Very friendly welcome, lovingly designed grounds, pitches right by the sea or under beautiful trees, great creative workshop, relaxed lounges

Feel-good camping
A feel-good campsite, family-run and very friendly. Some of the pitches are playfully tucked away, everything is lovingly designed and cared for. (There is even a ghost trail through a small wood) The sanitary facilities are very clean. The location of the campsite is brilliant, you can walk and cycle... very nicely. The long footbridge into the dunes and the sunset are picturesque. There is a creative workshop, well equipped for drawing, painting or having fun with other materials - which is also fun for adults. Many thanks for that, Ida! We would have loved to stay longer, hopefully we'll be back soon!

Fantastic campsite with beautiful location
Super nice campsite with a fantastic view. We had booked a spot overlooking the water and what a beautiful spot this was!

We were kindly received & at the campsite there are plenty of facilities. The area is beautiful for hiking. Young & old, no one will be bored on this beautiful campsite.

Also convenient that you can order sandwiches for the day after.

Very clean sanitary facilities, of which the showers are quite spacious anyway.

Positive ting
Great campsite. Beautiful nature, great beach and lovely people.
Negative ting
There is no bus for those of us who don't have a car, so it's a bit of a hassle from Fårevejle church town to the campsite.
Best weekend
Finn and Ida who run the campsite are warm, friendly and always helpful. It's beautiful, lovely and was perfect for a weekend to recharge my batteries. I can highly recommend Sanddobberne Camping.

Positive ting
Sanddobberne Camping is the friendliest campsite I have ever been to. The location right next to the water, the nature, the creative surroundings with paintings and several good playgrounds, as well as very friendly people, are probably what I like best.
Negative ting
The wind can be a bit strong at times.

We will definitely come again! You feel comfortable here. Everything is clean and tidy and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Cozy pitches both by the water and in the shade between beautiful old trees. The hike up to Vejrhøj and a visit to a local potter was a success. I can recommend the campsite's barbecue chicken.

Positive ting
- Parking lot in front of the pitch - Free shower - Beach at the campsite (shallow and suitable for children) - Bread roll service - Kitesurfing paradise 😉 (At least if you book a beach spot, you should be windproof, sand pegs are also important!!!!)
Negative ting
If you want to complain on a high level, a beach shower wouldn't be bad to rinse off the sand. We "abused" the dog shower for our feet and shoes.
Fantastic view
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really a very nice place with fantastic sunsets, a beach that is ideal for children as it is always shallow (and therefore warm enough)
Logically, you should have sand pegs with you 😉.
We had underestimated the wind in the most challenging section.
Otherwise, there is everything a camper ❤ could... wish for.
The ice cream is delicious 🍨, you should try it!
The small store also has the essentials.
Above all, very nice people.
We had a family bathroom, but you don't have to. There are plenty of showers, wash cubicles and toilets (all very clean)!

Lovely family-run campsite in a beautiful landscape
Sanddobberne campsite is a medium-sized, family-run site located directly on the west coast of Sjælland. It is largely unspoilt and blends in well with the Odsherred landscape. First of all, if you are looking for a vibrant camping life, you are in the wrong place, in other words, it is quiet here. But... if that's what you're looking for, you're in very good hands here! The site is parceled out, or rather, the individual pitches are numbered. The individual pitches are not arranged row by row, but are scattered across the site. That looks nice for a start. The pitches directly by the sea are of course arranged next to each other, but at the back the pitches are located under loose trees, which determine the layout of the pitches. There are beautiful pitches everywhere, sheltered from the wind and in some cases with little visibility, which I find gives the site a very homely character. As I like to have an unobstructed view of the sea, I chose a pitch in the front row with a view of the water and the bathing island in front (accessible via a jetty). It was the end of May 2019 and (unfortunately from the operator's point of view) everything was still free, so at this time of year you can even spend nice days here with a view of the sea if you're lucky. Of course, if you stay here, you have to be prepared for the fact that it can blow quite strongly from the sea. If you don't like this, you can look for a sheltered spot at the back. As is so often the case on smaller family-run campsites, I received an extremely friendly welcome here too. The reception was already closed when I arrived, but as the family lives on the site, it only took a few minutes to check me in. What more could you want! As for the sanitary facilities: although they are no longer brand new, they are well maintained and super clean. I can't say what it looks like in high season (this depends a lot on the behavior of the guests!!). What is particularly positive is that showers (hot) are included. No need to insert a coin or swipe a card, just press a button and the water flows. Even if the water runs dry after a few minutes, simply press the button and you can continue soaping yourself in peace. This arrangement is rarely found on campsites, which is why it is particularly convenient from the guests' point of view. Another detail: the two-part shower cubicles have a wooden bench in the anteroom. This may sound unspectacular, but you will appreciate this help at the latest when you want to pull your socks over your semi-dry feet. Another seemingly minor detail: there is a shower curtain that separates the actual shower from the anteroom. That's great, because it keeps your clothes and the floor dry, which is also very rare. There are many Danish festival campers at Sanddobberne. In reviews, you often read about the strained relationships between the travelers and the permanent campers. I didn't get that impression here at all. On the contrary, you were greeted in a very friendly manner and there were plenty of opportunities to strike up a conversation, a very nice experience. In my opinion, the prices are average for Denmark. As everywhere else, you pay more for pitches with a view of the water, which is not only the case here and is understandable. Details of the prices can be found on the campsite's website. But once again, showers are included. For your information, I paid EUR 270 (including electricity, tent and car) for 11 days at the end of May. The site has a very large recreation room, a kitchen (stoves, microwave at no extra cost !!!), washing machines and dryers are also available, but these are coin-operated. I also liked the small herb garden, which you can help yourself to as a guest!!! Also worth mentioning is the art studio, where you can get artistic under the guidance of the owner family. Just ask at reception for the times. There is also a small store at reception, which stocks the necessary everyday items. For bulk purchases, there is a supermarket in Havnsø (approx. 5 km) and a small shopping center with a supermarket and discount store in Asnæs (approx. 9 km). So plan your shopping a little, then you won't "starve". Conclusion: a beautifully situated and attractive campsite with a view of the Baltic Sea and the island of Nekselø. If you have any questions or problems, you can always contact the operators Ida Trier and Finn Kristiansen, who really take care of every problem.

Positive ting
The location, friendliness and cleanliness.
Negative ting
Depending on the location, there is some traffic noise during the daytime.
DCU Camping Sanddobberne is a well-located and good campsite
DCU Camping Sanddobberne stands out first and foremost for its location and very friendly hosts. But the cleanliness of both the service buildings and the campsite itself should also be emphasized. Depending on the location, there can be some traffic noise. Especially during the day it is very pronounced.... Along the waterfront itself, there are some spaces that cannot be reserved. As far as we know, they are mainly reserved for people passing through. The site is overgrown with several old trees. You can like it or not. In any case, it is very limited what changes the nature authorities allow.

Positive ting
Beach and that the rows to the front cannot be reserved so good pitches are available for non reservation visits.
Negative ting
Distance for shopping
Beautiful campsite located directly to the waterfront
A very nice location and beautiful nature around. Biggest advantage is the possibility to drop by and get a pitch to the waterfront as they cannot be reserved. Cleaning in top, friendly service. On site shop is looking really poor and closed from 12 to 14 even here in peak season, and there is a "long" way to nearest supermarket.

Dejlig rolig plads med smukke parceller både i naturområde mellem fyrretræer og klitter - gode læ muligheder - men også pladser ud til vand.

If you have problems with the sand in the tent - then you can't use these places! It's so quiet in nature - but nature is also IND !!!

Very nice campsite right on the water. The beach is reached via a small bridge. The water is very shallow, but also warm. There is no meadow for tents, but each tent has its own pitch. These are nicely separated by windbreaks and shrubs. This gives you peace and quiet. The sanitary facilities are all new. The shower is included in the price. On our tour, this was the most beautiful site of all.

Natural site with pitches on the beach and between stunted pines. A great sandbank serves as a bathing beach, which can be reached via a bathing bridge. From here, the water is very shallow - ideal for children. The spacious sanitary building has been completely renovated and modernized and makes a very spacious and clean impression.
