The kids had a lot of fun at the water park and on the playgrounds. It was especially great that we could still use the water park even when the weather wasn't so good—that's really rare.
Negative ting
The swimming pool lacked changing rooms, and there weren't nearly enough restrooms. It would be really easy to build a few changing rooms here, and it should also be possible to buy snacks and drinks by the pool.
A Great Getaway

Despite there being so many kids, the houses were absolutely quiet, perfect for a restful night’s sleep.

The... only thing we would have liked at the pool was a snack bar open every day for drinks and snacks, as well as changing rooms. After swimming, it was difficult to get changed before heading back to the cottages. A few portable changing rooms would solve this problem.

A Fun Vacation for Kids
It was a great vacation. We liked the accommodations, the playgrounds were nice, and the water park with the slides was totally cool.

However, the information could be a little easier to find. The same goes for the entertainment schedule—it would be nice if that were available online as well.

A wonderful vacation spot
A lovely campground at an affordable price. The surroundings are beautiful, and there are plenty of fun and engaging activities for children. The pools and water slides offer lots of fun. There are also indoor and outdoor play areas for children all around the campground, so families can have fun together and spend time with each other even outside the pool area.

The kids' entertainment is simply great and varied. Good food at the restaurant at reasonable prices. The accommodations are well-equipped and clean. The location is great and perfect for relaxing. Shopping options outside the campground are a 10- to 20-minute drive away.

A Great Vacation at Camping Ijsselstrand
As always, we enjoyed our vacation; the kids had fun at the playgrounds, the indoor play area, and with the entertainment activities. The whole area was beautiful, too :). The mobile homes are clean and well-maintained. The water in the pool was pleasant, and the slides were fun!

A really beautiful and clean park. There are lots of playgrounds and a large indoor playground. There are also playgrounds scattered all over between the houses. The outdoor pool was really great, and the slides were a lot of fun. Even though it was very crowded, there was still plenty of room to swim.... There’s also an indoor pool. The park is very large, so it’s a great place to take a walk. There’s a snack bar, restaurants, and a supermarket. We’ve been to several Capfun parks before, but we especially liked this one. We’ll definitely be back.

Online booking is possible, but unfortunately there is no choice of pitch.
On the large camping site there is a supermarket (bread rolls and everything you need), a snack bar, a restaurant (good selection and tasty), a swimming pool, a sauna, a soccer pitch, a bowling alley and an indoor play hall.
The... smaller and quieter site "Het swarte Schaar" is about 500 m away.
We were on this part of the campsite and found clean sanitary buildings. They were cleaned several times a day.
Each pitch had an electricity connection and the water connection was centrally located.
The surrounding area is attractive and very suitable for cycling. The small town of Doesburg, with numerous restaurants and shopping facilities, can be reached by bike in about 15 minutes.

Great entertainment and games for children. Very friendly staff. Dogs are also very welcome here. The swimming pools are fun. The outdoor pool is heated. Wash houses are clean and tidy. Will definitely be back.
Negative ting
Sometimes long distances to toilets and wash house. Depends on the location of the pitch. The restaurant directly in the harbor (on the water) is not recommended at all. Unfortunately very unfriendly staff. Not recommended. Children and dogs are not welcome there.

Nice place, improvements needed
The site is nice, clean, quiet during the week and is beautifully situated on the IJssel. When the water level is low, the musty smell of the water is unbearable. The sanitary facilities looked very good from the outside (closed due to Corona). The restaurants on the campsite are very good at fair prices.... We had private sanitary facilities, clean but already very used and without heating. The service staff should pay a little more attention to the site rules, e.g. dogs are not allowed in the shore area, but there were still campers with dogs there. On the rest of the campsite max. two dogs are allowed, there was a family with up to five large dogs, which didn't bother me at first They were quiet and didn't attract any attention, but why did we have to take our third dog to a kennel. We didn't get an explanation.

The site is beautifully situated on a branch of the IJssel. Ideal for cycling tours and boat trips. There is a lot on offer for children. Great football pitch, indoor/outdoor pool, games paradise etc.. We had a pitch with private sanitary facilities. There seem to be older and newer ones. Our shower... had a curtain, which also looked a bit worn. Unfortunately, the private sanitary facilities cannot be heated, which is not very good for the climate in them. Nothing dries at this time of year. A little tip: if it has been raining for a long time, don't try to maneuver the caravan with the car on the grass. Thanks to the mover, our pitch has no tire marks from spinning wheels.

Anyone using the attractive harbor sites with a motorhome must consider this very carefully. The descent is very steep - as you have to drive up again, the gradient and angle are quite problematic. It is almost impossible not to touch down, and if you stop on the slope it is very difficult to drive off because of the smooth paving stones. In addition, the approx. 50 m long access road to the pitches on the shore is very hilly with deep potholes.

I am disappointed...
... untrimmed hedges that overgrow the footpath, paved paths that have been partially reclaimed by grass and have DEEP potholes and grooves, unmown meadows, smelly little house as private sanitary facilities. In my opinion, too many "well" points for a fairly high-priced campsite. The very friendly reception... really is a ray of hope, but over 150 euros for a Corpus Christi weekend for two would have been too much for me. Good thing we had a voucher from a large Dutch leisure market! The location on the IJssel arm with the harbor and dike etc. is very nice, as was the town of Doesburg. The restaurant on site was also OK. I found it strange that only "emergency toilets" are available at night and the sanitary building is closed. I have never experienced this before. There were lots of little things that we didn't like. We are therefore unlikely to return.

Pitch on the water without luxury but nice.
We had a pitch by the water that was big enough for cars and caravans. No luxury but nice. The sanitary building behind the small hill at the registration is NEW, nicely furnished and equipped. It was always clean. Only the water jet from the showers could be increased a little. The supermarket is well... equipped. I would even give 6 stars to the lady at reception. Friendly, very good information and helpful. We didn't use the swimming pool as the roof was being renovated. That's where the nice lady at reception comes into play again. Our neighbor had arrived with her son and he didn't really have much fun because he found few children and the swimming pool was closed. The receptionist canceled the family's booking after 2 days and was also helpful in finding and booking another pitch that we recommended to the family for their son. That was a nice gesture from the operator who made it possible for the family to have a nice vacation after all by restricting the swimming pool.

Fall vacation
We had a pitch by the water. This pitch resembled a "field". No water on the pitch, nearest tap approx. 200m. Power connection approx. 50m. The fuse blew after just one hour. TV, coffee machine and lighting were too much. After the second night, when the awning was destroyed due to the strong storm,... we wanted to leave. The departure was a disaster. We and our friends got stuck on the field (even though it hadn't rained much). It was so bad for our friends that they had to be pulled out.
