Positive ting
We were there with two adults and two children (ages 8 and 10). We all had our own things to do. You can visit the goats, go to the heated outdoor pool, head to one of the playgrounds, or get out on the water by boat or SUP. We were there during the off-season because our summer vacation was very late. There were no entertainment activities during that time, but we didn’t miss them. The restrooms are very spacious and clean. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
Negative ting
Showers cost 5 kroner, though there are some additional fees. The price itself could be a little lower. We paid 63 euros per night for 2 adults and 2 children in the most affordable category.
A beautiful, quiet campground for families
All in all, the campground is really beautiful and well-maintained. Our kids would love to go back because they spent all their time with the goats and cats. We parents also had a relaxing stay.

Positive ting
The canoe trip on the Gundena river is beautyfyll from here and easy. Start from the campsite and the bus brings you right back afterwards. The simmingpool with waterslide was great for the kids. The campingshop is good and well equipt

There are no places directly on the campsite without electricity. In that case you have rent a more expensive spot with the electricity. Secondly the deers calling theri young and cow with bell were noisy during nighttime (we were staying right next to the pasture).
Nice camping and staff with excellent canoeing and swimmingpool
Realt nice and calm camping owner, who speaks english very well. The campers on site were very quiet in the evenings when we were there.
There is enough to do for the kids and they really try to program nice activities for them.
The location on Jutland is very central and you can go in any which direction tou want from here.

Nice campground; there’s plenty for the kids to do. The pool is really fun and heated; the kids really loved the water slides. Very friendly staff and delicious fresh rolls in the morning. Great location and a good base for fun (active) outings.

We rented a tent through Vodatent. Safari tents with private bathrooms—very clean and fully equipped. The beds were so comfortable!

A really great campground!
As soon as we arrived, we were immediately struck by the little goats at the entrance and the campground’s natural atmosphere! What a rustic setting! And everything else is so well-maintained, too! Super friendly owners! It’s definitely a blast, especially with kids!

We had a wonderful vacation, thanks in part to the great campground; the region is beautiful and there’s plenty to do.

Everything your heart desires! A great wildlife enclosure, beautiful surroundings with the reservoirs, a swimming pool, childcare, spacious campsites, and friendly, helpful staff. It’s a shame we were just passing through.

35 years of experience with the campsite
The right terrain for every camper.
Whether in the sun or close to nature, there is something for everyone here.
There is even a dog park for dog owners.
The owners are very friendly and always ready to help,
Even when it comes to unusual requests.
The pool is well maintained (I worked in this area)....
The sanitary facilities are also in top condition
and equipped with a special children's area for all ages.
Here the little ones can climb onto the royal throne
and do their business.
This campsite is not one of the best in Denmark for nothing

Even the telephone reservation made us look forward to our stay. Very nice host couple. We felt immediately welcome on arrival.

It´s nice to see the Gudenå Project direcly from the Camping side. They are finished with it before sommerholidays and then the river is going back in the old system. The workers are working hard from morning to evening, but did not interrupt the campingarea. No problem to sleep at different times at the day.

We had a wonderful stay at this very clean and lovingly run campsite. The site is surrounded by beautiful nature and offers the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a few days of peace and relaxation. The operators are exceptionally friendly and support you with heart and soul in every situation - you feel welcome from the very first moment. We particularly liked the daily bread roll service with a great and fresh selection in the morning. Our pitch was super spacious and well-maintained, as were the entire surroundings. The sanitary facilities were always clean and simply perfect. The campsite is also an ideal starting point for visiting the surrounding towns and sights. We would love to come back and can recommend this campsite without reservation!

Anyone who has anything to complain about or criticize here should perhaps try camping on the moon - there's neither nature, nor animals, nor this incredibly clean and well-kept environment in all areas. 😄 Everything is just right here: dreamlike tranquillity, beautiful nature, friendly operators and a level of cleanliness that sometimes makes you wonder whether a cleaning fairy is secretly out at night. Even the animals seem more relaxed here than some vacationers. In short: there is absolutely nothing negative to report - except perhaps that you have to leave again at some point. 🚐🤗🍀

We had a fantastic stay at this camping site. The old place was well rented and well kept, and the site is surrounded by the most beautiful nature. Here you can find real peace and quiet.

There are also many venerable and beautiful spots and drivers are surrounded by woods and lakes. Tomorrow we will... be able to take fresh round trips with a fast exhaust.

The pitches were clean and spacious, and the sanitary facilities were always very perfect and clean.

If you can't find anything to complain about here, you'll just have to keep your eyes open when camping in the city. 😄 Her er der absolut intet negativt at sige!

Very quiet, great place. Small petting zoo, swimming fun for the children. Clean toilets and showers. You can even stand away from civilization, there is an extra pitch for this.

Family friendly campsite for all ages
We have visited Citraef every year on Ascension weekend since 1991 (except in 2020 due to COVID-19).
The soul(s) of this campsite are Peter and Lene, who are always ready to solve problems, big and small. Over the years they have become like friends, which is one of the reasons why Vestbirk Camping has... become our second home.
It has everything you need: nature, peace, but also activities for the younger ones. Bouncy castles, several playgrounds, a pool, sauna, mini golf and canoe rental are some of the things that make this site special.
The central location makes excursions throughout the region easy.
The toilets are in excellent condition and the water park for younger guests is worth a visit.
Many animals can be observed while walking around the grounds.
Every year we are especially happy to see the new arrivals among the goats that make the petting zoo unsafe.
