.
There’s a large playground for children.

We stayed in the Spa Deluxe and really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna right at our site! Spending the evenings on the covered terrace that comes with it was absolutely wonderful 👍 The private bathroom was very clean 👍—a big thank you to the cleaning staff!🙏 Lying in the hammock and enjoying the peace and quiet is just so relaxing!

Unfortunately, the sites offer absolutely no privacy from the sauna, the hot tub, or the patio. We were able to position our RV and car so that we couldn’t be seen, but we felt very much on display on the patio. The fact that caravan owners can also enjoy their time at these sites was the topic of “campsite chatter” (we were asked about it), which is a real shame! One suggestion we have is to perhaps mention this on the website—then maybe it wouldn’t be such a big deal among RV travelers 🤷‍♀️

A dream come true for peace and relaxation
My wife and I were only there for a weekend, but as soon as we arrived, we immediately felt a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. The front desk was staffed by very friendly employees who gave us a warm welcome and were able to answer all our questions. We had a lovely campsite with a private bathroom, which was very clean and comfortable. We’d definitely love to come back.

Everything was clean and tidy; the restrooms were excellent. You could walk around the campground with your dog. There's also a gate if you want to take a shortcut.
Negative ting
No quiet time at noon. Drivers aren't sticking to the speed limit, putting the children at risk… Not enough trash cans and dog waste bag dispensers.

We had the “problem” that our neighbor, who was already there and had set up camp when we arrived, took up a little more space than he was entitled to. We then had to set up in a different spot than we were told to, which meant we had a little less space. But that has nothing to do with the campsite itself—just with people who don’t follow the rules 😉

A fantastic place where you're sure to feel right at home
We were absolutely thrilled with this campground! A real highlight is the option to book your own separate shower facility right on-site—including a separate dishwashing station. This offers tremendous comfort and privacy.

The campsite itself is also thoughtfully designed: thanks to the clean gravel... and stone surface, the camper sits perfectly, and the paved area in front means you don’t have to lay out a rug at all. No dirt, no hassle—just arrive and enjoy.

I spent a week in the tiny house with a spa area and enjoyed every single day. Everything was there, and it was very spacious—nothing was missing. I booked the towel package as well, and it was more than enough. I received a warm welcome there; after picking up the keys, I was given a little sign pointing... the way to the tiny house, where I was able to park my car right away....I unpacked, felt right at home, and relaxed—I’ll definitely come back and stay a few days longer.

A super comfortable spot
Arrive and feel right at home. No stress, just a friendly welcome. The safari tent was wonderfully equipped—the kids loved it, and as parents, we could look out from the porch directly onto the playground.
Although we had our own bathroom facilities in the tent, we still checked out the others—they... were spotless!
We did miss having a bit more of a kids’ program during our vacation, and we also had to buy the basics for camping life in the nearest town.
I don’t want to question the quality of the laundry facility at all, but €12.50 for one load of laundry is just too expensive!
The campground’s value for money was okay for us during peak season. There’s plenty to do in the area, so we’d be happy to come back.

A wonderful short vacation with the kids and the dog
We ended up going there based on a recommendation from a family of campers who make really great shorts and had raved about this spot, and I have to say we weren’t disappointed—the kids absolutely loved it. We really only saw them when they were eating and drinking; the place is beautifully laid out.... We’ll definitely go back next year and spend a longerbreak. This video really helped us find a lovely spot like this on such short notice. A heartfelt thank you to the campground staff, who were always very friendly and helpful. The great bread roll service is also worth mentioning. We’re already looking forward to our next vacation with you. Warm regards from the Franconian Rhön.

The food truck at the playground is only open on weekends—even during school breaks—but the pizza in the driveway was great; it was just that the staff seemed a little overwhelmed that evening.

We didn't find anything :-))) Just the mess left behind in the women's restroom or in the shower, but the campground operators aren't to blame for that. It was cleaned thoroughly and regularly, and it’s hard to understand why some people aren’t able to leave things as clean as they found them .
